SV Sandhausen - 1.FC Kaiserslautern

Only 100 km between these two clubs and therefore it is called a derby. On 7. Round 1.FC Kaiserslautern face a hard task at Sandhausen because they play very defensive minded and they allow not much. The game is for Kaiserslautern very important, but not the only reason, according to their table position of great importance. They must find back on track because of only 4 Points out from 4 matches is to less to compete in promotion race. In order for the race to climb places they have nothing else as to win here.

This is the second time for Oliver Schäfer on the bench as headcoach after he got a draw against Cottbus where they had a lot of work to do according to their fast red card and especially two times down but they fought back and got at least a draw. In this match they showed a good mentality and they looked very strong and push a lot. If all players work together they can be a hard nut to beat but it is not always the case. Oliver Schäfer has the opportunity to recommend a long term contract as headcoach if he continues like last match, this is an official statement from management. Although some media reports says that Kosta Runjaic comes as new coach to Kaiserslautern. So you see, a lot of trouble for the position as Coach and this can be not very helpful to prepare for an important match. Hopefully the team are brave enough and look only on their job and not on some papers. Against his debut as Coach Schäfer has to change one time as with captain Dick is his back wing out due to suspension he got vs. Cottbus. Also his replacement is not available due to shoulder injury and therefore he must improve a bit there. It can be that offensive player Matmour plays again on the back wing as he did in the end of the match against Cottbus. The role from Matmour as right wing could take Andrew Wooten who is expected there as he knows Sandhausen very well because he was on loan there last season. Otherwise no more changes. Lautern again without Alushi, Torrejon, Bunjaku, Idrissou and Riedel. A lot of good players are not available but they have to do their best for a good result here.

Even Sandhausen has a player in starting lineup who plays last season for the opposite. With Linsmayer is a former FCK player as starter expected. He changed because he saw no chance to be a regular player there. He does the step and he played well beside Kulovits so far. Overall Coach Schwartz sees no reason to change his team after winning their first match in Munich 2-0 against 1860. They showed a very strong performance there and allowed 1860 not much. This is needed again today as with Kaiserslautern one of the top promotion candidates arrive but he is a bit in crisis at the moment. Maybe this the the chance form small club Sandhausen. Especially David Ulm is a big hope who presented himself after his long injury twice in good shape and also today is set to start again. Sandhausen miss with Zimmermann, Kübler, Klotz and Luft some, but only Zimmermann was starter.

SC Paderborn - Karlsruher SC

In the past season they were not very pleased at SC Paderborn with the performances on home soil, only five wins were against six defeats. This season, Coach André Breitenreiter sees his team on the best way to reverse this trend: "We have shown in all three home games good performance and want to be the home power.  The unfortunate defeat against Kaiserslautern was followed by a 1-1 draw against 1. FC Cologne and the first home win against 1860 Munich 1-0. After an equal balance against the top three promotion candidates they will now want to celebrate their second home win against promoted team from Karlsruhe. With a win they could at least temporarily leave the relegation zone behind them. According to this Breitenreiter wants to play offensive for the win today despite some missing he has to replace. With similar self confidence comes Karlsruhe to the game today. Despite a small run without a win in their past three matches the current fifth think they are on a good way as away from home they have taken seven points from three matches so far. Coach Markus Kauczinski estimates the current standings of the teams in this early stage of the season but realistic. Overall in 10 matches there was no draw so far, only wins, 6 for Paderborn and 4 for KSC.

The hosts are missing MID Alban Meha (long term injured), DEF Christian Strohdiek (Shoulder injury), MID Daniel Bruckner (abdominal muscles) and STR Mahir Saglik (back) a number of experienced players. At center back Martin Amedick will replace Strohdiek and comes to his third start. The missing from striker Saglik probably compensate Elias Kachunga. For the vacant position on the left is the most likely scenario that Daniel Brückner (doubtful) takes the offensive part while new signing Florain Hartherz (from Werder Bremen) gets his chance immediately as defender to prove his skills in starting eleven.

In contrast to his colleague from Paderborn KSC Coach Kauczinski can choose from almost all players from his squad, only long term absent Martin Stoll in unavailable. In spite of this will probably be at least one change in the starting lineup. On the left back it is likely that Dennis Kempe move in the team while Michael Vitzthum must on bench, although he played well in his first few matches of the season in 2.Bundesliga. Also in offensive Coach Kauczinski has several options here but apparently tends to play with the same duo Micanski and Nazarov from beginning on as both played already in game against Aalen. Both worked well together what KSC Coach mentioned. But on the scoring efficiency, however, the attack must still work. Because with only six goals scored in the previous six matches, KSC is a hit worse than SC Paderborn in this category. In particular this is still highly upgradable from both sides.

VfR Aalen - 1860 München

After four points from their last two tough games against 1 FC Kaiserslautern (4-0) and in Karlsruhe (1:1) VfR Aalen once again standing for a difficult task with TSV 1860 Munich at their own Arena this Friday evening. The Lions comes here for the first time with their new coach Friedhelm Funkel after knocked out Schmidt after less success. For Funkel this is the first match after his arrangement with Alemannia Aachen where he was fired on 1 April 2012 and he returns after one and a half year in second Bundesliga again. Nevertheless a hard task for him as 1860’s goal is to get promoted and he got only a contract till the end of the season. If he has less success in this season, his time is gone immediately.

Even no one makes no secret in Aalen from the fact that the change of 1860’s Coach has come at a bad time at today's opponents. Despite this, they want to continue their small series and establish themselves away from the relegation zone. Coach Ruthenbeck wants to count on the same eleven as he did in the past matches and it was with success anyway. Alternatives are less, because their new on loan signed finish striker Pohjanpalo comes injured to them and needs some time to recover. He is only ready in October to help his new team. Therefore Robert Lechleitner is the only one striker again, but he said that he feel much more comfortable in this position as on the wing. He showed this already as he scored his first goal this season against KSC where he plays up front and not on the wing. He will be flanked by Valentini and Klauß who should be the guys who assist him. Aalen’s play is more from a good defense over fast counter and they allow not much space as they stand compact. This is their style and they continue this because only with this they can exist in this league as small club.

After 1860’s big disaster against relegation candidate Sandhausen (0-2) who was the fact for sucking Coach Schmidt. Compared to this match new Coach Funkel plans a few changes in his starting lineup now. First one can be on the back wing where Moritz Volz disappointed in the past and Wojtkowiak gets a new chance here. Also on the other side Schindler was not on his best shape against Sandhausen but he stays in team maybe. In central midfield Daniel Adlung meanwhile has not performed well in his six starts and will probably be replaced by Daniel Bierofka who is back after his injury and could play beside Yannick Stark which would significant help the team just in terms of experience safely. After the offensive line including the substitute player failed completely against Sandhausen, there may be changes too. More likely, however, and lack of alternatives Funkel counts on the same offensive quartet with Stoppelkamp, Tomasov, Lauth and Hain. But of course some other options are maybe there if Adlung lose his place in central midfield he can play on the wing as well. Also up front some other players are ready for playing. Overall Funkel can give 1860 a batch and lead them to better times.

