FC Ingolstadt 04 - SV Darmstadt 98

Statistic:

Both promoted teams face each other in Bundesliga the first time today and it would be a very interesting game. Of course both are not the biggest teams who can overcome an opponent very easy but they fight very hard for success and the outcome was very positive so far. Both are very pleased with the Season so far but if you take a look back to other newcomers which are really promotion candidates like Greuther Fürth and Paderborn recently all played a strong first half and in second half they have capitulate. For this reason we have to wait what happen in 2016 with both teams.

The team from Coach Hasenhüttl is doing well but only on the road, they have really big problems if they have to play at home and to control the game against an opponent who stands deep and try to go for counter attacks. And even if the opponent team takes the lead it is getting more worse for them to turn the match into their favor. At home they have to be the more active team and Hasenhüttl has to find the right balance between offensive and defensive. The team looks well balanced and strong but what count is to score goals and this was the case only 2 times at home against Eintracht Frankfurt 2-0. All the other matches they scored nothing, against Dortmund 0-4, Hamburg 0-1, Hertha 0-1 and Wolfsburg 0-0. Of course all these teams said that it was very hard and difficult to play in Ingolstadt but in the end they could get the Points. But if you compare all the matches from last Seasons it is not far away, they always had this problems. It is only up to their strong defensive that they got promoted. It is not sure if Hasenhüttl wants to make some changes according to the last 0-0 draw in Gladbach where they showed a good match. Former Darmstadt player Bregerie plays in central midfield but only because Roger was injured, he is back for the match today. Let's see what the Coach decides here, if he changes. In attack they have to replace Leckie who saw is fifth yellow card against Gladbach and is suspended here. For him is Lex a candidate in offensive but he returns shortly from injury.

It is almost the same for Darmstadt, they did much better on the road and could collect more Points there as at home. It is clear that these teams have not the weapons to make and control the game. Their style is more pressing high and try to get the ball to overcome the opponents with their fast wings. They manage to be unbeaten until the game in Stuttgart where they lost 0-2 in the end but were very close to take here something above all if they have finished some of their good attacks. With 2-2-1 and 6-5 goals they did really well on the road and they are absolutely hard to play. With opponents like Dortmund 2-2, Leverkusen 1-0 won, Augsburg 2-0 won, Schalke 1-1 they had not the easiest one and they showed that they are able to compete with these strong teams. The mood and attitude is great in these team and they fight all together for their dream.
Key for them is the strong defensive while up front they can always score with the fast wings like Heller, Rausch while Rosenthal plays more a second striker. Up front plays Wagner but he is suspended here what gives promotion hero Stroh-Engel a chance to start here. All the other positions remain unchanged.

Both teams have almost the same style of play, and both love to play more on the road where they can do what they can. In home games have both a lot of problems and the style of play is more different to away. In this case it is nor far away that we can see a very close game with a lot of fight and additional less goals. This means if one of the teams can take the lead it is almost the winner here. Both could surprise the league with their excellent own way although some of the big teams do not like such a defensive wall. All in all we expect a big fight and why not finish with a draw between both newcomers where both can be happy and life with.

SC Freiburg - SC Paderborn

After a good start from new Coach Effenberg Paderborn had played only two times draw lately. This is not what Coach Effenberg likes and because he is a winner and this must be imported to his players. They must show a different character and be more positive and thing that they win whatever in what situation they are. This is almost a must because the teams behind them are coming closer and closer and it is not far away that they slide down into danger zone. The situation can be maybe very good because Freiburg is in some crisis now and they could not win in the last three. The 1-1 draw to bottom team Duisburg was not much helpful too before the national break.

The team from Freiburg has a lot of problems above all in their defensive. The whole Season they face a lot injuries there and players which are not available a long time. This is seen in their defensive play very well because with 18 goals conceded in 14 matches it is clear that this is not like a top team. The next problem is that Günter got injured two weeks ago and is not ready but the replacement for him are less. They have to put up a player who never played before this position on the back wing maybe. The only one Föhrenbach has played this position in youth but he has no experience on this level. The next Torrejon was always injured or suspended and Coach Streich did not count much on him then. The match praxis is not the best right now. The next one Frantz is a midfield player but not a back wing but he played in Duisburg on the right back wing, it is not far away that Streich move him to the left now. For the open place on the right returns Mujzda who got a break against Duisburg.  For all the problems in defensive, they have one of the best offensive lines and they can count on them in almost every game. With Grifo they have a real good playmaker in their rows also for free kicks he is the man. On the wing with Philipp and up front with Petersen they have a congenial trio.

