Arminia Bielefeld - FC St. Pauli

Both teams were already active in 1.Bundesliga and of course it is a dream to return sometimes. The team from Hamburg is very close to half time of the Season because they were third, with a win they can get back on this place. On the other side has Bielefeld managed the first home win for long time, since April exactly and they want more to climb up at the table and open the gap more to the last 3.

On of the key parts in Bielefeld's team is the defense, this part did a great job and conceded only 15 goals in 17 matches what is a good number above all as newcomer. In this category only Braunschweig has with 14 a better defensive. Normally this good stats is like a promotion candidate but they have one big negative thing and this is scoring goals. This is exactly what you need to get Points and this is to harmless from Bielefeld in all the 17 games so far. Maybe some changes in the future but at the moment they are running behind big. With only 15 goals scored they have one of the weakest offensive lines in the league, only bottom side 1860 had 14 before this Round.

Compared to the last game and the first home win Coach Meier does not change much. He counts on the same starting lineup which managed the win against KSC after coming from behind. Maybe Mast is out of the starting lineup due to weak performance in last game and Hemlein should replace him. He showed some good actions after he came in at half time against KSC.

Coach Lienen returns on his former working place, he was two times player from Arminia and also as Coach he worked there already. But he had not success as Coach and 2011 they were relegated. But for all the respect to his old club, he wants to win with St. Pauli and hold the pressure on the other teams above high. After playing long time against relegation last Season they have the change this Season to play for promotion. For this they need wins and this was not always the case lately.

It is no reason to changes anything on his starting lineup above all after winning 2-1 on "Betzenberg" which is a difficult place for every team. Normally you get hardly the Points there but the home strength form FCK is gone these days. He has almost all players available and therefore he can choose from a lot.

Borussia Dortmund - Eintracht Frankfurt

Statistic:

- Dortmund won 40 of their 84 matches with Eintracht Frankfurt (40-16-28).
- Against no other BL team they have such a good record and so much wins.
- Dortmund won 4 of the last 5 duels, only 2014/15 0-2 away.
- At home is BvB very strong and lost only 1 of their last 19 BL games with Frankfurt (14-4-1).
- Frankfurt could not get a Point in the last 3 matches.
- Also they could win only 1 of the last 12 matches, 2-1 in Hannover (1-4-7).

The second Dortmund is playing a great Season so far and at home they are very hard to beat and with all their offensive power almost impossible to stop. In all their 6 home games they scored at least 3 goals or more and conceded only 1, only against Darmstadt 2-2 they lost Points. The only match they scored 3 and conceded 2 was against Schalke but the others are all high scoring victories. At home they are pushed from their excellent fans and if they can take the lead the match is in their way with all their fast players. The space is there and Reus and Aubameyang likes it to overcome the defensive, they are too fast for the most of them. In midfield they can have a small problem today with the injury absent Gündogan who was key in central midfield for them. Coach Tuchel must find an even replacement or changes a bit but with Castro or Micky they have players who can play beside youngster Weigl.

A lot of trouble in Frankfurt because Veh's Eintracht is totally out of form and he was very angry about the last defeat in derby to Darmstadt 0-1. They showed no real spirit in this game and waste with their less opportunities as well. He wants to see a different team today but if this is possible it is more as questionable. The problems are to huge to solve it in one week although the team has a special meeting and they spoke a lot. Also Veh was talking with his team and want to see a reaction. With what players he can bring Eintracht back on track is open. With Russ, Stendera and Zambrano they miss 3 players suspended today. Also Seferovic has problems after last trainings session and is a doubt here. They are very short of options in central back, with Abraham they have only one defender left with experience but he had problems as well in the past but can play. Beside him they field maybe an youngster with Kinsombi. Against such excellent players a problem but what should they do. The next problem is Reinartz who has some hamstring problems and it is not sure if he can start. Additional to all this problems is the harmless play from their offensive. Some of the players are not in the form they need and additional makes the wrong decisions in game. With scoring only 2 in the last 5 matches it shows that with such numbers you can not win matches. They conceded in all their road games, only to Hamburg 0-0 and Hoffenheim 0-0 not but against the power from Dortmund it is really impossible to keep a clean sheet.