SV Wehen Wiesbaden - MSV Duisburg

An important match for both teams, because both lost their last match under the week and need to bounce back today. Therefore they have to invest much more as they did there. Nevertheless Wehen lost to strong Erfurt clear 0-3 while MSV Duisburg were not able to win their home match against bottom team Borussia Dortmund II. Both teams made more a step back as forward, in this case it is very important to see who can get back on track.

Home side had mentioned several times that they want to get promoted in past season. If they have done like this they had a lot of problems and they were almost relegated last season. Maybe they get wiser and they do not say something of their goals this season. Maybe this is an important fact that the pressure on the team is not such high as it was in past season. Coach Vollmann works very well and with passion he has build up a very good team so far. They did a great job in their 7 matches so far although they lost last time, nevertheless with a win they can go even with leader Heidenheim and stands on top of the table, also with a draw or lose they are safe on second place. They are two points ahead and this gives them a lot of range at the moment. But coach Vollmann has to improve a lot because of a lot of absent players. Defender Herzig (6 matches / 0 goals) got injured, DEF Straith (5/0) is with his national team, DEF Gusche (2/0), MID Zieba (2/0) are injured while Christ, Döringer, Röser, Gyasi, Vetter and Königs are all facing long term injuries. In this case Coach Vollmann has to change his defensive row twice because with Herzig and Straith are both central backs out. On the other side he can count on a good offensive line, same almost as MSV and he has with Vunguidica an absolutely in form player in his rows who is good for some goals.   

Although MSV Duisburg got no license and has to go down from 2.Bundesliga to 3.Bundesliga they did a great job so far. Also the management who has to form a new team in short time did well. Of course they have not the preparation what a team normally need for a season but it looks like that all are absolutely focused to bring some positive mood back to the fans and club. No one has expected that they play so well in the first matches, so it is a big surprise that they stands so well in table. With a win they can go even with 3rd Kiel. Against last match Coach Baumann mentioned that they played to open and gives to much space for their opponent because with defensive line played to high and therefore he wants to build up a more strong defensive line today. With two central midfield players with Feisthammel and Öztürk. Defensive line looks like Kühne and Bajic plays central back while Marcel Lenz must replace first keeper Ratajczak because of injury. Also defender Bollmann is suspended while Orsula hopes to play for his national U21 team from Slovakia. The offensive works well and it was not the problems for Duisburg above all Onuegbu scores as he wants.

Some trouble before the match because SV Wehen Wiesbaden announced that they do not want to play because of their absent national player but MSV said that they do not want to move this game. So it can be very hot atmosphere between these two teams. 

1.FC Kaiserslautern - Energie Cottbus

This evening Kaiserslautern hosts Energie Cottbus to finish Round 6 in 2.Bundesliga. After many of the other promotion contenders as Fortuna Düsseldorf, 1860 Munich and Greuther Fürth were not such successful this weekend, this can be a great opportunity for Kaiserslautern to jump with a win on the second place. But they need a much better performance as last time where they lost in Aalen 0-4 what was unbelievable and the reason to fire Coach Foda. Therefore they have to increase their performance a lot. Especially with Cottbus they face a very strong opponent who could also make a big step in table with a win.

After Coach Foda was fired this week Kaiserslautern’s previous fitness trainer Oliver Schäfer is sitting on the bench as interim coach and will be assisted by team manager Roger Lutz. The duo has at least the chance to recommend for a permanent engagement according to the official statements of club boss Stefan Kuntz, for which, however, a victory would be necessary. What changes the new coaching duo will do to previous week remains to be seen. But overall from too many personal changes are more likely not to be assumed. Therefore it seems that Schäfer gives the same lineup a chance of reparation apart from suspended striker Idrissou whose place probably takes Zoller. Is also likely, that Fortounis loses his place in the starting eleven, and Occean begins instead of him as second striker. Maybe this can be a good choice above all in home matches Kaiserslautern should be as dominant as they can. Their fans are there and they push their team very well.

Same situation for Cottbus as Kaiserslautern has, also they lost last match and they miss their top scorer Sanogo with suspension. This is a big blow because he scored already 6 times and was the man in the past for Cottbus. For him can get Mosquera a chance from beginning but he was not on his best level and if he was in team he disappointed a lot. Very important is the return from striker Jendrisek who got injured in training but is ready for the match against his former club. He is for sure motivated against his old team mates. Besides Sanogo coach Rudi Bommer has yet to replace a second suspended player with Alexander Bittroff. His place can get the new singed Hungarian Svab who will celebrate his debut as left back here. The missing players hurt Cottbus and overall make them a bit weaker above all in offensive they must improve a lot without Sanogo.

Eintracht Frankfurt - Borussia Dortmund

The start into the season was more a disaster because they lost their opener against newcomer Hertha BSC Berlin 1-6, next one was a bit better but they lost vs Bayern Munich 0-1 at home. Therefore they had some doubt about the EL qualification matches against Qadag. Despite the long trip they had they made a good match there and got their self confidence back with a 2-0 win. Some days later they won very easy against harmless newcomer Braunschweig where Alex Meier was again one of the key players. Nevertheless they managed the qualification to EL although it was harder as expected but only the success counts here. With only two days rest they have the next big match ahead with facing Borussia Dortmund. Against first match, their defensive looks much better now and they play much more stable now. With Zambrano as head of the defensive but also Andersen returns after injury and gives the team much more as Russ did. Although important wing Jung is still injured it is no problem so far because with Schröck or Celozzi in the past, both did a great job. Overall the good defensive is the key for their success in the past matches but also the offensive worked well above all Alex Meier was in great shape, scoring for free at the moment. But the situation is getting worse for him now as he got injured on Thursday and is out for the match today. A big blow for Coach Veh, but he has to count on new signing Kadlec who gave his debut in Braunschweig already but he needs still time. Also Joselu or Rosenthal can be options to play from beginning on. After Aigner showed some uptrend in the past matches he can be an important man in Frankfurt's play today anyway. He was one of the best players for Frankfurt last season and it seems he is back on track now. The only problem can be that they do not know the handicap with two matches in 4 days.

Giant Dortmund started very well into the season and they walk on at the moment. They want to do better as last year as they had some problems to beginning and lost a lot of points there. This time they are more focused and they take it more serious. With Pisczek and Gündogan they have two starters unavailable but it is not such important because Coach Klopp got some alternatives before the season. Therefore he can choose from much more now and he has a lot of options to rotate a bit or give some players some rest. Goal position is clear with Weidenfeller, also defensive row with Großkreuz, Subotic, Hummels and Schmelzer. Maybe Sokratis plays instead of Subotic or Hummels, this can be the option for Klopp here. Midfield also some options but normal lineup can be Sahin, Bender or Kehl, Reus, Kuba or Aubameang and Micki. Striker Lewandowski. The battle for the places is huge as we have with Sokratis, Kehl, Hofmann, Aubameang a lot of players who are very close to starting lineup but maybe this is the key this season for Dortmund as they had not the deep squad last season to be competitive. A big plus for them maybe.

