VfL Wolfsburg - 1899 Hoffenheim

One of the biggest contender for Bayern Munich to win the title was VfL Wolfsburg before the Season starts but the reality is much different after a few Rounds are played now. The last Season second placed team from Wolfsburg has already 12 Points to the top (leader Bayern Munich) and they are really playing not very good at the moment. The lose from the top stars de Bryne and Peresic short before the transfer window close was a big bow for them although they signed with Draxler and Kruse replacements. Nevertheless both have not showed their quality until now and also some other players like Schürrle running behind their form maybe. They have a lot to improve in all parts of their team. The next big problem can be the “Diesel gate” from VW who is their main Sponsor who support them with a lot of money but after this issue they have to reduce all their activities in Sponsoring because of huge costs 2016 to repair all cars. This means less money for the team, Coach and Manager to work with and also a step back for them. They were planning to be one of the rivals from Bayern Munich in the coming years but this is gone to this reason now. They are doing their job of course but without the big investments they made lately they are not competitive to the top teams anymore.

At home they are normally much stronger as on the road and they should be able to beat bottom team 1899 Hoffenheim although they had some problems with this opponent in recent years. They concede in almost all games but up front were they able to score some and with this offense it is a must for them to finish some creative actions.

The team from 1899 Hoffenheim comes to Wolfsburg with bad results out of the first 8 Rounds. They are doing not so well as last Season and if you remember they had a very hard Season two years ago. It looks like this can happen this Season again according to the situation at the moment. Or maybe it is the result of losing the best offensive player with Firmino and additional some of their players running behind their form. The next problem they may have is that Coach Gisdol never managed to bring some compactness in their play and of course in their defensive work. They are always good to concede goals and seldom keep a clean sheet. All are more offensive minded and do not count much on defensive what allow their opponents a lot of attempts and additional easy goals. After having some problems in offensive to begin of the Season they are on a better way right now and the creativity is back in their play what allowing them to create some good opportunities again. Coach Gisdol changes the offensive line a bit and with Vargas and Volland they have found the guys up front now which are able to be very dangerous with their quickness. Therefore they are more prepared to play away from home where they can count on fast counter attacks what allow them more to overcome an open opponent and give them more possibility to win.   

I am very pleased with the over here. Both teams have a lot of potential in their offensive lines what allow usto put up this advice. Wolfsburg scored in all their games against 1899 Hoffenheim at least 1 goal while Hoffenheim showed some improvement away form home. Wolfsburg is unbeaten at home in 26 matches (19-7-0) and after collecting only 1 Point form the last games they are in a situation to come out and fire from all guns. The next optimistic Point is the goal average from almost 4 per game (3,90 average) if this two sides meet each other.

1.FC Nürnberg - FSV Frankfurt

After 7 Points out of 3 matches was the 2-3 against RB Leipzig before the national break a big disaster for Nürnberg. But nevertheless they showed big moral there because they had to come from behind 0-3 after receiving a red card in the first minutes but in the end they were not able to turn  around this match and lost 2-3. Although they lost this match the self confidence should be high as they were very close to equalize in the end. The team from Frankfurt FSV coming to Nürnberg with a 0-4 home defeat in bag which was not calculate but they looked very weak in this game. Despite the weak performance they had a lot of time to talk and train what may give them some of their form back and they should remember last Season where they could win both games against Nürnberg.

Nürnberg's Coach wants back on track today and he has studied the opponent very well over the last week what should help his team to find the right game plan. First of all they want to be compact in defensive and midfield and allow not too much but up front they looking to be as creative and dangerous as they can. What tactic he exactly choose is still open and also on what personal he counts as well. The only thing he mentioned was that veteran Schäfer stands in goal again after having some problems with a lot of keeper mistakes if Ratkovski or Kirschbaum. He needs experience on this position and this is maybe the right Point for him with Schäfer. The defensive line must be changes according to the red card from Margreitter. The logical replacement should be Bulthuis what was the case in former matches anyway but it looks like that youngster Erras gets a chance beside Hovland. A bit risky maybe but Coach Weiler is not a fan from Bulthuis and this guy should be sold in the summer break already but the problems in defensive let them think a bit different. Very important is that back wing Sepsi can play after he has broken his nose. He plays with a special mask and try to help the team today.