1.FC Nürnberg - SC Freiburg

The second half of the Season began with Round 18 this Friday. If we take a look back to begin of the Season we saw an interesting an excellent macht between Freiburg and Nürnberg which Freiburg could win 6-3. It was a great match above all from Freiburg with all their offensive power they showed in this game but also Nürnberg had a lot of problems in defense to this time. Some month later they are almost even because Freiburg was always on top 3 while Nürnberg fight hard to close the gap and they are now really close to the top 3. With a win today they have 30 Points and Freiburg with 35 is only 5 Points ahead. Also the promotion race for Nürnberg can be open very bigly. The home factor can play a big role here too and Nürnberg is unbeaten in all their home starts but against Freiburg they had always some problems if 1.BL or 2.BL.

As mentioned above Nürnberg is in a region they want to be in table and they want more, of course. Coach Weiler has found the right mix and balance in team and his starting lineup. They lost only 1 time since September and this was a big unlucky 2-3 against Leipzig on the road. Also their good run of 3 wins in a row put them back in promotion race but they have to walk on otherwise they lose the contact immediately as the rival Braunschweig has won, the other rival St. Pauli plays on monday.
They want to build on their home fortress with 5-4-0 so far and for this reason Coach Weiler plans no changes and trust the team who could beat Paderborn 2-1 last weekend. And compared to the 3-6 defeat in Freiburg Nürnberg has only 4 players in starting lineup who played at that time there. So it is a different team with much more strength now.

Freiburg got the title "Herbstmeister" and they are on its way back to 1.Bundesliga immediately. Coach Streich and his crew has formed a really great team and they are working very well till now. The only team who could follow them was Freiburg, both are even on top with 35 Points but this match can be a really hard nut today. And just now they miss two important key players with former Nürnberger player Frantz injured and Abrashi suspended. This means they must find the right replacements. Their bench is not so deep that they can choose from a lot but in the past they always find the right solutions.
For Abrashi's place they have with Stanko and Hufnagel two players which can play this part. It may be a decision of Coach Streich who starts. But also some other setting are possible if defender Torrejon plays in central midfield while Hufnagel on the offensive wing for Frantz and in back move Mudjza into the starting lineup. All is possible.

Werder Bremen - 1.FC Köln

This encounter is a very important one for both sides. Above all for Bremen who is only one Point above the red zone what put them almost in a must win situation. Of course with a win they can bring Cologne in danger too because with 20 Points they are not far away from the drop zone. Despite the bad games and awful outcome both had recently they are looking forward for a better future. Both teams are not known as a scoring one and also that they can keep a clean sheet. There are always ways to break through what the last matches really shown.

It is a mess for Bremen above all in their own Stadium, they are not able to get much in front of their crowd. It was a big fortress after Skripnik took over last Season but this is gone this Season. They could not win one of the last 5 home games, no they lost all of these games what is a new negative record for them additional. With winning only 1 of the last 8 home games (last Season included) they have a lot to improve at home. Coach Skripnik has to find the right solution and system for his team to get them back on track and celebrate a win after a long time now. The situation in squad is not the best additional after key midfield player Junuzovic is out for the rest of the year with shoulder injury too. Also some others miss what brings Skripnik in danger to put up a strong starting lineup.

The downtrend from Cologne continues and they should try to stop the negative trend immediately. Coach Stöger is working on it and he looks for some solutions but with a bit of luck they should have won against Augsburg. The play was not such bad but they were not able to use one of their big opportunities. This would be very important to give the match a different way. Nevertheless if they find a way to score it should be possible to get a better outcome. Although they were not able to score much in the last games they are always exerted in their play. Above all they are able to create good opportunites and sooner or later they get rewarded again.

Although both teams are not known as high scoring teams it is a very interesting one and according to the stats it is not impossible to see some goals here. After Bremen has to suffer 5 defeats in a row at home we are really sure that they do not lose again. For a win they have to score some goals what should be possible against Cologne and as Augsburg showed they are vulnerable in defensive. On the other side they could not keep a clean sheet since 18 BL games against Cologne what means for a win they need 2 or more. Of course Cologne has not scored in 7 of their last 8 games but against a shaky defensive like Werder has it is possible to end this run. With Modeste and Zoller, also Osako and Hosiner they have some good offensive guys who can do the job this time.