The national break was very welcome in Paderborn above all Coach Effenberg was very pleased about the break. He has time to study a lot of new things with his team and maybe some new styles of play too. They worked a lot on tactic and other things they mean it was worth to talk and to improve. Before the break they do not have the time for that but now it was there and they used it. In all the games with Effenberg (2-2-0) they were far better as under their former Coach. Nevertheless they have to walk on and try to get Points immediately to get out of the bottom zone. The main work was on offensive which was not what Effenberg likes or want to see. He said that they have improved under him but they wasted to much and they must be more clinical in front of the goal in the future. If they had used all their big opportunities they never had played draw to Heidenheim and FSV.
One of the players who improved a lot under Effenberg is Koc, he was close to sign a contract at Hamburg for HSV but Paderborn said no. This was maybe a little bit a knock out for him but Effenberg gave him the trust and believe in him what the performances showed recently. All the players have a lot of self confidence and this is all up to Effenberg, he wants to see confident players who believe in their strength. Therefore Saglik said in an interview: It would be hard for Freiburg to beat us. All players are ready and it looks like that the same lineup from game against Heidenheim starts.

Eintracht Frankfurt - Bayer Leverkusen

Both teams running a bit out of form lately. Ok, Frankfurt is unbeaten since 3 matches now but they were only able to win one of them. The better statistic they have in their stadium with losing only one of the last 16 BL games. On the other side Leverkusen is doing really hard at the moment and they lost all their last 3 matches. On the road they have even more problems with winning only 1 out of 5 (1-1-3). 

The team from Frankfurt could collect 14 Points so far and they are 4 Points ahead of the drop zone. After the good game against Cologne 6-2 where top striker Meier was returning from long injury time and scored immediately some goals, the hope for better weeks were all around there but they were not able to hold the good play and form from this game. The upcoming matches were almost all a big disappointment and Coach Veh was searching for some solutions to bring more compactness and stability in their game. It was not so easy for him to change his team from an offensive minded side to a more defensive thinking one. But he worked hard on the defensive line what was seen really well after the matches against Gladbach 1-6 at home. They are on a 3 matches unbeaten streak, with the win in Hannover 2-1 and two goalless draws 0-0 to Bayern Munich (really great success) and 0-0 in Hoffenheim where they was really close to win. The defense is working but they have to improve also the offensive play now. Coach Veh must find the right balance between all the parts to get his team prepared to win matches again. With Seferovic they miss an important offensive guy suspended, this can be the chance for Castagnios who was on bench lately, having some problems after his good start into the Season.

After losing the important derby against rival Cologne it is a lot of trouble in Leverkusen. In the middle of the problems stands Coach Schmitt who is not able to give his team a better style of play and have not real a Plan B. If Plan A is not working they can not change anything in the game and also his rotation in starting lineup is not the best lately. He has not found the right balance between defensive and offensive so far what the statistic shows. They conceded already 16 goals in 12 matches what is too much for a team which wants to play for an international spot. Up front they have also a lot of problems because most of the players running behind their form at the moment. If the top offensive players Bellarabi, Brandt, Mehmedi, Calhanoglu and Kampl have not their best day it is hard to win matches. Some of them are absolutely out of form and if Bellarabi and Kampl getting problems too it would be really hard in the future for them. With only 14 goals scored they have to improve also in this part. In all the last matches they were not able to get more stability in their game. Of course it was very fantastic to watch this matches with a lot of entertainment but the outcome was less for them and this is the exact Point which count. Coach Schmitt stands under some pressure in the upcoming matches, if he can not give his team the right solutions on hand and the most important thing to get results it looks like that he will be face very hard times in Leverkusen.

We are very pleased with this encounter, Frankfurt very strong home side face a really unstable team from Leverkusen right now. We see a lot of potential for Eintracht here to get at least a Point. Very important for them can be if they can control the fast offensive players from Bayer, if they can be ahead of these guys they are really able to win. The home statistic speaks for Eintracht additional because Leverkusen could only win 10 from 30 matches there. This encounter includes goals as well, in all their 60 meetings between these two sides it was never a goalless draw.

Arminia Bielefeld - RB Leipzig

Today's opponent is not the easiest one for Bielefeld but maybe this is the chance that they get more space in offensive and also underestimated because they are running behind their first win at home this Season. RB Leipzig is the team which has found his form and they are even with the other two teams on top. Both teams want to show some reaction. Bielefeld want the first home win while Leipzig want to get back on track after losing to Kaiserslautern to begin of November.