- Eintracht Frankfurt is the best team man vs man with 54% of their duels won.
- Dortmund scored three times in the last 15 minutes this season.
  

1.FC Köln - Erzgebirge Aue

After Greuther Fürth, Fortuna Düsseldorf and 1860 Munich have failed three competitors on friday Cologne has the big chance to land a big point with a win against Aue today and get closer to the top of the table. However, they have 7 points on their side with 4 draws and one win from their past five matches but Cologne should not underestimate this side from Aue. The Violets have already won three times and finally beat with a strong performance Energie Cottbus 2-1 in East derby.

Last weekend Colonge showed rising form against Fürth with a 0-0 draw but could only win against Sandhausen 2-0 at home two weeks ago. Nevertheless after this performance manager and fans hope that they are able to continue this way and have the better time in the end of  the season to get promoted. Especially in offensive they have a lot of problems and they were not able to create much or finish their actions, this is because of the weakness of form from striker Ujah at the moment. But of course the nigerian received to less assists from his team mates and therefore he was not able to show his strength in front of the goal. For this reason Coach Stöger thinking to move away from the last practiced 4-4-2 system with two strikers. As indicated in training this week that Jajalo is installed as an additional creative force in midfield while striker Przybylko move out of the starting lineup. In addition as youngster Gebhardt comes into the team against Fürth he was a very active guy and he has the momentum on his side, this can be a sign for Matuschyk that he is replaced by the youngster today. Thus Stöger would be back at his rehearsed system in preparation with 4-3-3, the system can be safely interpreted as a 4-2-3-1 or 4-1-4-1 depending on the situation and Matthias Lehmann of all midfielders will be focused on the defensive. 

In Aue they are very pleased about their good start with 3 wins out of 5 matches, this means that they are near the top of the table but they have to continue if they do not want that they go down. Sure. the team is not called for such high places but they must collect points against relegation and if they can get as much as they can it is the better way otherwise they getting nervous in the end of the season. In Aue coach Falko Goetz has to plan without veteran Kevin Schlitte who has suffered a muscle tear in training and is unavailable today. So it is good that captain Klingbeil after recovering from injury is once again available and can take its place on the right wing. In Auer defensive, in which are with Kevin Pezzoni, Tobias Nickenig and Oliver Schröder three former Cologne players are no changes expected. In the offensive newcomer Arvydas Novikova has secured his place with the two goals against Cottbus. Also Sylvestr and Okoronkwo should remain starting lineup, whereas the Japanese Ishihara probably have to move on the bench after two weaker performances. Therefore Kocer can get a chance as left wing. 

FC Schalke 04 - Bayer Leverkusen

The season starts not so well for Schalke 04, they are winless in their first 3 BL matches and they made a lot of mistakes in defensive. Above all after corners they had a lot of problems and conceded a lot. Nevertheless they had an agreement before the season that they have to pay if they conceded after standards. And after these 3 matches the players have to pay a lot. Maybe the advance to CL group stage gave them more self confidence and they are more focused on the BL match as they were in the past. After they reach this important goal they signed with Aogo a new back wing and with Prince Boateng from AC Milan an absolutely leader for the team. With these players they want to do better but the expectations are high after this. Of course they need both immediately because they have a lot of unavailable players. Aogo plays for Fuchs who is suspended because his replacement Kolasinac is injured too. He should stop quick wing Sam from Bayer Leverkusen what is a huge task for him at his first match. Also in central back they need a new one because with Höwedes they have the next suspended player and for him can play Santana beside Matip but they were not such stable in the past. Next big blow is striker Huntelaar who is out injured but Szalai was a good replacement in the past and also in Saloniki where he scored after great assist from Draxler. But he is doubtful after hand injury but must play anyway because of no alternative at the moment. They search for a new striker already but soled Pukki to Celtic Glasgow. No problems has Coach Keller in midfield where he can choose from a lot like Farfan, Boateng, Draxler, Jones, Clemens, Höger, Jones Goretzka and Meyer.

Bayer 04 Leverkusen is on a good way and Coach Hyppiä made a great job so far. He is the headcoach now and have to make the decisions. Sportmanager Völler gave him a lot of good players and they have a very good and strong squad, they play really well at the moment and they are on a good way to get closer to Bayern Munich or Borussia Dortmund. With a win they can be on top of the table at least for some hours because Borussia Dortmund plays tomorrow. Not many changes expected as the team worked well and showed their good style of play. Only one open position maybe if Hilbert or Donati plays as back wing. All the others are the same as form last weekend. Of course some players has less time to show their skills but sooner or later they get their chance as with a lot of matches coming up in CL or Cup. With Wollscheid, Rolfes, Can, Kruse and Hegeler they have some good players on bench who are normally have the class for the starting lineup. A bit curious was that striker Milik left to Augsburg on loan but on the other side they signed Derdioyk from Hoffenheim as replacement for Kießling. Funny decisions. 

Overall the CL quali can be a big disadvantage for Schalke early this season because they invest a lot and they had to play with 10 men after Jones got the red card. Leverkusen is well rested and has the focus only on this match. I see Leverkusen much better prepared as Schalke here and they have the form additional.

Union Berlin - FC St. Pauli

This encounter is a match between two traditional clubs in Germany with huge fan support. Both sides have excellent fans and they show it every weekend with their great support and also great atmosphere. This can be a very nice one to watch too. But also an important match for both because with a win both can get closer to the top. 

Union Berlin is known for their home strength and this is an advantage for them, to get such a good support the whole match even if they are down or lead. Their start was not very good with the home lose against Bochum but they turned things around and after this match they played better and better. The team looks much better as last season and they got a lot of good and experienced players to strength their squad a lot. They play more stable now also away from home what was the big disadvantage last season although they finished good. For this encounter Coach Neuhaus counts on the same lineup as he did in Frankfurt where they got a draw but showed the better style of play. Defender Eggimann returned last week and trained well, he started against FSV and has not problems also this trainings week. Therefore he plays again beside Schönheim. In central midfield no changes because with Özbek is Neuhaus alternative player out who got injured in home match against Düsseldorf where they showed their best performance so far. In this case Kreilach and Parensen plays today again. Last but not least the offense is the same also in home games with only one striker Nemec and Mattuschka behind him. After having success with this system they play it on and hope that they can bring the same good performance as against Fortuna. Not available are Jopek, Razeek and Özbek.