1899 Hoffenheim - Hannover 96

Statistic:

- 1899 won the last 4 matches with Hannover. Against no other team they have such a run.
- In 7 home matches against Hannover they never lost (5-2-0).
- Only against Schalke they played so often at home and lost none.
- With Hoffenheim (28) and Hannover (27) meet the two weakest BL-Teams 2015 each other.
- 1899 waits since 8 BL games for a win (0-5-3), no other team waits longer.
- Only 14 Points after 15 Rounds - this is the weakest Season since 2002 for Hannover 96.
- They were only one time weaker, 88/89 when they were relegated in the end.

The team form 1899 is on the bottom of the table and they can with a win overcome rival Stuttgart. This can be and should be motivation enough to get the first home win this Season. Above all against an opponent they love to play in recent years. If we take a look on the games at home from Hoffenheim they are not such bad at all in their own Stadium. They lost only to 3 opponents like Bayern, Bremen and Hamburg. But they had also good results like against Dortmund 1-1 or last game where they were very close to get the first home win against Gladbach but they could not hold a 3-1 lead and played only 3-3 in the end. Of course this match suffer a lot on them but the last match against Ingolstadt where they equalized in 96. minute to 1-1 should be boost them for the game against Hannover today. Coach Stevens should find the right balance between offensive and defensive and additional he can count on all his players. Therefore he can choose and find the best possible lineup for today.

Hannover is coming to Hoffenheim with some problems in bag according to their squad. They are also in trouble and not far away from drop zone what makes this match very important for them too. But with a lot of important players not available it is hard for Coach Frontzeck to find the right replacements and also the right tactic against bottom side 1899. With most important midfield player Kiyotake (9 matches / 3 goals) they miss their head in midfield, also with him they got 3 wins, 1 draw and 5 defeats while without him they are 1-1-4. The only win without him they got two weeks ago against newcomer Ingolstadt 4-0 at home. Their last match in Schalke was nothing, only in the end they got some pressure in their actions. Next important one is striker Sobiech (3 goals), Bech (1 goal) and Klaus (1 goal). This means that from their 18 scored goals are 10 already out. Above all Kiyotake and Sobiech are a big miss for them today as mentioned above. It is not the best situation for Coach Frontzeck in front of this important match.

Overall we expect that 1899 can take advantage of the problems form Hannover 96 and celebrate the first home win this time. We mentioned it above that they play not so bad at home but the result was not in their favor. This is the game where they are in a good position and they must use it.

FSV Mainz 05 - VfB Stuttgart

The team from Mainz had a very bad period before they start an unbeaten run since 5 matches where they collect 11 Points out of these matches. This put them in a much better situation as before and Coach Schmitt is very pleased with the play and form of his team. The defensive line is doing much better work as some weeks ago and in central midfield he has a lot to choose as all partners from key player Baumgartlinger did the job. If Frei (injured now), Latza (was suspended last game) or Jairo (played there last game against HSV and scored twice) all has his own style but all were very good and it is very open if he field Latza or Jairo on this position now. The offensive showed also some uptrend above all Malli is back after a long time without any good game, also Muto up front is doing better and better lately.

One of the biggest disappointing team of the Season coming from Stuttgart, VfB seems to be on a good way before the Season and the concept they had with new Coach Zorniger but he was not able to give this team more stability and compactness. Therefore he was sucked and interim Coach Kramny should bring VfB back on track but after two games on the sideline he got not much, only a draw to bottom side Bremen which was an important one. They said that this was the first step now in a better future but with only talking no team has avoid relegation so far. Despite the situation they are absolutely calm and try to do their job. It is an important game for VfB, almost a must win game and a special match for Kramny who plays against his former club. A Point should be to less if they do not want to fall down on the bottom, but it is up to 1899 if. The biggest problem is the shaky defensive with very young players who made a lot of mistakes, in midfield they are not compact enough and up front they are not as clinical as they should be to win matches. They miss an striker, a box player, who can help them. With Ginczek they have their best striker injured and youngster Werner did what he can but he is no real attacker. Also playmaker Didavi must be replaced too. No alternatives are there, so what should they do?