The team from Bielefeld Arminia is very hard to play and they are fighting until the end. They lost not many matches but they did not win many too. They have played to often draw and this is exactly the result what helps not much, they need Points to get more contact to the midfield and not the the bottom teams. In all their home matches they showed a great attitude and lost only one time and this was to Braunschweig. According to the last Season's home strength where they have build up a fortress there they are far away this Season. Maybe if they get the first win they managed the turnaround. All in all they score to less goals and this is maybe one of the key factors. Although on the road they were able to score some more goals already. It's all about the space they get and this is not much at home but this time against a top team they get it for sure. Coach Meier has some more options available above all Müller is very important for a fast offensive play and he showed in a friendly game already that he can help the team after his injury.

Both offensive players Selke and Forsberg returned with good self confidence after getting good results with their national teams. But it is anyway no changes in offensive expected where Rangnick counts on both talents. The most problems they had in the past was in defensive and this part can be changes maybe. With Orban they had a important guy out last game but he returns this time into central back. For this reason Sebastian sit on bench again today. Also Klostermann plays on the wing again and put Gibson out of the starting lineup. But Rangnick said already that the defeat to Kaiserslautern was not alone the defensive line, it was more less motivation and action. If they give not 100% in a game in 2.Bundesliga it is hard to win because this league is so close. Some less percent and you are the loser of the weekend.

VfL Bochum - Union Berlin

Before the national break Bochum lost the contact to the top ranks according to a 4 games winless run. They were not able to win a single game although they were up 2-0 at half time against FSV and also were the better side in some other matches. With only 1 Point out of the last 4 they need the turnaround immediately. Their opponent Union showed some uptrend lately but could not hold a 3-1 lead against Nürnberg 3-3 what was a big disappointment for them again.

All in and around the club has no answer why they are on such a huge downtrend after winning all the first five matches and showing really great potential and strength. Coach Verbeek said that he has no explanation because the attitude is excellent from his players. They are working very hard and pushing all the time in training but can not transport it into the game. Also some of them mentioned that the luck is not on their side as well. At the break they tried to get some self confidence with a friendly game against Cologne’s U23 team 4-1. Most of the substitute got a chance in this game and bring them into a better position for the upcoming matches.

But none of them could bring Coach Verbeek to think about of a starting place today. Compared to the 0-3 defeat in Karlsruhe he wants to change twice. Both Haberer instead of Mlapa and Terrazzino instead of Eisfeld returns into starting lineup. The last matches with Union were all not their way and for this reason they should not take a look back but rather forward for better times. The last win against Union is from 2012 4-2 in their stadium.

Despite 4 Points out of the last 2 matches Union is facing relegation fight at the moment. Their captain tried to wake up his team with some statements. All thinking that they never can be relegated because they have a much higher quality and level as other teams but if the results are not their way the situation is getting more worse and put them under huge pressure additionally. Although they had some good approach against Heidenheim 2-0 and Nürnberg 3-3 the mood is not the best after a 3-1 lead. The team misses a player who lead them, walk ahead and give them some sign. With new captain Kessel returns maybe a player who can take this role.

Of course Kessel returns into the starting lineup while Trimmel has a place on bench then. More changes are not expected, Lewandowski counts on his successful team from the last two matches. If striker Wood returns tired from national match with USA he may is on bench and Brandy replace him in the starting lineup today.

FC St. Pauli - Fortuna Düsseldorf

The club from Hamburg showed that they are able to compete with the top Teams, they beat Freiburg and Leipzig already and was very close to win against Bochum one week ago too. Despite their good performances and good form right now Coach Lienen was warning his team from bottom team Düsseldorf. The squad from Düsseldorf is excellent and maybe one of the best in League but they have some problems right now but should not be underestimated.

Compared to the last match in Bochum Lienen trust his starting lineup again, maybe only one changes must be made as Kalla had some problems this week and could not train much. This means that Maier who had some problems in the past are moving into the starting lineup as he is fit now. Additional Lienen gets more options as with Gonther returns already an option for the central back and got some minutes against Bochum already while midfield player Alushi should return after the national break. Gonther is no option from beginning on anyway because with Sobiech and Ziereis Lienen is very pleased and his defensive line is very strong and hard to beat anyway.