The team from Frankfurt FSV wants to return on the better side of live after losing both last games with 0-6 goals. For this Coach Oral wants to see a team who fight for each other and they want to be a hungry and difficult opponent for Nürnberg today. They had a lot of good results lately but they have to bring all their effort on the pitch otherwise they are not much able to win matches. Additional he was very pleased with the trainings week and preparation to this game and is very optimistic for a positive outcome.
Some changes are very possible because with Konrad and Oumari they miss two important players suspended. The first replacement is maybe Ballas who should build the central back with Gugganig while in central midfield can Kruska be the first alternative. More changes are possible according to the weak performance to Heidenheim. Therefore Epstein is a candidate to move into the startling lineup after his injury, he can begin on the back wing or offensive wing with his power. Haji Safi and Engels are expected on bench after very weak play lately. For Engels can play Barry at the right midfield if Oral choose this option. All the other parts remain unchanged according to less alternatives maybe.

Fortuna Düsseldorf - Arminia Bielefeld

The home side has collected only 6 Points and stand before an important game but this can be a very tricky one because Bielefeld is one of 4 teams who had lost only 1 of their 10 matches. But they played to often draw and therefore not much advantage for them according to the results they got. Despite the results they are on a good way, their main goal is to avoid relegation anyway while Düsseldorf give out a new season goal with reaching 40 Points and stay away from relegation battle under the week.

Fortuna Coach Kramer stands under huge pressure before the match today, he needs results otherwise he is very close to be fired. Nevertheless he is very positive for todays game and he mentioned that he has a lot of respect but he wants to win with his team and break the unbeaten away run from Bielefeld. He counts on a good organized and well balanced team which should be able to find the right solutions in all the actions on the pitch.

Compared to the match before the break he plans a lot of changes. Both wings can be field with quick players like Bolly and Sararer, both should help to get some faster actions created. Above all Bolly is their main hope after returning from injury. In the middle may play Demirbay who should support Ya Konan or Pohjanpalo or maybe both. The defensive line is very open right now. Of course keeper Rensing and defender Haggui are sure to start, beside Haggui are all positions open. According to the absent from Bellinghausen they need a new back wing, Holthaus and Schmitz are candidates there although Schmitz can play in central midfield as well. On the right back wing could Schauerte not convince much in the past what let Akpoguma hope for a starting place. In central back had Strohdiek not the best arguments recently what brings Bodzek back into the lineup. He had some very good friendly matches and showed his Coach that he is the better alternative there. Before the defensive line they have with Koch, Sobotta, Schmitz and Fink a lot to choose.

It is the return from former Düsseldorf Coach Meier, he had a great time there with a lot of success but this is gone as he mentioned. His main focus is Arminia now and he wants the best possible outcome for his team. It is not an easy match for his team and he said that the situation is worse in Düsseldorf at the moment and no one has expected so a bad start for Fortuna. The squad is one of the best in the league and therefore they should be warned.

The starting lineup can be a bit different compared to the game against 1860 Munich 1-1 before the national break. Sure not available are Brinkmann and Müller, both face injuries while Salger, Hemlein, Schütz, Junglas and Burmeister are doubtful what means they face a late test if they can play or not. On Thursday it looks like that Junglas and Burmeister are not ready. If all the others are ready it may can be that Salger plays on his main position in central back, Schütz returns then on the position before the defensive line beside Behrendt after his absent against 1860. Hemlein of course begins on the offensive wing, he was one of the most active players against 1860 and gave the assist for Klos’s goal. On the other wing Coach Meier is still searching for the right player, Mast played against 1860 there but was substitute at half time already and Affane took over. He is maybe the player who will be trust from Meier.

Both teams had successful friendly matches in the national break and showed that they are on good shape. Düsseldorf could beat Standard Lüttich 3-2 what should them give some self confidence and motivation back. The offensive play was much better compared to lastest games what give them a lot of hope today additionaly. On the other side could Bielefeld bring their offensive motor rolling with scoring 10 goals against a lower division team, above all Klos with 5 and Nöthe with 2 goals showed their killer instinct. 

I am absolutely sure that Düsseldorf is not going the third match without scoring a single goal the offensive play improved in the break while Bielefeld is a team who is very overish away from home. They like to play on the road and scored a lot lately but conceded as well. The counter style is their preferred game and we can expect a few goals then.

SV Sandhausen - 1.FC Kaiserslautern

Although this derby has not the biggest history it is a very hot one anyway. Both towns are only 100km away from each other and in this case a lot of supporters from Kaiserslautern are expected. The support was always great in recent years but it is not so easy to play there what the result showed. In all 3 games there, Kaiserslautern could not win one and it was always a big fight. The atmosphere should be great and fun for the players to play in front of 10 or 12k (small stadium). Both teams with 15 Points can with a win get contact to the top three above all Kaiserslautern is looking to get closer after two wins under new Coach Fünfstück but Sandhausen could convince with two wins before the break too.