Very important match for both sides, Mainz can climb up until fifth place and overcome Wolfsburg until Saturday at least while Stuttgart has also a lot to play for, with a win they can overcome at least Bremen for one night. Inform Mainz has the much better situation with positive pressure while Stuttgart is in a must win situation and should stand under huge pressure. It is not sure if the young team can handle this. In today’s West-Derby meet two teams each other which are the weakest in the last 5 Rounds. With VfL Bochum winless since 7 matches and Paderborn since 6 could only Heidenheim collect less Points in this period. For this reason it is not expected that this will be a festival of good football, it should be hard work and fight too. Both want to end their run and in this case a close match should be ahead.

At the moment Coach Verbeek can work without any fear that he lose his job but according to the long winless streak he should try to win this match otherwise the situation can turn against him immediately. Nevertheless all in club are very pleased with the work from him so far and want continue to work with him but only results count in this business. The last win was on Round 10 with 5-0 against Fürth and since then it was only a huge downtrend from Bochum.

One of the biggest problems additional in club is the intern suspension from keeper Luthe who has a very good relationship with the fans. Also for this reason Coach Verbeek needs results otherwise the arguments for him are less also from fan side. For him Riemann who came from Sandhausen stands in goal for the last three matches this year. In central back they have to change too because captain Fabian is suspended today, his replacement can be Cacutalua. He has not start since 7 games but he gets the trust today. Back in the starting lineup should be top striker Terodde who was on bench last game for special reasons from Coach.

After having a good start under follower Coach Effenberg they are running behind their expectations. In all their last 6 games they have not much success and looking for a win but failed always. After first half of the Season they got only 16 Points and stands on 16. Place. They had a lot of expectations on Effenberg but he could not deliver so far. Only one Season they had less Points (12 in Season 07/08) as now and at the end they were relegated.

The situation in very serious and Coach Effenberg has to find some solutions now to bring his team on the right track and lead them into a better future. Some changes are possible but as always Effenberg made a real secret for the lineup. In defensive Heinloth can get a break and Narey replace him there. Also up front had Proschwitz not the best game against Nürnberg what put maybe Lakic back into the starting lineup.

Fortuna Düsseldorf - Eintracht Braunschweig

This is the second match for interims Coach Hermann, he hosts with his Fortuna Eintracht Braunschweig this evening. With a win they can expand the distance to the red zone up to 3 Points what gives them more advantage for the upcoming matches. But their opponent can with a win close the gap to third place to 1 Point and this is their aim right now.

Fortuna's Coach Hermann does not like the job as head Coach, he is more a man behind the head Coach where he had great success above all with Bayern Munich as Co from Heynckes. Until the winter break he stands on the sideline and he wants to continue his started winning run last weekend. First problem is that his key player in midfield Demirbay is suspended after some bad words against Miss referee Bibi Steinhaus. The role from him should play Schmitz this evening but he is not real creative guy and can not replace him even. Second problem is Ya Konan who is out for this match, for him can play Pohjanpalo up front but he has not scored in 13 matches this Season therefore not the most dangerous player at the moment and Düsseldorf needs goals otherwise they have the same problems as in the past.
But we have also a positive sign for Düsseldorf because in their last 5 home games they were able to collect 10 Points what speaks for them. If they want to be successful in searching for a new Head Coach it would be very helpful if they win some matches before the winter break because not all wants to be a Coach form a team who is in huge danger and have additional stress.

The last away matches were not much successful for Braunschweig. They lost to Paderborn 0-2, to Freiburg they got a 2-2 draw what should be good but the last game to Nürnberg 1-2 was a big disappointment for them additional. If they want to get back in promotion race they need more constance on the road and also some more wins as lately. To begin of every match they had a lot of problems recently above all in first half, in second half they are much more ahead of the actions and they are much better. Maybe the conditional performance is very good if they can bring more in second half but it is sometimes to late to win a match. Therefore they should be ready from beginning on and allow not to much.
It looks like that Coach Lieberknecht does not much changes and he counts on almost the same from last match against Bochum. Only Sauer must pass what brings Correira back into the staring lineup. Also Boland is at 100% now after 5 weeks injury he needs still some rest and maybe can be an option in second half again.