Fortuna got some hope back in relegation battle, could they win 2 of their last 3 matches and also in Leipzig 1-2 they were not without any chance. The biggest problem is that they got the victories at home and away from home they had always problems in the past. With only 3 Points collected out of 7 matches, no win, it is hard to be positive and get out with a lot of self confidence. Also they should not take a look back to last in Hamburg where they got trashed with 4-0 from St. Pauli. Moreover they expect a very hot atmosphere where all in the stadium are against them. Keeper Rensing said that this is motivation enough for him and his team mates should accept this additional and get out some positive power for the game.

Coach Kramer wants to field the same lineup which got the win against Fürth but important fighter Bellinghausen is a doubt at the moment. If he must pass, two options are possible to replace him. First one is a big move in team, Schauerte move from the right to the left back wing while central midfield player Koch takes the postion on the right back wing. Bodzek move from central back forward into the midfield while Madlung comes new in the starting lineup and plays in central back. The second one is only a position to position change with Schmitz but he was not in the squad recently.

The team from Hamburg St. Pauli has managed a big turnaround. They were in relegation battle last Season and move into a real promotion candidate at the moment. Coach Lienen has done great work so far. He counts on a very compact and clever playing team. The defensive work is excellent and they are very hard to beat and to play too. At home they are very strong and with their excellent supporters in back they are always able to find some way to win matches. Düsseldorf on the other side have a lot of problems this Season although they have a very good squad. Coach Kramer has not found the right mix so far also the balance between offensive and defensive is not the best. In offensive they do really hard and they score very less. The offensive play must be improved if they want to win matches on the road.

Borussia Dortmund - FC Schalke 04

- In all their latest 18 league games, Dortmund was able to score at least 1 goal.

- Schalke lost 5 of their last 8 BL road games, the other 3 were won to nil.

A very hot derby is expected but the supporters form Schalke are stay away and they demonstrate here. Therefore it is open if the tickets which get back from Schalke are sold or this part of the stadium will remain free and in if it would be not sold out. But this is not the things we want to discuss anyway. Both teams are EL starters and both teams have the same conditions for today. Dortmund is running very hot at the moment and they are firing form all guns. The offensive is working excellent and they can look forward to bring a lot of pressure on the defensive line form Schalke. The only problem is the miss from Reus again after he got injured in EL games on Thursday.
The team from Coach Breitenreiter is getting more and more problems right now. They have not the success they had to begin of the Season recently. It is all a bit slow and they can not convince. The offensive player Choupo Mouting and Huntelaar running behind their form, only Sane is doing great but the youngster can not decide all the games. The offensive is very weak at the moment what the last games showed. In central midfield they have to replace creative player Geis what should be a miss here anyway. Overall they should have problems in this derby but you never know what happen above all in these important games for both.


FC Augsburg - Werder Bremen

Statistic:
- Augsburg lost only 2 of their 8 matches with Werder Bremen.
- Only against Stuttgart and Hamburg they collected more wins (5) as against Bremen (4).
- In their own Stadium they never lost a BL game to Bremen (3-1-0).
- Augsburg has a huge negative run with 6 winless matches in a row and only 2 Points collected.
- In this period they conceded almost an average from 3 goals.
- Bremen's defensive is working much better on the road with only 6 conceded beside 12 at home.
- Also they are much successfully on the road in scoring, with 8 of their 11 goals scored on the road.
- No other teams got so less Points out from the last 7 games like Augsburg and Bremen.

This match is a tricky one. Both teams are under huge pressure according to the actual table situation of both. Both are sitting at the bottom of the table and need every Point right now above all home side Augsburg need the win urgently to close the gap to the teams above and get some confidence back. Of course they showed an uptrend lately but they played a lot of matches recently. This is exactly what they have to handle now, with heavy legs into the next important game. The energy they invested on Thursday was big and maybe this is not available for the BL game. It is all up to them if they can bring an even performance on the pitch or not.
On the other side Bremen is doing much better on the road, they are much more dangerous there. What speak a lot for Bremen here. Both teams having problems if they must be the active part in a game, both like more to sit back and come over their counter attacks. For this reason Bremen is well rested, could prepare the whole week for this encounter and should have an advantage here.

RB Leipzig - 1.FC Kaiserslautern

It would be a very tricky game for Kaiserslautern against Leipzig above all in their actual form. It faces two teams each other with different form anyway. Kaiserslautern is on the way down after they had some hope with new Coach Fünfstück but this is gone after the last defeats and on the other side Leipzig is running hot at the moment and coming from win to win what pushed them up to the top. It was not only the good results from Leipzig lately, the rivals lost all Points and with a win today they can expand the lead and let them look forward very relaxed.