A lot of actual players from Sandhausen have a recent past with Kaiserslautern. But not only the players also Coach Schwartz were active there if as player or as Coach from some youth teams and the U23. He is very happy to see his old friends again today but he does not want to present any gift for them and expect a really hard fight from both.

It is not far away that not many changes must be done by Schwartz after the great 3-1 win in Hamburg to St. Pauli. But one time they have to change because defender Hübner is suspended for today but the first replacement Olajengbesi is injured too. Therefore Schwartz field Kister beside Schulz in central back and hope that he counts on the right duo. Very open is if Wooten and Paqarada start after his national trips but both returned fit and they should not miss the quality of both. Also open is the attacking position where Jovanovic had a great run lately but Bouhaddouz is ready after his injury worries and showed already some minutes against Pauli that he is in good shape again. It was one of the key players to begin of the Season and according his good form Sandhausen played great and scored a lot.

This is the third match for new Coach Fünfstück and it can be the most difficult one. Against former opponents they played they got a lot of space and were very successfully with counter attacks but this time they have to be active and control the game. Under former Coach Runjaic the main focus was ball possession but under Fünfstück they like more fast breaks what brought much more success. Nevertheless Fünfstück said that they worked on this for two weeks and they are ready for this now.

Despite the different opponent it is not expected that Fünfstück changes his two times successful starting lineup. He may counts on the same lineup but make some tactical changes. It is needed according to more ball possession they get in this game but they must find the balance to play very fast as the space is less. It can be a tricky game against a well organized opponent and they must be patient and wait for their opportunities. Not ready to help is Ring who returned injured from his national team Finland.

We can expect a very close derby match, Sandhausen is a hard fighting team which play very balanced and organized and allowing not much but with their fast offensive players they can create some good attempts. This is a game exactly made for them where the main focus is defensive work and fast breaks. On the other side Kaiserslautern face a team where they had a lot problems with in the past above all they must be active what they are not against more offensive minded teams from Bochum and Düsseldorf. They have to change their style of play back to known old Runjaic one but it is not the preferred one and they failed often with it. I have to try Sandhausen with the HC on our side.

2.BL Teams Friendlies

FSV Mainz 05 – FSV Frankfurt 1-1

The team from Frankfurt had the better start and Dedic scored the opner in minute 20. while Beister could equalize only 9 minutes later what was the end result.

Werder Bremen – RB Leipzig 3-0

The struggling BL team from Bremen controlled the game very well and was the absolute better side against a B-eleven from Leipzig. Bartels, Lorenzen and Manneh scored for Werder.

MSV Duisburg – Bor. M’Gladbach 0-0

It was a good game from MSV who started with their best available eleven against one of the best BL teams 2015 which starting lineup was not such bad. But Duisburg deserved the draw in the game because they were able to play much better as lately.

Wacker Innsbruck – 1860 München 1-3

It was a deserved win for 1860 by Möhlmann’s frist match as Head Coach on the sideline. They dominated the second league team from Austria where Liendl, Simon and Mvibudulu could bring them on the scoreboard.

SC Verl – SC Paderborn 1-3

It was a derby because both sides are not far from each other and after Coach Gellhaus was fired Müller was the man on the sideline who saw some good actions from his team with goals from Vucinovic, Brasnic and Stöger.

MSV Duisburg - SC Paderborn

Very interesting match between both bottom teams would end up Round 10 in 2.Bundesliga. The home side stands under huge pressure they have to win if they do not want to lose the contact to the safe zone. With only 2 Points out of the first 9 matches they are at the bottom of the table. Their opponent today with Paderborn has managed 7 Points so far but they are not very pleased with and with a win they can close to gap to the midfield what should be their main aim today.

It is a do or die game for Duisburg’s Coach Lettieri what puts a lot of pressure on him additionally. Of course it is not the best to work but he wants to take the challenge and talking very positive about the game against Paderborn. He said that both teams are on even level at the moment and they are very close to get the first win. Why not against Paderborn?

The staff aspect is very bad and they have to replace a lot of players again. With Bomheuer and Hajri they have to more injured players compared to last game in Berlin. But also good news because with Feltscher and Holland returning two players from suspension. Moreover should Dausch play in midfield and not as man behind the lone attacker. More options are Klotz and Grote for the offensive wings but Scheidhauer made his job well and was one of the better MSV player against Union. Up front in attack we may can expect the two guys who scored in Berlin. They did their noise and made some noise and advertising for a starting place today. Both Obinna and Onuegbu are physical very strong and can help with their power.

Although Gellhaus mentioned that Duisburg has lost some games very unfortunate they can not be sure that the win is to get very easy here. Nevertheless they want to win this one and celebrate with the second away win before the national break. With this they can close the gap to midfield places.