1.Bundesliga on Sunday !!

VfB Stuttgart - Werder Bremen

VfL Wolfsburg - Borussia Dortmund

But in defense they have with Klose a real good replacement and he should be able to hold the level high. In midfield and offensive they have good players who can make the difference. At home they are always trying to put some pressure on the opponent and are much more offensive minded as on road games. Coach Hecking has more options as with Draxler returns a player from suspension. If he stands in starting lineup immediately is open so far.

After having a difficult last Season Coach Tuchel has turn things around in Dortmund and they are doing really well this Season again. Their play is excellent and the offense is really great and normally not to stop. With players like Reus, Castro, Micky and Aubameyang they have an absolutely in form quartet and with creative Gündogan behind they are very hard to defend. The most problems are in defensive where some of the players running behind their form or having problems to be ahead of their actions. Therefore Coach Tuchel changes much more in this part, what brings not much stability right now. Hummels was rested and should return in central back again while Ginter maybe sit on bench after some weak games and Pisczek has the advantage now. Also Weigl should return and build up the central part in midfield but of course with defensive mission. But after latest news miss Dortmund a lot of defensive players with Hummels, Sokratis and Weigl who all have the flu.

Overall both teams have a really great offensive and this encounter speaks for goals. Almost all matches in the past had goals and why not this again. The offensive lines are very hard to defend, both with a lot of individual class and quickness can bring a lot of trouble for both defensive lines.

One of the surprise team this Season is of course Hertha BSC, they manage to get a better atmosphere into their squad and success is a real good medical. They are working very well with Coach Dardai and last Seasons relegation trouble is far away, not they are on 4. Place and very close to third. Last Season they had a lot of problems in front of the goal and they need a lot of opportunities to score, this Season it is much different and they are very clinical right now. With Kalou and Ibisevic they have good attackers who can make the difference, what they showed already sometimes. As Ibisevic was suspended Kalou was able to hold Hertha on track with his goals. The preferred style of play from Coach Dardai is more a fast break one. They try to play very compact and changes immediately if they get the ball into an attacking one. The space is needed to bring all their positive quality from their offensive players on the pitch.

A lot of problems for Leverkusen right now. They are still running behind their standard and this is what brings Coach Schmitt more and more under pressure. They had not the needed results lately and with some Points difference to the top four they should start winning immediately. Otherwise they fall behind more and more and the goal is not reachable for them this Season. Against a direct rival they have to win, nothing more nothing less. But what players should manage this? The defensive line produce a lot of mistakes recently, if all defenders or keeper Leno, it is no stability there. Up front it is only due to some individual actions of players like Bellarabi, Mehmedi, Hernandez or Kampl that they get dangerous. The team play does not exist what is important to be successful. This can be a key match for them according to table situation.

This encounter is an absolutely important one for Bayer Leverkusen, they can not sit back and wait until Hertha is active and look how the match is going. They must come out and be active from first minute on to win this encounter to close the gap to the top 4. This is very important for Coach Schmitt and his team. Before the Season it was a lot of doubts in Freiburg if this young and unexperienced squad is good enough to play for promotion immediately. But after 16 Rounds they can be very proud what good squad they have build. All are working very well with Coach Streich together and they are the team which must be beaten. They are on the top even with Leipzig and with a win they can climb half time title. This should be additional motivation for them anyway and all are very hot to celebrate with the fans a bit after the game. The offensive is one of the best in league and they are scoring very well above all at home. The atmosphere is special in this close stadium and the players like it. With Grifo, Philipp, Petersen and Frantz they are always able to create some dangerous situation and put some pressure on the opponent. These guys can not be stopped over 90 minutes. On the other side the defensive line has some weakness what allow some goals too. It may can be that they have to change there too often because of missing players above all on the wing.