In Leipzig they are not very pleased with the suspension from former FCK player Orban, for this reason Coach Rangnick has to chance his central back what is not the best as they had a lot of problems last Season with the duo Sebastian and Compper. Both had always some mistakes in their play and allowed easy goals. This is not the best variant and preferred one anyway. They have with Nukan one in back but he has to do with some injuries in the past and is no option right now. The next one can be Klostermann but he is not really a central back player but he is out anyway. He got injured in Sandhausen last weekend. Instead of Klostermann comes youngster Gipson into the starting lineup and he should replace him. It looks like that the defensive part face some problems while in offensive they got some good news with the return of Forsberg after illness. He should be in starting lineup immediately for Bruno.

A lot of trouble in Kaiserslautern, in all parts they have problems. With Runjaic and Schupp must left two already and the next who has hard times at the moment is Kuntz. It is not out if he must go too but the rumors are there and are not very helpful for the team anyway. Of course they talk a lot and they are saying that this is not their problem, they have to look on their performance. Maybe it is very good that they come to Leipzig and no one expect anything form them right now above all Coach Fünfstück said they are coming as really outsider to Leipzig what takes a lot of pressure away from them. They can only win there and give their fans some back which was lost in the last games.
Almost all players were out of form lately, they have to improve a lot if they want to compete with Leipzig today. All their key players like Halfar, Löwe, Karl and so on are far from their best form and can not help the team right now. In this case Coach Fünfstück decides to changes some positions for this important encounter. For the suspended central back Heuback is Mockenhaupt in the starting lineup and in offensive starts Colak instead of Gaus. Also Piossek is out and Jenssen can take his part in midfield then. Very open is if central midfield player Karl can play or not, if he must pass Ziegler is the option there.

Bayern München - VfB Stuttgart

Statistic:

Bayern’s power is too big and with a lot ball possession they are trying to get the opponent tired what allow them to get more space and they are very clinical anyway.

The start from Stuttgart was not what they have expected and also not after the big euphoria after signing Zorniger as new Coach. They had a lot of hope in the new style of play, a much more offensive one what should bring them the results who was not there in recent Season. But it was maybe a bit to offensive, of course they were able to be the better team in a lot of their matches but in the end they created a lot but could not finish much of their good opportunities. Additional the defensive work was not the best and they were very open and gave a lot of space to the opponents who could score easy goals. With some mistakes they are forcing to concede goals too. With one of the youngish central back they have always problems because these two guys have to learn from match to match. For this reason mistakes are always possible. Also some of their key players like Gentner was injured what was a big lose and hard to replace for them. Up front they miss with Ginczek and Harnik two important players at the moment. In this case Zorniger has to replace Harnik too now who got injured against Darmstadt last week. Away from home they played very open and conceded always a lot while the offensive are doing their job very good too but could not score as much as they concede. 

If we compare both teams, this is a clear thing at the moment. The form and self confidence is absolutely on Bayern Munich side and they coming out and want to have fun and score some goal. Whoever stands on the pitch, they have on all positions even replacements and they showed it already several times this Season that it is not a problem at all for them. At home they are additional stronger and against a team who has a very young and unexperienced central back it is not far away that they overcome them easy today.

The only hope in Nürnberg is to win, because they are winless in their last 5 matches. Ok, they lost only 1 of these but with 4 draws they can not make bit steps. They want to climb up in table and for this reason they must win if they do not want to remain in boring midfield of the table. The Cup game against Düsseldorf showed that they are able to bring a good performance on the pitch but they have to confirm this week to week, nothing more, nothing lese. Union celebrated a surprise win against strong home side from Heidenheim last weekend. This give them a bit hope to get out of the trouble at the bottom.

It was a positive sign what former captain Kreilach showed. He was the man against Heidenheim with his leading goal and assist to the second one. Maybe the pressure as captain was a bit to much for him and he was really relaxed and motivated in this game compared to other games before. The captain and leader of the team is Kessel now but he saw his fifth yellow card and is suspended today, for this reason Thiel is the captain today. Kessel must be replaced of course, for him can play Trimmel on the back wing. He should be huge motivated anyway, because he was not in starting lineup the last 3 games but he wants to use the opportunity he gets today again. One of the best Scorer Brandy was also not in starting lineup lately and he sits on bench again. Coach Lewandowski hopes for a positive sign from Brandy if he comes in and hope that he can help the team with his experience then. Brandy said that he has no problem to be on bench now but sooner he wants to be back on the pitch from beginning on. This time he is very proud of his team and they deserved to start all again after winning the last game.