With what players he wants to do the job is very open right now. With veteran Kirch they miss an important midfield player who has played a key position in midfield for Paderborn. The second one is striker Lakic who was send off against St. Pauli one week ago and is suspended. Third one is Bickel but he was not available against St. Pauli already. Because of the performance against St. Pauli which was not outstanding but more good as weak are not many changes expected. Instead of Kirch is Wydra the first replacement who was substitute last week already. On the wing they have with Koc one man in back but with Ouali and Vucinovic maybe start the same on the wing as last match.

Bayer Leverkusen - FC Augsburg

Both teams were active under the week in Champions League and Euro League so no one has an advantage here. Although Leverkusen played two days earlier and maybe had the time to recover and become fresh while Augsburg had the game against Partizan Belgrad on Thursday what allowed them not much time to recover and also to train because they main focus was to get all players ready for this encounter.

It was never so close for Leverkusen to get something in Barcelona. They took the lead in the opening half but failed to extend with some good attempts above all Chicarito missed the 2-0 and maybe the winner. In the end they had some problems with freshness and power what allowed Barca with two good actions to win the game. It was nothing special was Barca played but Bayer was not able to use the big opportunity there. Nevertheless are back to normal business today and with Augsburg they face a team who has a lot of trouble this Season. According to Leverkufen's form form the last games it is a must that they win against such opponents. They can not allow to drop more Points against smaller opponents like in the past to Darmstadt 0-1. All of them know that they have to take this match very serious and should not allow to much in defensive. The offensive is always good for some actions what speak for their creating power. If Coach Schmidt rotates a bit it should be not the problem at all what we have seen in Bremen where they showed a really good match with some changes. They have a lot of good players in offensive with Bellarabi, Mehmedi, Calhanoglu, Brandt, Kampl, Kießling and Chicarito. 

We had so many surprises in Bundesliga, teams with less budget played an excellent Season and got and European Spot in the end. If Alemannia Aachen, Eintracht Frankfurt, FSV Mainz 05 and SC Freiburg all were qualified and the next Season was one of the most difficult one because all these small teams are not able to handle this with their small squad. The international matches cost a lot of energy additional and they miss this power in domestic league and also have not the head free for such games. All are focused on these international games and forget the real important things their daily and main work in the league. Of course Augsburg is not weaker as last Season but they had even an incredible run and this is very hard to repeat anyway. They have to work harder for their Points now and all the teams are going to take them serious compared to last Season. Also some injury problems of some key or out of form players make it not much easier. Nevertheless the work is excellent from Weinzierl but overall they made to many mistakes in their defensive work or offensive play. Their performances are not all bad but they are to harmless in front of the goal as all statistical numbers showed. Maybe they need some calming influence of a central midfield player who can give the team more stability and keep the ball in their rows. Some of these mates can be Baier or maybe Trochowski but both have to do a lot with itself. The form is not there right now and therefore they can not help the team.

After an EL game it is always very hard to recover and the rest was less compared to the opponent. Of course Leverkusen has to travel to Barcelona and played a hard game there but they have two days more to prepare for this encounter. This can be a huge advantage against a small team who does not know this intensive stress. Additional they have to travel to Leverkusen for this encounter what is additional stress. If all these things are considered it can be only one winner here, the much better players are on Leverkusen’s side, the form as well and of course the freshness.

Bayern München - Borussia Dortmund

This is the most awaited match of the Season when Bayern hosts Dortmund today. Both coming into this match unbeaten and they are also in good shape recently. The title should be decided between these two because all the other teams are to unstable right now and have a big gap already.

The team from Munich is very hard to beat in their Stadium and have a very good record to “Octoberfest” time. They are unbeaten since years at this time and showed always a very good and productive play. Although they miss some of their big guns lately they have a very good squad available and can replace almost all very even compared to last Season. With Costa and Coman they signed two players who can make the difference if Ribery or Robben is not available. Both showed the skills already and Coach Guardiola is very pleased with them. The style of play is the same as last Seasons under him with a lot of ball possession and a very high and aggressive pressing against the ball. The outcome is very good with winning all matches in all competitions so far. With a clean sheet they are coming to this encounter and additional excellent wins and performances in bag.

After having a lot of problems last Season Dortmund is back in business, and with new Coach Tuchel on an excellent way right now. They started really well into the Season and had a lot of wins in a row after drawing twice in a row to 1899 Hoffenheim and SV Darmstadt. With both draws they lost the leading position to Bayern Munich and they are already 4 Points behind them now. This was not what they expect after so a good start and also their good form. These draws are unexpected but they have the chance to bounce back today. Some of the players have a much better level as last Season under former Coach Klopp. This allowed Tuchel to forward his style of play with a lot of ball possession and also fast breaks to overcome deep standing opponents very easy. They rested some players in EL on Thursday with Sokrates, Hummels, Kagawa, Gündogan and Aubameyang to have them fit for this important match today.  