Although St. Pauli collected 8 Points so far it was not such good above all their play is very slow and they created to less, or if they created it was all missed. Of course they play stable in defensive but in offensive they have some problems, their scoring rate is very low. Nevertheless they have fast wings but they have not the man in the middle who is a real scorer not Verhoek and also not Nöthe. Coach Frontzeck tried both but maybe Verhoek could only showed his level against Bochum, the other matches was nothing and Nöthe in all matches. Against Dresden they won only due to a free kick from youngster Maier and had luck that they fall not behind but keeper Tschauner saved Dresden's penalty from Fiel. At this match Boll and Bartels were substitute with injuries but returned in the middle of the week to training. Therefore they are ready for this match and Coach Frontzeck can count on them. Although Boll had not his best day but should play from beginning on again, if Buchtmann is the second man beside him central or experienced Kringe is not out. All the other positions are the same as it seems more and more that Frontzeck has found his starting lineup after a few experiments in the past. Pauli miss Mohr, Schachten, Daube and Kalla.

Arminia Bielefeld - Fortuna Düsseldorf

Newcomer Bielefeld started well into the season and they showed that they are able to compete in this league. Their performances were good but they are not very pleased with the outcome so far. They want to do better and in this case they want to win their first home match against Düsseldorf this season. On the other side Düsseldorf after a huge downtrend they showed some improvement, not huge but they do and won 1-0 against Bochum. Now, they want continue their way and climb up in table but this can only happen with a win here.

As I mentioned already Arminia’s performances were well, also last weekend against Ingolstadt where they took the lead twice but could not bring it to an end and lost very unlucky 2-3. After this match we have a national break and if they do not want to stand near the bottom of the table they have to win here. Against the lineup in Ingolstadt Coach Krämer changes back to his normal starting lineup with Lorenz and Hille who was both on bench, surprisingly. For Lorenz is Strifler out of the team, for Hille there are some in danger in offensive midfield from last weekend. Some options and moves or changes in midfield expected, Müller can play as wing and central in midfield both options are possible and if he plays as wing Schönefeld must on bench but if he plays central Jerat is out as starter. Hopefully Coach Krämer does the right things here. On bench will be new signing from Feyenoord Achahbar but no option for the starting lineup so far.  

In Düsseldorf they are more than convinced that they have done the turnaround against Bochum and they hope that they are on the right way now. But they must continue the way they did last weekend. With the returning of long time injured defender Latka the defensive row works much better now. He is the head and very important. In both matches he played they won without conceding a single goal. Therefore no changes in defensive, also central midfield with Bodzek and Fink works much better as with Lambertz instead of Fink. Offensive they have some problems and some changes are expected. Lampertz played on the wing against Bochum because with Bellinghausen’s absent they have no real replacement for the fighter in team. He is still injured and not ready yet. On of the biggest blow is that playmaker Kenia who showed a good form in recent matches is a big doubt for today’s match, also striker Benshop got injured and is not in the squad. Coach Büskens has a lot to do to build up an absolutely new offensive row. Benshop’s replacement can be Hoffer but he is not at 100% and can play maybe 70 minutes while the miss from Kenia is not to replace. Maybe some system change can bring the hopes back and it seems that they count on two strikers. Beside Hoffer plays Reisinger and his open places on the wing can take Bolly. A bit difficult for Düsseldorf today as they have to change and move a lot.

FSV Frankfurt - Greuther Fürth

Coach Kramer must replace striker Djurdic

Wow what a streak, Greuther Fürth’s last defeat against FSV Frankfurt was 31 years ago, exactly on 04.12.1982. But nevertheless they played only 9 times in the past against each other but FSV was not able to win one of these nine. Moreover Coach Möhlmann who was former Coach from Fürth gives not much about this statistic and he said that they are more as able to compete with all teams in this leagues. They have the self confidence and self concept for this but he warns also because with Fürth comes one of the promotion contenders today and they are on a better level maybe same as Union or better. Therefore he requires from his team to play as compact as they can and work together and help each other with or against the ball. On the other side Kramer said that this match is an important one for him and this can be a sign for the upcoming matches. They could show their power against Kaiserslautern and Cologne and this were important lessons that they can compete with Top teams this season and also that they are on a competitive basis.

After 5 Rounds Greuther Fürth is on top of the table with 4 wins and a draw but their performances were not always well and they had some luck in the past as they were totally dominated from KSC but won in the end and also in Aalen or second half against Bielefeld. Nevertheless they got the points and this is the key, nothing else. They play a very compact style and they have a very good team for 2.Bundesliga. Coach Kramer understands to build up a very good squad after their disaster season in 1.Bundesliga. For today he has almost all players available only important striker Djurdic is out beside long term injured Tyrala. This means that he search only for the second striker beside Azemi. This can be power pack Mudrinski or new signed youngster Füllkrug who comes from Werder Bremen on loan. A lot speaks for the new man in team as he is fully fit and was very active this trainings week. Additional is Baba back after his injury and he has worked hard to get closer to the team and after his debut this season last weekend as substitute he is ready for starting today. Coach Kramer was very pleased and praised Baba, this can be a sign too. A small questionmark was behind defender Mavraj after he gets ill under the week but it seems that he is ready for the match. With only two players unavailable Coach Kramer has a very good situation at the moment.

The home team riding a wave of success with 3 unbeaten matches at the moment. In all the past three matches Coach Möhlmann counts on the same starting lineup and has normally nothing to change but they face some problems. Above all defender Huber and Kandziora could not train under the week. Both want to try that they are available but it can be difficult, Kandziora trained on Tuesday already while Huber does only light running. It means more that Kandziora can play while Huber must be replaced by Teixeira. Because of this Möhlmann can not count on the same starting lineup and has to change. Also not available is defender Heitmeier who face some problems and is out. Playmaker Yelen is back in squad and can be an option for some minutes in the end but after the national break he wants to be fully fit and ready for more.

Round 4 starts on Tuesday today, right on Tuesday. Because Bayern Munich plays on friday for the European Supercup against Chelsea in Prague. Therefore this match is terminated earlier this week. This means that not all working well from beginning on because of a lot of new players and changes. Of course Coach Streich is not very pleased about it but he knows and said it already before the season that this will be a very hard season for them and they have to do a lot of work. The first two matches they had almost no chance and were dominated from their opponents, last one it was a curious one against Hoffenheim with a lot of goals, cards and mistakes from both teams. If they should be happy or sad about the point it is very hard to explain, first they were down but in the end they lead 3-2 but were not able to hold Hoffenheim away and allowed them the equalizer in the end. Moreover they got two red cards and both are not available with Mehmedi and Coquelin today. The card for Coquelin was a big doubt and not justified but they have to live with it now. In case of both missing the situation is getting worse now as Coach Streich must change again. Defensvie row should be the same, only Diagne is a doubt with knee problems should he pass Krmas can play instead of him. In central midfield Schuster and Fernandes are set to play there while in offensive Kerk can replace suspended Coquelin as wing. The other option is Hanke who is back in training after his injury but not out what Coach Streich plans. Additional some moves with Guede, Freis and Hanke are possible. Not available are Mehmedi, Hedenstad, Terazzino, Coquelin and Pilar. For this reason a short bench additional for Freiburg. But overall we can expect a much more defensive minded team from Freiburg today.

