"Cup" TSV 1860 München - 1899 Hoffenheim

After two very disappointing matches to begin of the Season, many fans expecting the next very difficult Season for 1860 with maybe the next relegation battle. They are hoping for more and also for some variety in this dull routine of everyday life. Maybe the match in Cup against 1899 is some kind of a variety for them and allow them to dream a bit from successful times. With 1899 Hoffenheim returns a former 1860 player and they are very proud about him (Kevin Volland).
For Hoffenheim it is the first hard test before the league start in one week. They have to build a new team with new guys who can replace players like Firmino or Beck who left the club. They signing with Kuranyi an experienced player but he should be not ready for today. He is not ahead of his fitness and therefore Volland has to play alone up front or get an other partner on his side. Nevertheless Coach Gisdol has a very young and talented squad and they can be one of the surprise teams this season. But today they are favorite, of course.

The Coach from 1860 prepared his team for this game and he does not want to talk over some new guys for his squad because it is almost a disaster. They have some in mind but are not able to sign them right now, therefore he must work with the guys which are there. He said he wants to concentrate on the 90. oder 120. minutes against 1899 because he sees the chance 50:50 to advance. He has some in mind how he wants to play but do not allow us any view about it. The only thing he mentioned was that they want to be active in the game and they should not produce mistakes as in the two games of the league. If they can bring this on the pitch he is very keen for a surprise.
Also the starting lineup is very questionable, Coach Fröhling does not tell us much. In Cup should get 2nd keeper Ortega a chance to play while compared to the 0-1 against Freiburg not many changes must been made. In attack they play with only one instead of two. If Okotie or Hain are playing there is open because both are not at 100% at the moment. The system should be 4-2-3-1 what gives Wolf a good chance to move into the starting lineup what makes the play from 1860 a bit more fast. In this case they count on counter but they should use 1 or 2 otherwise they have no chance here. The offensive play was to harmless in league matches anyway and they were not able to score a single goal. The defensive worked well but conceded always a goal what put them on losing side.

If 1899 can bring all their power on the pitch despite the very hot weather today, 1860 should have no chance at the moment, they are to harmless right now.

"CUP" MSV Duisburg - FC Schalke 04

This game has something from a "Bundesliga" duel what was the case many years ago. The last game between these two clubs was also in Cup 2011. It was the same situation like today, MSV played 2.BL and they were able to go through to the Final where they meet Schalke 04 but they lost 0-5 there. This time they want to be a much better opponent and they want also avoid such a high defeat what is not very helpful in their situation right now. They lost both matches to begin of the 2.Bundesliga and showed not much. Their self confidence is not the best but this is a competition where they can get some back with some surprise here. If they beat Schalke this would be a dream but they are not so confident about themselves and they hope more for a close match and that they can be even with Schalke. But for this they have to improve a lot and they should avoid the mistakes they have made in both league matches so far.

The preparation is over for Schalke, this is their first important match in Cup and they have to win it. Nothing more would be expected from them. Coach Breitenreiter said that this is the most easy way to get a title. They have only to win 7 games and all is done, but of course it is a long way and they have to look from opponent to opponent. With Geis, di Santo and Caicara are three new signings expected in the starting lineup. All the other positions are also contested because Breitenreiter has a lot to choose from with only Höwedes, Uchida and Giefer out. The options are there and it is all up from form and feeling what he fields today.

Duisburg Coach Lettieri has some opposing wind from media and pundit but he knows this very well that they have to improve a lot and that this game can be a good chance to take this good feeling and self confidence into the next League match what let them have a bit following wind. He said that they need some luck and a good performance that they are able to beat Schalke but on such a day all is possible above all in Cup. The situation in squad is not the best right now. With Hajri and Albutat they miss already two players for the position in central midfield and the next is out too with Dausch. This means that new signing Holland is immediately in the starting lineup and plays beside Bohl. The Australian has played some minutes in Bochum already but he should be not at 100% fitness. Also some tactical matching and so on are not sure for 100%.
Therefore they have to work on their starting lineup a bit. All is possible, if they play with 5 guys in defensive line or maybe 4-2-3-1 with Janjic behind the lone striker. The attacker who plays there is also open because Onuegbu disappointed in both games and should be on bench now, with Iljutcenko and Brandstetter they have two alternatives there. But nevertheless the support from the midfield team mates are needed hardly. All are required to improve their performance and help for a better offensive play. With Janjic, Bröker and Grote who gets a new chance here they should have good opportunities there but is this enough against a team from BL?