In Berlin were all talking from top 6 and maybe more but the good last Season could not be repeated so far. After they sucked Düwel Lewandowski had a good start but the team fall back to old bad play. Coach Lewandowski wants to play an offensive style with a lot of pressure over the wings but the team has still problems to bring this on the pitch, a lot of ups and downs. Better matches followed weak matches and so on. This makes it very difficult to get out of the trouble they are at the moment. Also they play a new system with a 3 men defending line where the players must be ahead of all actions. With this Lewandowski wants to have one man more in midfield to get more pressure in offensive. Over the wings they are very prone and allow always easy goals. Against the top offense of the league can this be a big problem. Up front they are always able to score above all with corners and standards where they have good players and also tall one.

The offensive power from Freiburg is enormous and they scored already 26 goals in 8 home matches. In 7 of 8 they scored at least 2 or more goals, only against Bochum 1-3 they were not able to score more. But in these 8 matches they conceded already 14 goals what speaks not much for their defensive work. Ok, with all the big guns up front they can allow to take the focus not to much on defensive. They are a offensive playing team and they love to get out and fire from all guns. They are dangerous from all situations, if fast breaks, standards, corners and so on. Also a lot of players can score too. On the other side has Union not the best defensive line and should get a lot of problems with such an excellent playing side from Freiburg. Of course they should get some opportunities to score what they did in 6 of their 7 away games. Therefore we are very pleased with the over here.

Arminia Bielefeld - Karlsruher SC

Newcomer Bielefeld started well and had an excellent advantage to the teams at the bottom but due to the long winless run at home they are getting more and more in danger. Of course they are still a bit above the red zone but the teams behind are collecting all Points and coming closer. Therefore they should try to find a way to win their first home game since April. It looks like that they have a real curse on home games. They are playing not such bad but they are not able to get their good offensive actions finished. With only 2 goals in 7 games, they are far away from good and with this number they can not win matches. For this reason they have to improve their offensive play a lot. The defensive work is very well, they are hardly to beat and conceded only 5 goals at home so far. They conceded 3 of them in both defeats to Braunschweig 0-2 and RB Leipzig 0-1. Nevertheless the team is in good shape and all believe that they are able to win against KSC and celebrate with their fans after long time at home. Coach Meier was ill under the week but should be on the sideline and he changes maybe two times because with Hemlein and Börner are two players back compared to the game in Berlin. In this case Hornig is on bench after his first start from beginning on this Season last weekend. Not available is Behrendt who is suspended for this game and in offense is Nöthe a big doubt, he suffers muscle problems. But with Müller and Ulm they should have good replacements there too.

The team from Karlsruhe was not very pleased with the performance and defeat in derby against Sandhausen two weeks ago. They showed a much better performance to Leipzig at home but lost due to a reflected shot 0-1. They should have deserved much more because they dominate this game and were the much better side. Also they had the chance to take the lead but greek attacker Diamantakos missed a penalty. This should have them put in an excellent situation and Leipzig never has won on this evening then. But it was much different and they must try to get the Points back that they have lost. They are only a few Points ahead of the red zone too, because with 19 Points they have only 2 more as their opponent today. Therefore this can be a very close and hard fight for the win maybe. As the performance was good from the starting lineup it is not sure if Coach Kauczinski changes anything then. Of course he has some in back but it is not a must according to last good performance. But it is a big difference if KSC plays at home or away from home. Away from home they are doing not so well and they collected only 8 Points so far, scored only 5 goals in 8 matches and conceded already 14.

This is the next chance for Arminia to get the job done at home after a long time. Maybe this can be the right opponent to the right time because KSC has a lot of problems on the road. If they can not take the lead and play from a compact defensive it is very hard for them to get something. The team from Bielefeld had a fan meeting under the week and all are very hot for the first win. They talked a lot and key striker Klos said that they made an agreement with the fans ..... they invest all what they have available to win this one.

1.FC Nürnberg - SC Paderborn

After Nürnberg could beat 2 top teams with Braunschweig and St. Pauli they are very close to the top places. Only 2 Points behind third place let them dream for more. If they want to close the gap they should win this one and celebrate the third win in a row with their fans. But with Paderborn coming a team to Nürnberg who has not won in their last 4 and they are extremely motivated to turn things around. Their Coach Effenberg makes them hot and he wants to get out of the red zone.