Bayern Munich started well but they looked not such strong as last season where they played must faster and have much more actions in the box and also some surprise moments on their side. This is gone with the style of Guardiola’s passing play. They play around the box and this very slow what gives their opponent a lot of time to organize their defensive row again. Maybe this style of play is good and Guardiola makes Bayern Munich better in the future but at the moment I see only one step back. Despite their three wins they convinced not much and if they faced a better opponent as they did it would have been not so well result wise. Above all Gladbach has a lot of chances to overcome Bayern but they were not able to use all the space and good opportunities they had. Against Frankfurt it was a bit better in defensive but in the end Frankfurt had the chance to equalize but missed it. Also against Nürnberg last weekend Bayern needs a long time to take the lead but if Ginczek had scored early for Nürnberg in first half Bayern had not won this. Guardiola plans to control the ball as much as they can and also both defensive wings playing more further forward what opened a lot of space for their opponents in the past there. If they can not solve this more problems arrive in the upcoming matches. Bayern’s squad is deep and they have on all positions replacements so it is not such difficult for them to replace Thiago who got injured against Nürnberg and is out longer now, also Kirchhoff was slight injured but not such important anyway. The spain national player Martinez face some problems and is out for this match again. Due to 3 matches in a week some changes are expected. Defensive row can be Lahm (Rafinha), van Buyten (Boateng), Dante and Alaba, central midfield Schweinsteiger, offensive Kroos, Müller, Robben, Ribery (Shakiri) and alone striker Pizzaro. Instead of Thiago and Götze are Kroos and Müller expected because they gave Bayern’s play a lager drive against Nürnberg as Thiago and Götze did. Mandzukic gets a break and Pizzaro his first chance to show his skills.

Normally this is an easy one for Bayern Munich what the last 22 matches between both teams show. In all these matches Bayern Munich lost not one, they won 18 and draw 4, this is the longest streak from teams against each other in Bundesliga at the moment. Despite the problems from Bayern in defense I expect a win for them because Freiburg is to weak at the moment above all in offensive and they have not the fast players they need to come behind both wings from Bayern and use the space they get. FC St. Pauli - Dynamo Dresden

This is the last match from Round 5 where FC St. Pauli faces Dynamo Dresden. The situation from both Teams is a bit different before the match today. While St. Pauli can be pleased with their start into the season where they could collect 5 Points so far is Dresden at the bottom of the table with only 2 Points and after Ingolstadt’s win on Friday. Of course both need the win here. St. Pauli can climb up till Place 5 while Dresden can leave the last Place. Despite all an interesting match ahead.

At St. Pauli were they not very pleased about the information that Dresden sucked their Coach Pacult, above all Coach Frontzeck sees this a bit difficult now as he does not know on which players and tactic interim Coach Menze counts. Nevertheless their focus is the match in Hamburg at St. Pauli today anyway. Against the last match where the performance were more as awful a lot of changes are expected for the lineup today. First one is that Schuppan returns into the starting lineup as back wing while Mravac and Susac battle for the place in central back beside Bregerie. However, the central midfield with Losilla and Fiel is the same as under former Coach Pacult but the biggest changes will be in offensive. Youngster Müller who started against FSV is not even in the squad while alternative Trojan is injured and therefore not available. The wings are filled with Quali and Kempe and up front he counts on two strikers with Pote and Dedic who plays the first time together this season. They did it already some seasons ago and were one of the best offensive duos in 2.Bundesliga. Maybe Menze remember about it. Also midfielder Robert Koch is in the squad again after Pacult sorted him out but Menze give him a new chance and he is on bench today.

One of the promotion contenders are not in best shape, with only 4 points from 4 matches they are far away for a top place in 2.Bundesliga and also for the immediately return into the 1.Bundesliga. After starting well with a win at home and a draw in Cologne they are on a huge downtrend with 3 loses in a row including Cup knock out against Regional League team from Wiedenbrück. Also their fans are not very pleased about and they are against some players what makes the things not easier. According to this they want to stop their negative run today but with Bochum comes a team who has one point more on their side and have played a really good second half against St. Pauli where they were very close to win this in the end despite 0-2. They played really well and started a good comeback and should have won this in the end because they press a lot and invested much more as Pauli. With a bit of luck, they had.

After Düsseldorf's huge downtrend it was not all well in this trainings week because Coach Büskens was very mad about the performance and he talked a lot to his players. Against Union they were totally outplayed in first half and they had no chance there, it was more as lucky that they were only 0-1 down and after they coming out to second half they conceded immediately the 0-2. Only after Reisinger came in and after they scored it was a bit better with their play but overall to less. This means that a lot of changes can be made today. Important defender Latka can give his debut in starting lineup today and in this case Levels can move to his normal position. Level's was the man who made a lot of mistakes and costs some points for his team and also the Cup knock out was according to his mistake. If he stands in starting lineup is not sure because with Balogun he has a good rival who battle for this position together. Also Lampertz is not at his best level and made additional some mistakes what speaks against him now. He can be also out of the team and the more offensive player with Fink can get his chance beside Bodzek in central midfield. But after Bellinghausen got injured who is a lose for the team with his great fighting spirit Lampertz can be an option on this position. A lot of players are disappointed in the past and one of them is also Bolly who must on bench and Reisinger comes in. An option can be new signing Erwin Hoffer who knows this league were well as he played for Frankfurt and Kaiserslautern already but he is only in starting lineup if Büskens tries to play with two strikers what makes it difficult for playmaker Kenia to start then. A lot of changes in team but after such a run Coach Büskens gives all and hopefully he has done the right things.

The situation in Bochum is a bit better and the team got a lot of self confidence with the draw against Pauli although they were close to win. Also a lot of options for Coach Neururer who has a lot to choose from in midfield because with at last suspended Tiffert and Cwielong he gets two players back and also new signing Zahirovic is fit and ready now. This means three alternatives more for him and the battle for the places in team are very hard now. Sure in team are Latza and Jungwirth who played really good against Pauli, while Jungwirth scored the equalizer and was one of the best players on the pitch. Youngster Bulut is no option for the starting lineup but on bench he is. This can be the case for Tiffert although he has a lot of experience and could help the team anyway. Returning Cwielong is immediately in team and plays as wing while Tasaka can move forward and plays maybe former Düsseldorf player Illsö who can get a chance against his former club here. Both are behind the lone striker Sukuta Pasu who is not known for his scoring skills as he needs a lot of opportunities. He looks very harmless in all the matches and I do not know why not Aydin gets the place here. But maybe Coach Neururer knows it surely better.  