The aim from Nürnberg was more to play for the top and have a good Season where they have the chance to return into 1.Bundesliga but it is as last Season already. They have more problems with themselves and their play as with the opponents. Most of the time they are playing really good but exactly at the right moment they make wrong decisions what allow them not to win more matches. On Monday they were the clear better side against KSC, scored maybe a clear goal but was disallowed, if they have the luck in these situations the match can go their way and they can play much more relaxed and the feeling for the right decisions coming back to them. It is all hard work and they have to work harder for the success as other teams at the moment. Compared to the last games is the squad the same as Coach Weiler mentioned. Only Kerk maybe returns into squad after injury but he should be no option right now. Some changes are expected, with Blum he brings maybe a new and fresh striker into the starting lineup who was on bench the last games but showed some good things lately. The statistic is very positive for Nürnberg against Union who could win all last 4 games, 4-0 and 3-1 last Season what makes Weiler promising to win against his lovely opponent.

Both teams have some problems, both are not the strongest in their defensive work, therefore we can expect goals in this encounter which was there in all the last games. Union at home in their "Alte Försterei" are always pushing because of the great fans while Nürnberg had much better games away from home when they can come over they fast wings like Burgstaller, Schöpf, Füllkrug. After 5 Points out of the last 3 matches FSV is climbing up and with a win they can overcome today’s opponent from Sandhausen. The team from Coach Schwartz has some problems right now and they are coming to Frankfurt with two defeats in bag. Therefore the momentum is more on the home side here.

 

The team from FSV is doing very well the last weeks and also they have a big moral in their team. They have to come from behind in almost all matches but they had the power to equalized late in Nürnberg 1-1, turn a 0-2 against Bochum in a 3-2 win and equalized late again to Paderborn 1-1 last Friday. This team has a great attitude and they are fighting till the end and they were rewarded but they had also a lot of luck too. Normally it is no need to change anything but with Oumari returns the defense chief after suspension and he should be in the starting lineup with his experience what Coach Oral mentioned in an interview already.

In this case one of the youngsters Gugganig or Ballas is out of the starting lineup and sits on bench. Overall both did a great job and it is very open who must give the position free. Most of the experts expect Ballas but Coach Oral does not mention anything right now. On the wing it is more as open if Halimi starts this time after making a lot of self advertising in the last matches. He can play instead of Huber who had not the best moments lately. Also they get much more offensive power with the quick Halimi who has excellent moves in his play for one against one. Perdedaj can plays on the back wing then but he is also a much more offensive minded player what means that this wing is more open. In attack they play with Dedic while Kapllani comes from bench and should help to bring some offensive power in the end if needed.

 

Sandhausen’s Coach analyzed FSV very well and he saw that this team has a lot of power in the end of a game but in first half they had a lot of problems recently and they concede always there. So if they want to have a chance they must be able to take the lead early and hope that they can expand it if they can get a lot of space in second half. The stats speaks a lot for Sandhausen in first half because they are one of the best there with already 12 goals scored while FSV conceded 10 in this period.

The changes in starting lineup are not so much, with Kuhn they have a player ready who has a lot of problems to begin in Sandhausen but playing very good lately and seems to be a real strengthening. He should be in team for injured Kosecki what he did against Leipzig with a strong performance already. The motivation should be huge as he signed a new contract under the week. The other positions remain the same as against Leipzig.

 

The match take place in Frankfurt and we had always goals in this encounter and we do not understand the line here from only 2,25. The offensive power from Sandhausen is much higher on away games and they are doing much better according to more space they get and have for their counter attacks while FSV had some problems at home with keep a clean sheet lately. They conceded in first half like hell but in second one they are always able to bring some more power on the pitch and score some. This match can go wide open if the first goal arrive and we see a lot of attempts on goal. The goals will flow here, Sandhausen excellent in first half, FSV in second half and very clinical after minute 85.

Karlsruher SC - VfL Bochum

Since 6 Rounds is Karlsruhe unbeaten and they are aiming for more, for the next win this day against Bochum. On the other side is Bochum coming to Karlsruhe with only 1 Point out of the last 3 matches. Of course they want to stop the negative run, after losing to Leipzig and incredible to FSV Frankfurt they got a Point against rival St. Pauli last weekend.  KSC got also a 0-0 draw in Nürnberg, with a win they can climb up in table while Bochum need a win as well if they do not want to lose the contact to the top. 