If we compare the performances from both first games, MSV should have a hard match ahead but we know also Schalke and it was always some kind of a lucky bag recently. Maybe with the new Coach not but we will see. Former Schalke hero Olaf Thon said 3-0 win for S04 !!!

"CUP" BFC Dynamo Berlin - FSV Frankfurt

It was only an average start into the Season for FSV with only one Point and zero goals. They lost to RB Leipzig 0-1 and played in Bielefeld 0-0. Therefore they are still waiting for their first win this Season and also for their first goal too. If they want to do the job today they have to improve a bit against a team from Regional Leagues North-East. BFC started good into the Season with a 0-3 at home against top team Zwickau but got things changed in Halberstadt where they could celebrate their strength with a 6-2 win. Above all N'Diaye was with 4 goals the man of the match and this guy should be lay some attention on him today. The former DDR Champion is in good shape and they want to hurt the team from 2.Bundesliga despite very hot weather.

FSV Coach Oral said that he is far away to underestimate this opponent above all he said that they have a lot of very good players in their rows. One he has trained already at RB Leipzig with Thiago Rockenbach who is the playmaker from BFC. Also they come to Berlin and face a very motivated and with a lot of self confidence appointed team. Also they are one of the favorites in their league to promote. They have showed already what they are able to bring on the pitch despite their lose in first game against Zwickau.

Oral has to replace again some players with Schmidtgal, Schain and Hammel. He was also not very pleased with the outcome of the first two games and he sees a lot of things they have to improve or to work on it. Some parts of the team are not ahead of their level and they have to work hard on it and improve. He meant the offensive play what was very harmless so far. One of the players who disappointed a lot was Engels who was out of the team in first half against Bielefeld already and Epstein replaced him. He made his job a bit better and can hope to be in the starting lineup today. But this means that they change a bit, Golley move to the right while Epstein plays left. All the other positions should be remain unchanged. The only open part can be the attack, where they have to field more power above all as favorite against a lower division team. Maybe FSV plays with two attackers Kapllani and Dedic. If Coach Oral field like this it is very open which player must on bench.

In Cup all is possible and it is not an easy match for FSV against a very hot team which has nothing to lose.

Karlsruher SC - FC St. Pauli

The team from Baden Württemberg KSC started not very well into the season. It looks like that they have still to do with their harsh knock out against Hamburg where they was very close to promote but conceded in almost the last minute the goal who shocked them all. They was not ahead of their actions and lost deserved to Fürth 0-1 last weekend. Their opponent today St. Pauli saved them with a 5 games winning streak last season and they want continue the run anyway. Despite the good mood and self confidence from recent matches they could not feed it to the game against new promoted team from Bielefeld. The outcome was only a 0-0 draw in their new and very beautiful stadium now. Both teams want the first win this Season .......

Coach Kauczinski said that he was not very pleased with his team and the performance overall. They have to improve in some parts and have to work hard to get the job done today. Some of the parts were not able to harmonize well and this was seen in their play with a lot of mistakes anyway. It is very important to close all deficits to get a much better and more aggressiv performance on the pitch.
The next big blow this week was that central back Max left to Augsburg and allow Coach Kauczinski not to make some changes in defensive row. He wants to move Max from right to the left and let Kempe play on the right for him as with Trust, Bader and Valentini are three central back players are not available due to injuries. Of course, Kempe is set to play but he must replace Max now and this is not much easy at the moment with less alternatives. He has to search in his squad for some options. He has to in mind with Stoll and Dehm. The first has played already in Fürth but he is a solid worker in defensive but has not actions in offensive what help not much for the offensive play. The second one is an absolutely newcomer and he gives his debut if he is in the starting lineup. Not as easy as expected for the Coach.
All the other positions maybe remain the same in a 4-4-2 system but after the break in Fürth they changed to 4-2-3-1 what was the preferred one last Season. Of course Peitz can be an option for Krebs in central midfield but this would be the much more defensive tactic what is not welcome at home in their stadium. They have also good news because MID Yamada is back in team training and can be an option on bench right now. The other talents with Köpke and Mehlem are slight injured and it is not really out if they are on bench or not.