SC Paderborn - 1860 München

After less points in the first two matches Paderborn got two draws against Cologne 1-1 and in derby vs. Bielefeld 3-3. They showed that they able to keep up with other teams but they are more as disappointed at the moment. The key for this is that they were in both matches up but in the end they conceded always the equalizer, this means that they should have more points as only 2 at the moment. Maybe they have to work on it to be as concentrated as they can till the final whistle sounds. Nevertheless they want continue their good performances but with more success against 1860 today, on the other side 1860 came from 3 wins in a row and if they continue their winning way they are close to the top where they can be for some time. But I have also to mentioned that their performances were awful although they won these matches, this was a lot of luck for them anyway.

After the match against Cologne at home Coach Breitenreiter seems that he found his first eleven as he counts vs. Bielefeld again on it and wants today too. Overall he was very pleased about the performance from last match, only the defensive work was not so well otherwise they should have not conceded 3 goals. Therefore the focus was more on defensive work this week. Moreover all starters are ready and he can count on the same eleven, only one position he decides short before the match today. Since striker Kachunga is in great form he is set to play but beside him there are some possibilities with Saglik and Rick ten Voorde. Both convinced with goals in the past and therefore it is very close who starts or who is on the bench for the match against 1860. 

The Lions were very pleased with the results in the past matches but not with their performance. Overall this was very weak and in offensive absolutely harmless although they have some good and creative players in their rows but their play is not the best at the moment. With a lucky win against Ingolstadt they continue their streak but they won only due to an own goal from Ingolstadt's defender. Despite this win Coach Schmidt changes again in offensive, what he did already in the matches before. This is not the best sign and also not the best way because the players must appear always new. This help the team not much in my eyes and the bad play continues and the stability of their play is gone. Striker Hain could not use his chance last weekend that he is out of the team and Schmidt has two options here with Wood or Friend but all think that he counts on the quicker and faster man for counter attacks Wood. Daniel Adlung plays again on the central midfield position beside Yannick Stark although he has his strength more as wing as there but with Stoppelkamp and Tomasov both wing players made their job and they are set to play. In defensive Volz and Wojtkowiak battle for the place there, who makes the race is still open but in the past it was the pole. 

VfR Aalen - 1.FC Kaiserslautern

After their huge defeat last weekend Aalen wants to return to winning ways but just today they face one of the top teams in 2.Bundesliga with 1.FC Kaiserslautern. This can be a very hard nut for them and it needs a lot of input and power. But after their 1-5 they have nothing to lose and maybe this is the right opponent to the right time now. On the other side Kaiserslautern expect a more defensive minded Aalen team who count on counter. Because of this they had some example with Aue last weekend as they won 2-1 but the result has been higher anyway. All the players are warned from the result in the past and they know that Aalen is very dangerous and according to their last result much more as normal. They want to turn things around and show that they can be much better as they were in Cottbus. 

After the huge defeat Aalen's coach was relaxed because he knows that this can happen sometimes but we should learn from such matches and do better next time. Therefore he does the same as always in training and preparation for this match but some changes are possible. Their offensive can be with Lechleitner, Klauß and Valentini while Reichwein must on bench then. Some expect changes in the defensive because with 5 goals against them it seems problems at this positions but Coach said that he trust the same although Hübner was involved by 4 goals and had not his best day but he plays according to Coach Ruthenbeck. Hence he counts almost on the same lineup as against Cottbus they should reactivate themselves. Only 2nd keeper Bernhardt got injured in training and is out for this match but should be no problem at all.

Kaisersautern come with a 2-1 win against Aue to Aalen and they want continue their run. This is a must win match for them anyway against a weaker team who plays maybe against relegation while Kaiserlsautern has much higher aims with promotion. No problems has Coach Foda who has all available only long term injured Torrejon, Alushi and Bunjaku are out. Therefore he can choose from a lot as their squad is big. Also defender Orban who got injured against Aue is ready for this match otherwise Simunek and Heintz are options too. According to the players and on what system Foda counts he can play with different models. This means with two strikers or with one striker and an offensive midfield player behind. Option 1: Idrissou/Zoller or Occean and Option 2: Idrissou and midfielder Fortounis. But according to Foda's interview about Fortounis it is very doubtful that he plays as he mentioned that he is not at 100% and he needs still some weeks to reach top level. But he is ready to play from beginning and he has the power for 60 minutes maybe. So it would be interesting what decisions he makes. 

Greuther Fürth - 1.FC Köln

With Coach Kramer, success is back !!!

This match between Greuther Fürth and 1.FC Cologne should have been a top match but it looks more that we do not have this at the moment. Both are promotion candidates before the season but only relegated Greuther Fürth can say this with 4 wins in a row they are on top while Cologne got 3 draws and celebrated their first win last weekend but they were in all their matches not very good, of course Fürth was it too but they got the points. If Cologne do not want to open the gap to nine points it is very important to get a result here or they should win. This can put them in a better position while Fürth with a win is on top for longer.

Ok, Fürth won in Karlsruher but Coach Kramer was not very pleased with the performance from his team, only with the result. He said: If we have lost this, it has been ok anyway. According to this bad performance the focus was huge on this trainings week and he wants to prepare for more stability in his team and defensive as well. So this can be that some of the players who were starters last weekend are on bench this time. First one can be that Fürstner is out of the starting lineup and Brosinski returns on the wing because Fürstner could not convince much there. Also Tom Weilandt who played great as offensive wing against Kaiserslautern move back to his normal position after playing behind the lone striker against KSC. Beside striker Azemi there are some options, if they play with him alone and one player behind him or Kramer wants to put one beside him. Very open at the moment but Drexler was the winning goal scorer vs. KSC or Pledl is also an option but both are more midfield players. The only striker left is Mudrinski and he showed his level already against Kaiserslautern where he scored the winning goal but Coach Kramer said that he has some fitness problems and is not at 100% at the moment.

Many problems in Cologne again also with new Sportmanager Schmadtke and new Coach Stöger. Some days ago Stöger said that his team is not a promotion candidate if he look at the performances they had in the past matches. A lot of work to do for him and his team to bring Cologne back and also to a good level according to their play it is very hard to see them winning because they create less and also score less, this is one of the key facts and problems they had and have. Overall they have to improve in all positions and if they want to start a run they must do it against an direct rival today. This is the right time to show their strength. A lot of changes on the wing was made by Stöger, he let play Bröker, Thiel and Exslager on this position but no one could convince so far and it looks like that new signing who is on loan from Parma Peszko plays from beginning today. He knows Cologne very well after he was some years there already. Maybe some other options with Gebhardt and Halfar are also possible but overall the first one looks more acceptable for Stöger. And up front he plays with two strikers as he did against Sandhausen.