 

It was talked a lot this week above all over Manager Todt who has some offer from other clubs but he said that he wants to work on at KSC. This matter is gone now and they have to bring the focus on the important match against Bochum today. They count again on their best part the defensive line which allowed not much and is hard to beat what 3 clean sheets in a row showed. The duo Stoll and Mauersberger is doing a great job and they replaced both injured central backs Gulde and Gordon very well. With the injury of both they had some doubts according the strength of the defensive but this is gone now. Both are on the pitch again and they want continue their great run and good work of course.

In central midfield is Peitz back from suspension and should rotate into the starting lineup for Krebs who did his job against Nürnberg excellent. Some hopes are there for Torres to start from beginning on after replacing weak Barry in Nürnberg at half time. Barry has to do with some illness this week additionally. Torres has some good memories to Bochum because he scored the 1-1 one year ago. Maybe a good sign but the form is not there at the moment and he is running behind. Despite the excellent working defensive, the offensive is doing really hard and if Hoffer does not score they have a lot of problems. Also they need a lot of space for their offensive play because all they players are very quick and need space to bring all their strength on the pitch.

 

The team from Bochum is very happy to play in Karlsruhe today. They have a very good statistic there and they are unbeaten in the last 8 matches with KSC. This is an excellent time to get back on track after having some problems lately. Coach Verbeek was not so unhappy with the Point against Pauli but he said also that the victories will come again. They are working good and with a bit luck they win these matches, what they did not have in Frankfurt two weeks ago. His aim is to win matches and for this he is working hard. With what plan he wants to overcome the great defensive from KSC is more as open.

The midfield duo Hoogland and Losilla (after suspension) should start again although central back Simunek replaced Losilla well and showed a good performance. If he stays in team it is more in central back but both Bastians and Fabian are doing their job well and it is not expected that one of these two much on bench. Therefore Simunek has a place on bench like all the other players Raffael, Eisfeld and Mlapa. The offensive midfield player Eisfeld got a chance against Pauli but he could not convince therefore he is on bench again. For him can play Bulut or maybe Mlapa but last one is a preferred option later in the game.

 

Despite losing the last away game after leading 2-0 we trust Bochum again. They have the weapons and power to get the win in Karlsruhe. The home side is not so balanced, they can count on a great defensive but the offensive is average and do very hard. If Bochum is able to score 1-2 goals it is up to themselves to win this encounter. The last matches there let us hope for a good outcome this time.

Greuther Fürth - Arminia Bielefeld

After the Coup on „Betzenberg“ Arminia is aiming for more and a better position. With a win they can climb up to the upper midfield where Fürth is sitting at the moment. With 10 Points on the road they are much better as at home where they were not able to win a single game. On the other side is Fürth under some pressure after losing 3 of the last 4 matches. For this reason they lost the contact to the top.

After having some good weeks Fürth was called as Top Team but the last weeks showed that they are far from that. They have to improve in almost all parts above all the offensive is very harmless right now. All the offensive players like Zulj, Stiepermann, Berisha and Freis had a really bad day against Düsseldorf last Friday and they should try to raise stakes. If all these are in starting lineup is very open as Coach Ruthenbeck expects a very difficult opponent. The team from Bielefeld is very nasty in every minute and you have not the time to need too long for decisions on the pitch.

One of the alternatives in offense can be Weilandt who can replace weak Zulj maybe. Also in central midfield they must change according to the muscle injury from Sukalo. In this case he uses the same formation he has put up some time with Hofmann and Gjasula. The first one should play more defensive minded while Gjasula should be the active and creative part of both. Of course there can be more changes but it is open due to less alternatives anyway.

Arminia Coach Meier is very happy to play on the road again according to the winless streak at home. Away from home they must not be the active team, they can be more relaxed and allow the opponent to make the active part. This gives them a lot of space for their counter attacks what is the preferred style of them. They are coming to Fürth with a lot of self confidence and motivation as well above all former keeper Hesl said that they want to win there.

He has already 6 clean sheets this Season and he is looking for the next one today. The next one is Nöthe who played in Fürth some years ago. Maybe his former club coming to the right time, to score a goal after long time. He is waiting since 10 matches for a goal and had not the best performances lately. His rivals on this position with Affane and Görlitz are doing also not so well what allows him Coach Meier to remain in starting lineup. It looks like that the same winning team from Kaiserslautern starts today.  