The team from Hamburg remember very well the last match in Karlsruher where they has not chance and lost in the end 0-3. It was very easy for KSC to overcome Pauli with their fast and excellent counter attacks. This time Pauli is aware of this situation and they have to find some instruments against this play. Coach Lienen said that they want to play a good game with attractive soccer but they have to build a compact team which are able to stop this fast actions from KSC. The word is compactness what they want to be today to hurt a chipped KSC team.
Lienen has to plan without Miyaichi who is long term injured and Buchtmann who has still some lag. But with Kalla returns a fighter into the squad and he should be ready as he played already 18 minutes against Bielefeld. But it is very open if he move into the starting lineup as with Nehrig they had a solid guy on the wing and he made his job very well. But he can changes a bit in midfield where Nehrig can replace Rzatkowski for a more defensive minded lineup and allow Kalla to start on the back wing then. The next option can be Kalla for Sobota in right midfield because Sobota had not his best day and produced an awful performance.

TSV 1860 München - SC Freiburg

After their 0-1 defeat in Heidenheim and the big trouble again Sport Manager Poschner decide to leave 1860 Munich. He worked only under observation and a decision of him was planed in September / October but the pressure was to high now that he quiet. Not the best sign for 1860 above all after such a bad last season. The problems are there already and they have to look forward and turn things around immediately otherwise it would be the next difficult Season for them. With SC Freiburg they face a team who was relegated from 1.Bundesliga but they showed their strength already last monday with a 6-3 win over Nürnberg. This team has a lot of ambitions this Season although they lost a lot of players but they could build a new and strong team. Nevertheless 1860 must look for Points here, they are under pressure already.

The preparation to this game was not very important above all in their press conference all are asking about Poschner and no one has questions for this game what makes Coach Fröhling very angry. He said that the situation is not the best but they have to deal with it and must invest all their possible energy in this game. The players are thinking to much in the past days and he hopes that they have their heads free and play relaxed and without any fear to be a hard opponent for Freiburg in their stadium.
Personell are not many changes expected, only if both Okotie and Adlung can play. Both are slight injured and they must wait if they are ready. If both can play, all will be the same as in Heidenheim, if not they have with Hain, Wolf and Vollmann three players in hand who can take the positions. In defensive he has with Bülow and Rodnei also two guys on bench who should have the quality to start for 1860. Bülow can be an option in midfield too, he has showed his skills there and could be a really stabilizer there. With Stahl and Lacazette were two guys missed in the squad for today, but it is not out why.
Independent form squad they have to improve a lot above all their offensive play. This was almost nothing in Heidenheim and they are more as harmless. They created almost nothing and in second half they defend only. This is to less for 2.Bundesliga and ends in a disaster. Most of the players are too fearful and they have no self confidence what is needed to win matches.

After an average pre-season, where Freiburg was not able to get rolling above all in offensive they showed a different face last monday with an excellent 6-3 win against Nürnberg. The offensive actions were very fast and they could overcome Nürnberg easily. If they have the same power today it would be very hard for 1860 to stop them. The combination style was very acceptable and all their players are very quick and in drive as well. But after they were up 4-0 they stopped a bit playing and Nürnberg was able for a comeback to 3-4. This showed that Freiburg has also some weakness in defensive and if you play in such a close league you never should give less then 100% the whole match.
Coach Streich mentioned it already, the win was good but they have still a lot of work. His new build team need some time till they get all their power on the pitch over 90 minutes. But the basis is there and they can work on it from week to week to get better and better. All 3 offensive guys, Grifo, Petersen and Philipp has to continue and confirm their good performance from monday again. Compared to the game on monday, there are no changes expected. The alternatives are less anyway because with Kempf, Kübler and Möller-Daehli they miss 3 guys injured anyway.

VfL Bochum - MSV Duisburg

On Round 2 we have the first West Duel between Bochum and Duisburg. Both towns not far away from each other and maybe can lead into a full stadium today. This is the second match between these two clubs in short time because some weeks ago VfL Bochum played a test friendly in Duisburg and won there 2-1. With this result they would be very pleased again of course. With a win they are up with 6 Points out of 2 matches what is an excellent start anyway then. On the other side MSV had not the best start and got a hard defeat at home against Kaiserslautern to begin. They were not really able to beat Lautern, above all the first 30 Minutes they were far from good and lost the game in this sequence. They have to do much better today if they do not want to sit on the bottom from beginning on.