Borussia Dortmund - Werder Bremen

The biggest stadium in Germany will be sold out today. Big and absolutely awesome atmosphere in Dortmund as always where a fanatic crowd pushing Borussia Dortmund. Of course they want to do better as last season where they lost a lot of points to beginning or against weaker teams. Therefore they must be concentrated as much as they can and give all in every match. Their start was good with two victories but they must continue this way if they want to hold the pressure on Bayern Munich high. Overall they had some problems, the first 30 minutes against Augsburg but after the lead it was much better and they got a lot of space and with their fast and quick players it is much easier then. Also against Braunschweig last Sunday, they had a lot of problems above all they had no idea to crack a good organized and well playing defensive minded team from Braunschweig. They need a long time to take the lead and after this they got a lot more space again. So an important fact can be to take the lead as fast as they can to get better into the match and use the individual class of their players better. According to their squad Coach Klopp has a lot of options this season as they strength it very well. With some light rotation he can field his starting lineup today. Only key midfielder Gündogan is out with back problems, the others are all available. On central midfield he can count on Sahin, Bender and Kehl but only 2 plays and it is expected that Bender gets a break and Kehl gives his starting debut this season, also Reus is fully fit and ready to start. A lot of possibilities at offensive midfield with Reus, Micki, Aubameyang, Kuba, Hofmann for only 3 places. Goalkeeper Weidenfeller is some doubt here but Langerak is a good replacement as he showed several times already and also this season in Augsburg. But I am sure that Klopp finds the right lineup for today.

Wow, what a start for Werder Bremen after such an awful preparation, and the additional Cup knock out against 3rd league team from Saarbrücken. Of course it was very important for them to win both matches to work in peace after the turbulences in recent weeks. It was also good for Coach Dutt not to get under much pressure to beginning and they solved this but they should also take a look what opponents they had played. It was only newcomer Braunschweig and Augsburg, both teams are sure relegation candidates and this was maybe a must win situation for Bremen against. Win is win but they were in both matches the weaker side and they won maybe lucky above all in Braunschweig. Nevertheless only the win counts and no one talk how they managed it. With Borussia Dortmund they face a much better team and this can be the first big test for Bremen. They should be not to blind and play an open match here, it can be more save to play with a good and defensive organized system. But Bremen is more a team who run and open a lot what let Dortmund a lot of space and opportunities to create some. If they do like this I see no chance for them but if they could minimize their mistakes in defensive and play as organized as they can very close in defensive they can hurt Dortmund as they need a lot of space for their fast and quick players. Why was Dortmund so successful in CL last season, this was only they play big teams who want to play offensive against them and do more for the play as Dortmund because Dortmund counts on their counter attacks. This is gone now as most of the clubs know Dortmund’s style of play. Hopefully Bremen has learned from it already.

This can be a clear match for Dortmund as they are the much better side and Bremen getting sure problems with the offensive power from Dortmund. Also they have a very weak record there, Dortmund celebrated the most wins against Bremen, against no team more (27). Moreover Bremen has not such a stability they need to win there or get anything. They need a lot of time more despite their good start. Dortmund walk on. GL       

FC Ingolstadt 04 - Arminia Bielefeld

This evening Round 5 starts with 3 matches and one of these 3 is FC Ingolstadt 04 against Arminia Bielefeld. An important match for home side because they have zero points after 4 Rounds,  therefore they want the first points especially first win today. Of course it would be not an easy one but they are motivated and hot to show some better performances as they did in the past matches. On the other side Arminia started average and have 5 Points so far but they played a good match at St. Pauli where they won 1-0, of course with some luck but they were solid in defensive but showed a lot of weakness in their last match at home.

Despite four loses in a row Coach Kurz is very confident about the match today. Overall he has to be confident because if they lose again it can be that he loses his job after a few weeks again. Same happen at his last station 1899 Hoffenheim. Seems he has not learned a lot about the situation or he is only a bad Coach anyway. After defeats against Aue 1-2 and KSC 0-1 at home a win is very important today. According to their very unlucky 0-1 lose against 1860 Munich Kurz counts on the same starting lineup as there. Also own goal scorer Roger gets a chance as central back again. The only position where is questionable is in offensive. Where young player Hofmann has his chance against 1860 but he could not use it, in this case some alternatives are there anyway. With Eigler and Lappe some options are possible. But Kurz was not such a friend from Eigler in the past therefore some expect him on the bench again. Really strange because he is captain of the team.

 Newcomer Arminia started average but they got their points so far. Maybe one of their advantages is that they play almost with the same eleven they did in 3.Bundesliga already. They know each other and they are well balanced and this is their big plus at the moment. Otherwise they are on a light downtrend as they were not such solid in their defensive play as they showed to beginning of the season. For this match not many changes expected, only Patrick Schönefeld can be in the starting lineup as he scored already the equalizer last weekend. He replaces Müller who has some problems after his injury to get back to his level from beginning of the season. Also Lorenz was not in shape at least but starts again on the wing. One of the wide open position is where stands in goal. After promotion hero Platins got injured Ortega played for him and he made a good job so far but Coach Krämer mentioned that Platins has some bonus from last season. Therefore it would be very interesting which one is in starting lineup today.  

Union Berlin - Fortuna Düsseldorf

This is the last match of Round 4 when Union Berlin hosts Fortuna Düsseldorf on monday evening. Both started average into the season but both are named as promotion contenders before the season. Whether they belong to this group will show up in the next few weeks. Both want to enter their second victory in order to look up in the table. The Loser, however, stays in the lower half of the table and have to invest a lot to close the gap to the top but of course it can change quickly to beginning of the season again. The trend speaks more for Union, they lost vs. Bochum 1-2 but got a draw at Bielefeld and showed their best performance with the win in Dresden 3-1. Exactly the opposite way from Düsseldorf who won to beginning 1-0 against Cottbus, collected a draw in Cologne and lost very unlucky 1-2 to 1860 Munich but continued their downtrend.

Union Coach Neuhaus would most like to field the same eleven who was absolutely strong against Dresden but he has to wait if Özbeck is ready as he suffer some back problems and could not practice so far. This would be a bog blow because he build up a very strong duo with Kreilach in central midfield. Nevertheless Neuhaus counts on the same tactic 4-2-3-1 what worked very well if Özbeck can play or not. If all is ok and the same lineup plays but if not some changes can be that Parensen move into the middle beside Kreilach while Kohlmann comes into the starting lineup as back wing. The offense would be the same with alone striker Nemec and Mattuschka behind him in midfield with all options.

Despite the lose against 1860 Munich no changes expected in the lineup from Fortuna Düsseldorf. They played really well and put a lot of pressure on 1860 but they were not able to finish their good opportunities they create. Sooner or later they must start to score if they want to win matches apart their dominance they had in home matches but away it is different as they not known for a solid away team in the past. Because of new signing Hoffer is not allowed to play today, Benschop is the lone striker again. Behind him convinced Kenia as playmaker but he has some fitness deficit and should work on it to reach the best level he needs. Next problem for Coach Büskens is that injured Latka needs one week more for his return into the squad and therefore he has to count on Bomheuer and Levels again but most of the fans was very angry about Levels and run their displeasure on him. All his team mates were very shocked about the behavior of the fans. In spite of Coach Büskens is very confident about the experienced player and he trust him to 100% again and gave some advice for the fans.