With 6 unbeaten matches Nürnberg is getting closer to the top and at home they are still unbeaten with 4-4-0. Only top team and leader Freiburg has collected more Points at home as Nürnberg. They are very hard to beat in their own stadium and under Coach Weiler it happened only twice.

For this encounter he has a big problem because the team did a great job against St. Pauli and played really great. They showed an excellent performance but their key player Burgstaller returns from suspension and it is not sure if he wants to miss his quality and fighting spirit in starting lineup. Although all three Schöpf, Leibold and Möhwald had a great performance in Hamburg it is not sure if all three starts again. One of these guys maybe sit on bench. It looks like that Möhwald rotates out and the system can be changed from 4-2-3-1 to 4-4-2. But it is also possible that Füllkrug plays behind the one striker Burgstaller.

After Effenberg starts in Paderborn he could bring his fire and courage in and he celebrated two wins in a row with his team but after these wins they are doing only average and the results are not in their favor right now. They are running behind their expectations and without winning one of the last 4 they fall down to 16. Place. At the moment they are more down as under former Coach Gellhaus. Effenberg has to change a lot and look forward to improve with his team. One of the key problems is the defensive work because with conceding twice 4 goals it is far away from good. Karlsruher SC - RB Leipzig

This is the big chance for RB Leipzig to open the gap from 3 two 6 Points with a win to St. Pauli on third place. It can be a huge advantage for the upcoming matches and also for their big aim to promote to 1.Bundesliga. But it can be a very tricky game for them as with KSC they face a team who was unbeaten in 7 after losing to Sandhausen 1-3 last weekend. This game was not as expected for KSC and they want to turn things around for today again.

After their famous run with 7 unbeaten matches they suffer a big after losing in derby to Sandhausen. But all know that sooner or later the run will end sometimes but it was not expected to end this in derby. This is what they made them angry. After such a weak performance all expect a reaction of the team today, above all the fans but also Coach and Management.

This time they should a bit more space above all striker Hoffer can be key here with his quickness. Also Torres is a player who can push over the wing and is very fast additional. RB Leipzig is defending very high what speaks a lot for KSC’s style of play. Maybe Coach Kauczinski counts on two strikers to get more offensive power. Borussia Dortmund - VfB Stuttgart

Statistic:

- The last success was in January 2010 with 4-1 but at home in their stadium.
- BvB is unbeaten in all competition home games since 16 matches (15-1-0).

If Dortmund is not able to win this encounter it is clear, Bayern Munich has won the half time title already. MSV Duisburg - SV Sandhausen

After two draws under him wants new Coach Gruev more for his MSV. He is aiming for the first win today. If MSV Duisburg wants to have a chance to remain in 2.Bundesliga next Season again they have to start winning now. They need only wins until the winter break otherwise it would be very hard to get this job done. The upcoming opponents are all not very easy for them. The first one today Sandhausen, then Kaiserslautern, Leipzig and Bochum. All teams from the upper half of the table what means maybe they are better to play for them because they must be active while MSV can go on counter what should not the case today, above all in a home game. The self confidence is getting bigger above all after the last results. They did not lose in the last 3 home games and they are very optimistic to get the win against Sandhausen today. Last time they face them was 1012/13 and they could win both duels against SVS.
Coach Gruev has to change a bit because with Grote is one midfield player suspended today but with Meißner returns one who can be in starting lineup immediately. Also Bohl move form the central back to the left back wing what should not be a big problem for him at all. The other positions remain unchanged.

Maybe this team have some contrast to Darmstadt from last Season what is of course possible. If many talk about this it can be additional pressure for them and this is not what they are want. Coach Schwartz is working from week to week and prepare his team and he said he is looking to get the best out of the squad. For today he has to change one time as with captain Kulovits is one important central midfield player suspended, for him Thiede takes the position.