Very close game expected but with the style of both teams it is also a good chance for goals here. Bayern Munich defending always very high and with balls behind their defensive line they are getting always problems. With all the fast players from Dortmund can this be a very good reason to use this above all absolute in form Aubameyang is a really weapon then. He scored in all his BL starts this Season what is a new record and they hope this day too. But on the other side is Dortmund having some problems in defensive as well what brings Munich’s offensive in good positons with former Dortmund player Lewandowski who is on fire lately. Both are scoring and the third and maybe fourth is coming then anyway.

Eintracht Braunschweig - Union Berlin

Both teams talked before the Season that they want to be under the top 6 but the situation is a bit different at the moment. Of course Braunschweig is with 14 Points one of the teams who is close to the top but they have a lot to improve above all at home where they can not convince recently. The last home game with 0-1 to Fürth was a big disaster for them after having a really good run. They may have to start a new streak if they want to close the gap to the top. On the other side has their opponent much more problems. The team from Berlin has already changed their Coach but the problems are still their and the performances are to average additionally. With the 3-2 win in bag they come to Braunschweig with some self confidence what let them hope to continue the winning run.

After last game Braunschweig has a huge problem in defensive today. Coach Lieberknecht has to replace 2 of the 3 in the back. The game to Fürth was not in their favor and also not their best defensive wise. First was Correia out due to injury worries and he is a big doubt now, the second one Decarli is out for sure after he was send off with yellow red card after undisciplined action against Gjasula. Therefore he has to search for two new players who can play his system in defensive line. It is very open what system he wants to use, he mentioned that this is very open right now and they can play with a 3 men defending back or maybe a 4 men line. But nevertheless they are able to bring a strong lineup on the pitch and Coach Lieberknecht believes that his team is ready for the second win at home. If both players are out, the defending line can be build with Baffo and Matuschyk in central back while Dogan returns from the second team on bench as back up for both if anything happened with them. Instead of Matyschuk can play Pfitzner in central midfield then. The offensive must also be changed a bit above all if they strength the defensive part they can play with two strikers maybe. But also there they have a big blow with the miss from top striker Berggreen who has a shoulder injury. Both Hvilsom and Ademi maybe gets a chance today to show that they are more as only substitute in Braunschweig. Also on the right wing he has a lot of options with Hochscheidt, Ofosu Ayeh, Khelifi who can be an alternative to weak Omladic who was in the starting lineup against Fürth.

After two defeats Union was able to beat bottom side Duisburg 3-2. They were already up 3-0 to half time but got in danger in second half because Trimmel missed the decider with a penalty which would have been the 4-1. Coach Lewandowski was not very pleased with his team and he wants to see the next step and also more quality in their play. This is the only solution to collect Points in the future.
Maybe he would be very happy to get a lucky Point in Braunschweig today according to his huge problems in defensive. They have with Schönheim, Leistner and Parensen 3 defenders out injured and also in central back tested Fürstner is a big doubt too. For this reason Lewandowski is thinking to play only the defensive line with 3 mens. This means that two back wings plays there and one central defender. The guys who should be take this part are Trimmel, Puncec and Kessel. Before the line in central midfield is Zejnullahu possible but also Fürstner can be an option if he can play. Both other players Daube and Kreilach are ready to create some offensive actions while they can strength their offensive with one man more if they play only with 3 in the back. In this case Korte can be a good choice here on the wing while Skrzybski plays on the other side. The attacker duo can be Brandy and Wood.

Hannover 96 - Werder Bremen

When both north clubs Hannover and Bremen face each other today we can expect a very hard fight according to both actual form. Hannover was never in form this Season while Bremen had a good start but showed a lot of weakness lately. It would be very interesting which team get back on track or showed an up trend for the upcoming matches now.

The home fortress from recent years is past, this was one of the key factor for Hannover’s success and basis to go through the Season without problems. Time has changes above all from last Season on where they were very close to be relegated but Coach Frontzeck managed the last and important Points with his team in the end. He got the trust for this Season again after his excellent work to the end of last Season. But he has to work with a team who has not the strength for “Bundesliga” above all after important key player Stindl left to Gladbach. Also some other players left and none of them were replaced even therefore they have not the quality right now. The team is very scary and insecure at the moment and Coach Frontzeck has a lot to do to give them the self confidence they need. The play from them was more as harmless until now and they showed only good style of play if they play against better teams like Dortmund 2-4, Leverkusen 0-1 and Wolfsburg 1-1. If they play teams a bit above them or teams with the same level they have a lot of problems. This is according to their less creative offensive players, only Kiyotake is the man who can lead the offensive and he was not available some time, the last two matches he showed good form but also problems if he gets tackled as against Stuttgart. If a team allows him not much space it is done with Hannover. At home they are winless and they were not able to collect a single Point and conceded already 8 goals in 3 games. They have a lot of problems if they must to be active and control the game above all at home if they must what speaks against them to Bremen again.