The start from Bochum was good and they confirmed their pre-season performance. With a 1-0 win against relegated Paderborn who was aiming for more to begin they started very well. Coach Verbeek was very pleased with his team and the performance they brought on the pitch on the first game. He sees that his system is working more and more now but he said also that they have to play constant in the future. We can expect the same lineup who started in Paderborn. It was only one question mark behind central defender Fabian who got injured in the last minutes and was out in Paderborn. But he is back in team training and can play after his head injury. But nevertheless they have some players in hand of course. For Fabian came Simunek and he made his job very well. Also under the week they played a test friendly against Bamberg 3-0, here could convince Nando Rafael with two goals.
The next good option is Weis in midfield but he returns after slight injury and is on bench first. He can play a lot of positions in midfield what makes him such important for Coach Verbeek's squad.

It was a hard start for MSV after returning to 2.Bundesliga after some time. Coach Lettieri was searching for all the positive things they have done in the match against Kaiserslautern. They have to think positive and try to do better this time. In an interview he said that they had 9-6 shots on target and 5-0 corners but the end result was 1-3. This was maybe because of too many individual mistakes in team and his players. In this interview he was very positive and this give us a small view about the starting lineup for today. There are not many changes, he gives his team a match to recover. Maybe it is also due to less alternatives right now. With Hahri they miss still an important player while new singing Holland is not ready yet but sit on bench. This means that Dausch and Albutat plays again in front of the defensive row. In central defensive we have Bomheuer and Bajic but they must improve a lot compared to the last game.
In offense we have Broker who plays for sure while replaced Grote has to fight for his place. If Grote is out of the starting lineup Janjic can move to the wing but he has his best games in the middle and is much more dangerous there. Up front Iljucenko can play beside Onuegbu what means a much more offensive minded lineup with two attackers. Therefore it is a bit doubtful if Lettieri makes changes.

1.FC Kaiserslautern - Eintracht Braunschweig

The first home game for Kaiserslautern, they meet Eintracht Braunschweig today. Both are teams who should be count to the promotion candidates this season but both started different. Kaiserslautern got a excellent start at newcomer MSV Duisburg with a 3-1 win while Eintracht Braunschweig was not able to win against Sandhausen in front of their crowd. No the got hammered 1-3 and stand under pressure already if they do not want to run behind for some time. 

After the very good start and excellent performance in Duisburg it is a lot of euphoria in and around the club but all of their responsible persons are warning and do not want to let the leave the ground unter their feed. Coach Runjaic said that he was very pleased with the performance in the first 30 Minutes but the rest was not was he expect form his team. Therefore he has already some points he can work on and show this his team already. Therefore they are far away from high flying, they have to repeat it every week and show that they are able to play for the top. Additional said Runjaic that they are to begin of the season and they have to improve from week to week. According to last game it is very open if he wants to change or allow his successful starting lineup a new chance again. He said in an interview that he gave that it is open on 2-3 position where to start but this was more a statement to hold the pressure in squad high and that no one can be sure if he starts again. It is all up themselves in the trainings week to prove them. 

Normally he can not change anything, the performance was to good from all. The new signings made a great job and put them on a good level right now. Nevertheless the mates on the bench Mugosa, Tommy and Görtler make a lot of pressure and they are very close to the starting lineup, if one of the starters slowdown a bit they are ready, of course. Also in defensive they have with Ziegler and Mockenhaupt some in hand who make some noise in training.

It was seen in their last test friendly already that they are not ahead of their standard level. Above all against Assel 1-0, Kiew and Rayo 1-2 they showed not the best performances but that they are still far away from their best was disappointing against Sandhausen in their first important home game this season. In offensive they are far away from good and has a lot to improve right now and in defensive they are very fragile for standards.

Coach Lieberknecht has to answer a lot of critical questions above all his defending line. He wants to count again on the 3 guys in central back and build up a wide midfield. The defending row can be changed because with Reichel is an option back after suspension form last season. He can be a key options maybe and build up this row with Correia and Decarli. New signing Baffo had some illness and he is not ready yet. Maybe a place on bench, similarly for Pfitzner too.