FC St. Pauli - 1.FC Nürnberg

After the late 2-1 win to Braunschweig at home Nürnberg got some euphoria back in their club and they are looking more to the top of the table now as to bottom zone. Their aim is to get closer to the top places and for this they have to win in Hamburg today. With a win they can close the gap to 2 Points to today's opponent who had a great period lately. The last game brought them a bit back on ground because they lost to bottom team 1860 0-2 and showed nothing in this game. It was more an absolutely average performance and this is not enough in this close league, therefore they want to get back on track today in front of their hot crowd.

FC St. Pauli is doing really great in their home stadium and they could win 5 of their last 6 home games there. It is a real advantage to play in front of such excellent fans which push them from beginning on. The young team likes it and they doing a great job in this hot atmosphere. Despite the good run at home is Coach Lienen warning his team already. They face a very good opponent which is able to play very fast and good counter attacks and this bring them always in good situations in front of the goal. In this case they are always able to score 1-2 goals.
Squad wise he has all ready, the situation on Nürnberg's side is a bit different for Weilert today. According to this he can choose from all key players and this makes the situation a bit more easy for Lienen. He can put up the players he means that they can beat Nürnberg today. But it looks like that the same starting lineup gets the chance to recover from last game in Munich. Also Thy who had a great day against Düsseldorf with his four goals but showed really nothing in Munich. They are all very curious what he brings on the pitch today.

It was not all well what Nürnberg showed against Braunschweig. Of course they were the better side and they deserved the win but the match and their play was long time very weak. The first goal was unexpected but it was maybe key for them to believe in them more. After the equalizer it looks like that this match do not find any winner but Burgstaller made the difference as sometimes this Season already. For the match in Hamburg they have to replace him, this is very hard for Nürnberg to replace one of the biggest key player and big fighter. He saw his fifth yellow card and is suspended here, also central midfield player Polak saw his fifth yellow card and is suspended too. This means Coach Weiler has to change two times maybe. They are searching for an even replacement but it is hard to find one. Leibold is back from suspension and can be in starting lineup immediately. Also Blum is an option in attack who can bring some power and quickness in. If Nürnberg wants to have a chance to return into promotion race they must win this game and continue they unbeaten run (since 6 matches).

Union Berlin - Arminia Bielefeld

Union has lost their strength at home what the stats shows. They won only 1 of their 8 home games at "Alte Försterei" and this is much too less for them. Above all their fans drool over for a win because they are always creating a special atmosphere and they deserve to celebrate for their big support as well. The team is looking forward to turn things around and they are very hot to beat Bielefeld today. But it is not the most easy task, coming with Bielefeld a very hard to playing team. Arminia lost only one but played 5 times draw and won only 1 on the road. According to their stats they are coming with a lot of self confidence to Berlin and they want to get here something. On the other side both teams are neighbor in table and both need the win because the red zone is not far away of both.

Despite their weak home stats they got a lot of self confidence in the last games and they are very focused to walk on this way. They could win to Heidenheim 2-0 and draw to Nürnberg 3-3 although they were up 3-1 already, and the last game in Bochum 1-1 where they have to come from behind was also a good sign for their actual form. The most problems have they in their defensive work, in none of the last 5 matches could they keep a clean sheet at home. The next problem they face at the moment is that many of their players a light ill, a lot of players are cough on the trainings sessions but Coach Lewandowski said that he sees none of these players doubtful. The home matches from Bielefeld are always very frustrated for them, they play good but the outcome is nothing, no win, no goal and again 0-1 lost to Leipzig. For this reason they are very happy to play away from home where they had the much better results this Season so far. On the road they are hard to play as mentioned above and they are doing a great job, maybe they can win this encounter what should help them to make some steps forward and collect more self confidence for the upcoming home game against Karlsruhe. The success they had on opponents pitch was preferred due to an excellent balanced play and a great counter style. Both defensive wings are doing a great job with running the sideline up and down very often to help in offensive but Dick and Schuppan did this very well lately. It is almost the same situation for Meier, he can count on almost all players. Only Hemlein had some problems during the week but should be ready, if not, Müller can be an option after returning from a long injury time.

But all this do not help much if you concede a goal, you have to change your Plan and you must be able to do this.