Hannover’s opponent Bremen may have the same problems if they have to play at home but away from home they did a great job so far. They are much more dangerous and create much more due to more space they get. The team from Coach Skripnik is much more balanced although they had some problems in the past. Above all losing to both newcomer Ingolstadt and Darmstadt and also some periods of the game against Leverkusen make the Coach very angry. He wants to see a much more professional attitude and warned his players. But in these matches was clear seen that they are not a team who can be active and play with ball possession like Bayern Munich or Borussia Dortmund. They are more a team who like the fast breaks which were excellent to 1899 Hoffenheim. This is more the style of play from Bremen. Additional the young team maybe has to learn from match to match and they are not such strong as expected maybe. The potential is there of course above all the performances from some matches showed this already what let them hope to get the team back on track for the upcoming matches and the future.

To sum up we have two teams which are in an insecure position where both defensive lines allowing a lot. Both are not the safest anyway if Lukimya on Bremen’s side or Marcelo on Hannover’s side we have in each team player who are good for mistakes. This leads normally to goals and according to both they need results. Hannover is still winless and at the bottom right now while Bremen has not won the last three but have collected already 7 Points. We expect some goals here above all if the first goal come it can lead to a very open game with a lot of space for each team and the opportunity is getting higher to see some more.

Greuther Fürth - VfL Bochum

This match has a clear trend when Fürth hosts Bochum today. The home team has a great run and is absolutely in form right now while Bochum was on great run to begin but failed to win one of the last 4. Fürth was celebrating 4 wins in a row lately and is really on fire and aiming for their 5th of course. On the other side Bochum had 5 wins to begin but in the following matches they were not as clinical as they were to begin. The former leaders Bochum could fall down with a lose to place 4 and out of the promotion tier.

It is not surprising that in Fürth talk all from a momentum and they know that other times arrive there sooner or later. At the moment they are riding on a wave of euphoria and they want to be on this as long as they can of course. But they have some good players in hand which can handle this lose maybe. In midfield gets Weilandt the place from Stiepermann who is not the worst one and he can make the difference in any game with his fast moves and good actions. In attack they have with Kumbela a very experienced player who replace Berisha. Despite his average form lately he should help the team. Also not available is Trinks due to illness.

Bochum travelled to Fürth as second placed team at the moment and they hope that they can turn things around in this top clash against 4th placed Fürth. But they know that all is possible in this close league and if they not able to bring all their power on the pitch it would be hard to win matches. They want the maximum here and therefore they are very focused and have a lot to play for anyway.
Compared to the last game Coach Verbeek does not think to make many changes. He is more a Coach who counts on a clear starting lineup only if anyone is not available or ready he changes. Also he is anyway very calming person with a lot of experience and he knows exactly what to do. He wants to send the same starting lineup on the pitch which lost to Kaiserslautern one week ago. The only change is the return from Petrel on the left back wing instead of Wijnaldum. He trusts his team, also average playing defender Cacutalua who replace injured Bastians at the moment but showed some weakness against Kaiserslautern. On bench he has some good replacements ready with Simunek and Weis, both returned from injury and maybe need still time to be at 100% but Eisfeld and Mlapa makes some pressure on the other guys.

1.FC Kaiserslautern - Fortuna Düsseldorf

After winning 2-1 to Bochum Fünfstück has a very good start as new Coach from Kaiserslautern. He turned things around and they are looking forward to his first match on home soil against average Düsseldorf. This team was expected much better this Season but after 9 matches they have only 6 Points and stand on Place 16. Nevertheless they can look on a very good record if they play on “Betzenberg” lately. Of course this should be continued if they do not want to bring their Coach Kramer more in danger as many talk very negative about him right now.

His first match on home soil is a difficult one and he expects an opponent who is very aggressive and fight for every meter. He knows this situation very well, above all after last away game when they came to Bochum in a very bad situation. This time coming Düsseldorf to them with the same situation and this opponents are always the most dangerous one.