Both wings with Boalnd and Ofosu.Ayeh starts again while also both new central midfield players with Schönfeld and Matuschyk has their places safe too. Nevertheless all 4 has to improve a lot compared to the last game. In offensive it is a new face expected. Up front plays not Hochscheidt but rather Hvilsom gives his debut today. Hochscheidt moves back in offensive midfield and plays beside Omladic, both should help Hvilsom in front of the goal and assist him. This means that Zuck and Khalifi who played there are both out of the starting lineup according to their bad performances. Also not ready is Berggreen who face a knee injury and need still some time to get back on a good level.

1.FC Nürnberg - FC Heidenheim

It was a very disappointed first game for Nürnberg against Freiburg where they were not able to get more stability in their defensive row and lost deserved 3-6. To their first home game comes Heidenheim which they have not in their best mind after losing both games last Season to the newcomer. In Heidenheim 0-3 and at home 0-1, this means that they have to improve a lot to the last game and to the games last Season against the opponent today. They were not able to score a single goal in two games against this team, what is a big disaster for a club with such high ambitions. After the first game it is a lot of trouble in Nürnberg already and they should look forward to get all their power on the pitch today otherwise it can be a hard season again. On the other side Heidenheim comes to Nürnberg very relaxed, they have won the first game 1-0 to 1860 Munich and can go into this game without any pressure.

The start was a disaster and the team has a lot to improve, it can not be that they play two seasons in a row such a disappointed football without any mood and self confidence. They were 0-3 down after 13 Minutes and to half time 0-3. Ok, they showed a different face in second half where they come close with 3-4 but after a few minutes it was all gone because they conceded the knock out with 3-5. Coach Weiler is looking forward and he has put out the positive things what they have played in second half but if this help the team right now is not sure. He has made some changes to the break there and maybe he starts again with this lineup. He put in captain Polak beside Behrens in central midfield for more stability. In this case Polak can play the defensive part while Behrens can more a bit forward and assist Schöpf for more power in offense. Therefore the place from Stark is doubtful and he must on bench then. In attack it is possible that all three Gislason, Burgstaller and Blum can be out of the starting lineup but it more impossible that he gives them not his trust again. It was only 1 game and they should get the chance to recover.
The biggest change should be happen in defense. This was almost a disaster what happened there. They are not close to normal level there all. With Möhwald and Bulthuis played two guys there who normally do not play this position what was seen against Freiburg very well. Almost all goals comes over the side from Möhwald and he has had a very awful day. The other one Bulthuis has also a lot of problems and conceded a red card in the end of the game what put him out already. The first time Sepsi is in squad after his injury and he can be one of the starter on the wing. A big risky after an injury but what should they do with less alternatives on this position. The second man on the left wing is Leibhold but he should get some match praxis with the second team after his muscle injury and is not in the squad today. On the right back wing Möhwald has an awful day as already mentioned he can be replaced by the new signing Miso Brecko who came form Cologne yesterday. Of course he does not know the team but this is a better option as Möhwald as he plays this position for long time in his career.

One of the big surprise teams from last Season Heidenheim started well and Coach Schmidt was very pleased about the first game against 1860. Of course it was not all well but they got the calculated 3 Points and this let them work without any pressure this week. The only big thing they should solve for the upcoming games is in front of the goal where they need to many chances to score. They wasted with all their opportunities what makes Coach Schmidt not very happy. But the good thing was that they were able to create a lot and this is also one of the key facts for a small team that they know they are able to hurt their opponents and the power for such actions are there.
The fact that only 2 new signings are in the starting lineup with Feick and Frahn said all. The team is balanced very well and all know each other what is a big advantage to begin of the season when you can count on guys who played already last season there. The task in Nürnberg is a very hard one and Coach Schmidt expect a close game where they have to invest all what they are able to give. But nevertheless they want to be as brave as they can and hurt Nürnberg in their actual difficult situation. The starting lineup should be the same from last match day, all players are ready again, only long term injured midfield player Kitsch-Rivero is working on his comeback.