Borussia Dortmund - Eintracht Braunschweig

The black yellow started well into the season and they showed some good combinations, good pressing and awesome finishing. It was not only Dortmund who played because the first 30 minutes was more Augsburg who was very aggressive and allowed Dortmund nothing. So Dortmund came hard into the match but after the first goal they were the team who dominate and created some good opportunities and scored as well above all new striker Aubameyang was the man of the day with his 3 goals. Overall a good performance from Dortmund where Coach Klopp counts almost all players from last season, only Aubameyang was on the right wing instead of Kuba. All the other positions were taken from keeper Langerak (Weidenfeller was suspended), defensive Schmelzer, Hummels, Subotic and Großkreutz, defensive midfield Sahin and Bender, offensive Gündogan while Reus and Aubameyang played on the wings and Lewandowski up front. This lineup changes today as with Gündogan is one of the important players out with injury. This can be that the new man from Donezk Micki gives his debut on the offensive midfield position but he was out for weeks now and maybe Klopp does not want to risk much and therefore Reus plays offensive and Kuba comes in as wing. Also Weidenfeller is back in goal, all the others maybe the same as mentioned above from Augsburg match.

After long time Eintracht Braunschweig is back in 1.Bundesliga and they started good into the season although they lost their first match more as unlucky against Werder Bremen because they were the better side and they invested much more as Bremen. In second half they open more and was close to take the lead but they could not finish their actions. Overall solid play by a team who plays only against relegation, more is not expected from them. Maybe this was a bit lack of experience that they lost 0-1 with a late goal and also not to finish some of their good chances. But nevertheless they have to look forward and continue their work. Surely they are huge underdog against Dortmund and it can be that they are a bit nervous in front of 80.000 supporters who make a lot of noise. Coach Lieberknecht counts of course on a defensive tactic against the giant from Dortmund. This can be 4-3-2-1 with 3 defensive midfield players that they give not many space away in their half and build up a big wall what can be a good choice. They want to hold as long as they can a draw and maybe make Dortmund a bit nervous. Hopefully they can. Kumbela is not available due to his injury and he is not ready yet.

Ok it can be so clear but the match must be played and we see a big defensive wall from Braunschweig today and Dortmund needs some ideas to crack them. They have to play with fast combinations if they want to come through but if they take the lead what happen sooner or later it can be done. I do not expect that Braunschweig can hurt Dortmund here. Of course the last matches were all won from Braunschweig, these were all in Cup but nevertheless at normal days a clear home win.

Dynamo Dresden - FSV Frankfurt

The atmosphere is not very good in Dresden because they are on a bottom place and they do not want to have the same problems as last season. So they must get back on track and this immediately today. Otherwise it looks like that Coach Pacult is the one who will be sucked. After 3 matches without a win and a lot of trouble in the summer break about him it can be his last chance maybe this sunday. The performances were not the best in the past and so the pressure against FSV Frankfurt is very high now. Of course the fans are behind the team and they push them all the match but they are already against the Coach a bit. Not an easy match as FSV coming from their first win and it seems that they are playing better together now after some problems in pre matches with injuries and a lot of new players while also some left the club. 

Overall the squad or starting lineup is not the same as last match against Union where the performances was awful. Gueye who saw the red card against Union is suspended here and Pacult must bring a new player for him, this can be new signing Schulz who gets his starting debut. Very strained are all around who the offense lineup would be. Some want that they play 4-4-2 instead of only one striker with Pote who has not scored in his last 17 matches. So they need to play with two strikers above all at home where they are in a must win situation now, so Dedic can be an option here and they should try it. Both played 2011/12 together and scored incredible 25 goals for Dresden, maybe some remember and maybe Coach Pacult. If both are in starting lineup the offensive position from Fiel is gone and he move back in central midfield while Menz is out of the team. But not enough with all the problems, as Coach Pacult gave an interview and he said that he is not very pleased that some from the press or around the club say in which lineup he has to play. Some play with the fire there now, I think he does the opposite they want and this give a lot of trouble :))

FSV travelled to Dresden with good mood because they got the first win and this was important for their self confidence and the upcoming matches. So they have a lot of motivation now and the team working better and better together and they know that they are able to have some success again. Till Tim Heubach the whole squad is available and gives Möhlmann a lot of options for today. Zafar Yelen is back in training but he is not yet by 100%, he said that he is on a good way but he needs 3-4 weeks more to be on top level. Both Albania national players returned healthy that Coach Möhlmann can count on the same starting lineup as last weekend.  

1860 München - FC Ingolstadt 04

The bavarian derby between 1860 and FCI with different signs.  Home side started well into the season with 2 wins from 3 matches and they are close to the top but they have to continue their winning way although their performance was very very weak in the last match. Nevertheless the points are there and no one ask how they won these but in the past years they had a lot of problems above all if they could reach the top places or should win to close the gap to the other teams they failed. This can be a thing they have to learn or do better as in the past and they are in the race from beginning on. The situation is clear, normally as with Ingolstadt they meet a team who have won nothing so far and also got not a single point. The statistic is also on their side because Ingolstadt could not win in 8 matches against 1860. Despite all Ingolstadt has a good team but they were even not able to put it on the pitch so far.

The management and coaches saw it very positive that they won 2-1 in Düsseldorf even their performance was awful because Top Teams win matches if they play good or bad the only thing was count is win and this was the case. Despite the bad performance what Schmidt saw he has a lot to improve above all their offensive play was bad and they created less and also their opening play was not the best. Seems a lot of work what they have done this week to get better prepared for the derby. Some changes maybe come as the training give some sign about. Yannick Stark is set to play on central position as he did in the past and he played well anyway but his partner Wannenwetsch was to weak and he is out of the starting lineup while wing Adlung move to the middle and plays beside Stark. This can be dangerous too because he is more a wing and gives with fast actions a lot of options and can create some. This is only because normal central player Stahl is still injured. For Adlung can play Tomasov on the wing who scored the winning goal in Düsseldorf and convinced his coach. Also in offensive gets Lauth a new partner with Hain instead of Wood. The defensive row was solid despite a lot of opportunities they gave away but the pressure from Düsseldorf was huge and therefore acceptable what they played there.

After three loses in a row FC Ingolstadt looks like a relegation candidate but they have a very good squad with a lot of good players but they were not able to play as team together and also score less what is one of the key points but the other is the defensive play. It looks like they come to a head or they have it already. Coach Kurz clam down and he does not change all what was good in preparation weeks for the season. He counts on what they have study and trained and also on the players he has available. Danny da Costa is back from suspension and he plays immediately while Morales move into the middle and plays on central midfield position beside Cohen. The place in midfield lost Pascal Groß who is out of the starting lineup. No other changes expected but one man makes some advertising in 2nd team from Ingolstadt who plays in Regional League Bavaria. Philipp Hofmann scored 6 goals in the past matches and was one of the man who lead this team to the top although he is very young but he showed his strength already in Paderborn last season. He can be an option for the offensive today. If Hofmann is in the team it can be some change in offensive where Caiuby or Korkmaz lose his place.