Compared to the last game he said that he has almost all players ready. This means they are only without Fomitschow, Jacob and Schulze. The doubtful Zimmer and Przybylko expected to be ready for the game against Fortuna. It is not far away if they play the same style and also same formation 4-4-2 which was very good in last game and much better as some formations under former Coach Runjaic. Of course they have to confirm this but it looks like that Fünfstück has found the right way with the players who are there. Also the new in starting lineup standing players Colak and Gaus were part of the success in Bochum. They get the next chance to remain in starting lineup and maybe make some self advertising for the upcoming matches.

Before the team travelled to Kaiserslautern, Coach Kramer gave an interview where he mentions that he believes in his team and a good result on “Betzenberg”. They want to be as compact as they can, fight until the end and run like hell. They have to hurt FCK and try to bring them in danger. A big blow is the injury from Bellinghausen who was former Kaiserslautern player and has all the quality for such a game who is absolutely needed. Therefore he has to replace him but how it is very open. The first option can be that Holthaus plays the part from Bellinghausen and he has to change only position to position. The second one is more expensive with Schmitz moving from the middle to left back wing while Sobottka and Fink can play in the middle then. The more experience speaks for Fink and this is absolutely needed in a hot atmosphere there. On the left wing returns Schauerte after his illness and absent against Sandhausen. Also very open are both wings, Bolly is still injured and no option there anyway, Sararer is doubtful for today and Bebou could not convince lately. Eintracht Braunschweig - Greuther Fürth

Top clash between Eintracht Braunschweig and Greuther Fürth in 2.Bundesliga, to round up the ninth match day. This can be a very interesting one as both teams are absolutely in form at the moment after facing some problems to begin of the Season. Both are behind the top 3 with actual 14 Points but of course are able to close the gap with a win to one Point. Braunschweig is coming from an excellent run where they collected 13 from 15 possible Points and a goal difference from 16-0 from the last 5 matches what pushed them up to the top. But nevertheless their opponent today arrives with 3 wins in a row and 4 unbeaten matches. According to this we can see a match between these two sides who have a lot of self confidence and motivation.

Braunschweig’s Coach has a lot of respect but he said that the only target they have is to get 3 Points today. He is very pleased what Fürth is playing at the moment and they have to be warned about the strength. Therefore he expects an interesting game between two in form teams what would be a huge challenge for his team as well.

Compared to the last game to MSV Duisburg 5-0 on wednesday what was not such clear as the result showed he has no reason to change anything from starting lineup. It was only due to one man more on the field what allowed them to overcome MSV very easy in the end. The team look much more balanced as to begin of the Season and they maybe has found the right starting lineup who chimed together now. Most of the positions are assigned exactly 9 and both doubtful parts were the wings where Zuck and Ofosu Ayeh could convince recently that Coach Lieberknecht has no arguments to change again there. Although midfield player Schönfeld showed a good performance after he came in against Duisburg but is big doubt due to slight injury today. Also keeper Gikiewicz faces some problems but should be ready to play.

The trend is very positive from Fürth but Coach Ruthenbeck is not very happy according to their defensive play lately. They have to improve in this part and maybe be much more clever to be as compact as they can. With the offensive play he is very convinced because they are very dangerous and have a lot of good idea and are creative enough to create a lot of good opportunities.

For the starting lineup he has a lot of options and he has to make some hard decisions maybe. Although he can count on the winning team again, who beat Paderborn 3-0 under last week. But nevertheless changes can be possible as well.

The defensive part should remain unchanged but in central midfield is Hofmann an alternative and he can replace Sukalo against offensive minded Braunschweig. But also both can start to get more compactness against the home side which should try to make some pressure. The system much be changed from 4-1-4-1 to a more defensive minded 4-2-3-1.  For the two places on the wing are fighting Freis, Weilandt and Stiepermann. Last one was rested against Paderborn and can be an option here again. In attack hopes Kumbela to start against his former club Braunschweig although he is not in best moment right now and Berisha has the much better form what speaks for him again because against Paderborn got Kumbela the priority.

SC Freiburg - FSV Frankfurt

Although Freiburg played two times draw in a row against Bielefeld 2-2 and Leipzig 1-1 they are able to jump on top with a win today. This is only due to the good results from the opponents this weekend. This can be an additional boost for them and the young team are doing very well and no one has expected that they work so good together from beginning on. But with FSV Frankfurt they face an in form team who managed to win 4 of their last 5 matches what is very positive for them. These are all Points against relegation and they are thinking nothing else. Of course they will be very happy if they get the next Point or Points in Freiburg anyway.