1.FC Nürnberg - Karlsruher SC

The last game takes place in Nürnberg where two traditional teams meet each other which both aim is to return sooner or later into 1.Bundesliga. After some of the teams above failing the chance is there for both to close the gap to the top. Whatever only the Winner can hope for better times, the Loser has to take the focus down to the teams behind. Nevertheless both teams are in good shape and they had good results lately. The home team from Nürnberg is unbeaten since 3 games and hammered Düsseldorf 5-1 in Cup under the week while KSC had already 5 unbeaten matches.

It is clear for Nürnberg’s Coach Weiler that this match is a difficult one but he wants to win this anyway. Moreover they have to win it above all at home. He said that they have won not much but they were not beaten at home anyway. But only wins help them for a better time and atmosphere. 

It is not far away that he counts on the same eleven who managed an excellent performance against Düsseldorf in Cup. He puts Füllkrug and Burgstaller up as attacker and both could convince while Danny Blum was successfully after he came in. Therefore Blum and also Möhwald face hard times with a place on bench. Although both are candidates for the starting lineup they are out at the moment. The standard specialist Möhwald can make the difference in some situations and of course. The defensive part is also changed compared to begin of the Season. At the moment Sepsi plays on the left wing while Leibold makes good games on the offensive wing. Central in midfield plays youngster Erras instead of veteran Polak beside Behrens. Above all the youngster is a very good partner to Behrens and both gave them more stability. In central back it has changed a lot there too. Former starter Hovland was injured some time now and with Bulthuis who is not very popular by Coach Weiler and should have sold to begin of the Season build up the central back with Margreitter now. Both harmonize very well and why should Weiler changes here anything. Maybe he has found the right mix and balance for the starting lineup now.

The team from Karlsruhe comes to Nürnberg with a lot of self confidence, although they know that this match is very difficult according to the home strength from Nürnberg. But Coach Kauczinski is very pleased with his team right now and he believes in them that they are able to get the win there. As always they want to be a hard opponent and fight really hard. They try to be as compact as they can and have some pressure on the opponent players. Most of the away games they defend but have real great weapons up front for counter attacks. Kauczinksi was talking a lot above all that their offensive play has improved recently and they want to walk on.

The 2-0 win to Kaiserslautern was a great step forward for them the team looked very good but this time important central midfield player Peitz is suspended. He can be replaced from Meffert or Krebs, it is not out yet who plays beside Prömel now. The other positions remain unchanged because it is not need to change there. The central back with Stoll and Mauersberger had found each other and played on a good level lately. Therefore the miss from both central defender Gordon and Gulde is not the problem right now. With Thoelke they have an alternative back on bench today.

SC Freiburg - Eintracht Braunschweig

Despite the 0-1 lose in St. Pauli Freiburg is going into this encounter as leader because both Bochum and St. Pauli could not take advantage and overcome Freiburg on Friday. But after the 0-3 defeat against Augsburg at home they have to improve before this game otherwise strong away side Braunschweig is able to hurt the leader. It is also a must for Braunschweig to go for all three Points, if they can manage this they are only 1 Point behind Freiburg and have a really good position after having a lot of problems to begin of the Season. For this it needs to break through the negative run from 19 matches without a win against Freiburg. All the last 7 duels were lost !!!

The Cup game against Augsburg was not the big matter for Streich these days, he was working on this game and to be in good shape because the league is more important as Cup although the money would help them anyway. Of course keeper Schwolow returns and replace Klandt who got some match praxis in Cup and Abrashi should play instead of Schuster who was also in starting lineup for the Cup game. They have with Höfler and Philipp some with slight problems, if both they must looks what they can do but with Schuster and Guede they have some in back which can help immediately. Also doubtful is joker Kleindienst, the others Torrejon, Kübler, Dähli and Hedenstad are all not available due to injury worries.

Eintracht Coach Lieberknecht is talking very well from Freiburg the last days and he knows how difficult this match can be. Maybe they got some self confidence back with the win against Heidenheim and also in Cup but they have to walk on and look to close the gap to the top. He said also that Freiburg is the absolutely favorite today and they must have an excellent day if they want to get here something. They have to invest much more as on other days or other opponents.
Nevertheless he is very positive and believes in his team that they can be a hard opponent who fight a lot for the Points. The squad is looking better compared to last weeks, only Boland is a big miss at the moment because he was in good shape and was key in Lieberknecht's system. The defensive guy Correia has some problems and is a doubt here but all expect him to start. Also it looks like that no changes will be done as the team was very good in Cup and they showed a really good play and were balanced in all parts. Both Omladic and Holtmann can hope to start again today as their Cup performance was good although on unusual positions.