Therefore Freiburg's Coach Streich is warning already from FSV, they are in a very good moment and has a lot of euphoria at the moment what is very dangerous for them today. They have to be very concentrated and absolutely focused on the 90. minutes today. It can be a very hard task to beat this team from FSV, maybe the same as against Bielefeld.
Not many changes expected as the alternatives are less with Kübler, Möller Daehli, Grifo and Föhrenback they miss some again. Also Torrejon has some muscle problems and is a big doubt again. But nevertheless both central defender with Höhn and Kempf are ready, both did a great job lately. In offensive he has with Hufnagel a very good weapon in back who maybe can start today. This player is very hot at the moment and has a lot of self confidence after his goal against Bielefeld.

FSV Coach Oral mentioned some critic in home game to Union with their own supporters but this is gone and he is absolutely focused on this game now. He is very pleased with his team at the moment although the 3-2 win under the week against Union was a bit lucky, maybe a draw should have been deserved for both. He believes that they have a chance in Freiburg too and they are able to get something there. He mentioned that the team from Freiburg is offensive minded and if they can hold the pressure away from the defensive line and manage some counter attacks they can be successfully. But of course they need an excellent day and have to be as compact as they can. If all the other successful matches they like to play offensive minded teams as they can not control a game, they have not the players for this and therefore the counter style is their way for success.
Compared to the last game is captain Konrad slight injured, they hope all that he can play what means that the defensive line and central midfield remain the same. In offensive they may make some changes to bring in some freshness. Also they need fast and quick wings and strikers for their play today. With Dedic they have one who was only on bench last game, also winning goal scorer Schahin can be an option while Kapplani must on bench because he is more a box player. On the wing Barry should start again while on the other wing Engels can replace disappointing Safi.

1860 München - RB Leipzig

It is as always in Munich, if they do not have success they spoke a lot above all for a candidate to replace actual Coach Fröhling. Maybe this can be his last match if he manage not the first win with 1860 this Season. It is not always very easy for the players too to bring their best performance with all the rumors there. The match is not an easy one for them because it arrives one of the biggest promotion candidate with RB Leipzig at least they want to be and do the job. If they reach the goal is not sure yet. They are doing not so well and with only 13 Points they are a big behind the top what allow them not any gifts today. They have to win this one against a bottom team nothing more, nothing less. But if they remember them to last Season they managed a 3-0 win here what maybe give them some boost and motivation additionally.

1860 Coach does not talk about himself and he puts the focus totally on the match and the opponent today. He has some in mind how they can play and maybe overcome the giant. Nevertheless they have to invest a lot to be successfully in the end. Some changes are maybe possible compared to the last game in Sandhausen 1-1-. Bülow is sure out due to injury and he should be replaced form Rodnei who plays beside Schindler in central back. Also Schindler is slight injured but he wants to play. Some good news are coming from their injury list, attacker Okotie returns into the squad but should be on bench first. The next big problem for Fröhling is Liendl, the new player who came from Düsseldorf is not very pleased with his situation as he was on bench at least. He talked a lot with the media and was very angry about Fröhling and did not understand this. Maybe Fröhling gives him a change to begin again and let him show his skills but he has to deliver then. With Liendl in starting lineup it is possible that Vollmann plays in attack.

After only two 1-1 draws to Heidenheim and Freiburg Coach Rangnick is a bit under pressure not to lose the contact to the top. He has to win this game with his team today otherwise they have to go a long and hard way back if they reach the top and maybe the expected target in the end. On press conference said Rangnick that he was very pleased how his team is playing at the moment the only thing what was not so well is in front of the goal. They created a lot of good opportunities but missed almost all and this was the key for only 2 Points in the last two games. Even they have to work harder for their luck and success now.
It is not impossible that Leipzig comes with a different starting lineup compared to the last game. They had less time to recover as the match was on Thursday but the squad is very big and should not be a big problem to find the right replacements in some parts of the team. Sure not in squad are Boyd and Nukan who war both injured while Poulsen is ready after his illness some days ago. Maybe they play with 4-2-2-2 as practiced to begin of the Season with two attackers. The alternatives are there, Teigl for Ilsanker or Klostermann in central back. Midfield are Khedira and Kalmar options and in attack Quaschner. It is all about Rangnick how he decides but he mentioned not much about the starting lineup.

Hamburger SV - FC Schalke 04

We know that this is late but if someone prefer to bet on this game we advice you to take Hamburger SV. Of course both are in good shape and both are not conceding much in the last matches, maybe a low scoring game too. But Hamburger SV AHC 0 should be the best choice here. From 47 matches could Schalke win only 11 in Hamburg, also Coach Labbadia has a very good record against S04 and he did not lose the last games with Schalke. Also they are unbeaten at home since he took over as Head Coach. All in a all a perfect situation for Hamburg not to lose here. We believe in the BL dino who maybe found the right balance this Season and they are doing much better. Of course Schalke is always dangerous with their fast players but this time I trust HSV.