SC Freiburg - 1.FC Nürnberg

The monday game is between relegated Freiburg and Nürnberg. Both teams are promotion candidates above all both want to come back into 1.Bundesliga where normally their place is. Nevertheless they have to go through a hard Season and in the end they need a bit of luck to be on Top and get promoted. Despite some big loses in their squad Freiburg wants to begin as good as they can and hold  their big target alive on the other side had Nürnberg a very awful last season after their relegation. They hope that they have learnt form this and try to make it much better this Season.

The loses are huge for Freiburg if we take a look on the starting lineup form last Season. They lost their keeper Bürki to Dortmund, DEF Krmas to Kralove, MID Schmid to 1899, DEF Sorg and MID Klaus to H96, Mehmedi to Leverkusen and Darida to Hertha. This means they have to replace 7 players of their starting lineup. Additional left Riether to Schalke and 6 players more from second row the club. It is a big task for Coach Streich to build up a new and most important strong starting lineup.
Some of the players from last Season like Höhn, Höfler, Frantz and Philipp has to play an important role this Season. They are the guys who know the club well and should be the head of the team now, despite they are very young. The most important signing was Petersen who played already on loan last Season for Freiburg but they managed to get him from Bremen. Some of the 8 new players have their place in the starting lineup. From Bielfeld returns former keeper and talent Schwolow who has now much more experience and match praxis. He won the race against Klandt who came from FSV Frankfurt. Also new is DEF Kübler (SV Sandhausen) but he is not ready due to injury right now. This means that the defending row is build with well known guys. In midfield Höfler plays beside new signing Abrashi who came from Grasshoppers. If Coach Streich counts on Höfler and Abrashi is is very disappointing for captain Schuster who must begin on bench then. In midfield offensive is Grifp from 1899 a good choice who can create some and be one of the creative players from Freiburg. Kleindienst who comes from Cottbus is expected on bench due to slight injury he had under the week, also Kempf had some problems and on bench too. Also not available is Möller-Dähli injured.
The test matches were not as good as they prefer because they had some problems in the offensive play and were not able to score much. In 4 matches against Pauli, Spartak Moskau, Sandhausen and Malaga they scored only 1 time but conceded 4.

Nürnberg was in the same situation last year as Freiburg this time. They had to build a new squad after losing a lot of players. This time they lost only Pinola from their starting lineup what makes it much more easier for them maybe. Also the Coach is not new as last Season and they hope to come better into the Season as last time. They gave Weiler the opportunity to build up the squad he likes. With 7 new players the Coach got what he preferred. He wants two new back wings and with Sepsi (Mures) and Leibold (Stuttgart II) he got them but both war not available due to injuries today. In this case they need a new plan what brings Bulthuis in a very good position but Weiler does not like him much but he must set on him as he has no replacement anyway. Normally they want to sell him but at the moment it is difficult with the situation. On the other wing new signing Möhwald from Erfurt has to play this position but he is normally a midfield player and this is not the best position for him right now. Above the defensive row plays Behrens who came from Darmstadt and let Polak behind him as he must on bench because Weiler prefer more a system with 4-1-4-1 and only 1 central midfield player. The wings are Stark and Schöpf who can help Behrens if the situation is there.
From the other new guys is Kirschbaum the new keeper while Gislason (Kopenhagen) should help Burgstaller to get the lone attacker Blum in some good actions in front of the goal. Kutschke (Paderborn) and Sylvestr disappointed in pre season what put them on bench today.
In all their friendlies they did very hard and it was not so easy as they should have want it. Against Regio Team Schweinfurt they won only 1-0, the next team form Regio Jahn Regensburg 1-2 and Prag 0-1. Against Würzburger Kickers and Celta Vigo they played only 2-2.

Greuther Fürth - Karlsruher SC

The two team who meet each other at the first Round had different stories last Season. The home side was close to be relegated while KSC was very close to get promoted but failed very very close in the end. Both teams want to look forward and forget all the negative things they had to be ahead for a better future. Greuther Fürth is aiming for a safe midfield place this Season while KSC wants to be on top again but they do not give out any statement according to much better teams and also much better budget the others have.

It was a big move this summer in Fürth, some of their important players left the club, also they have a new Coach on the bench. Stefan Ruthenbeck comes form Aalen and he knows the league very well despite he got relegated with Aalen. The players who left were MID Fürstner, K Hesl, STR Przybylko and some from the second row. But they signed 7 new guys who should help to bring them more stability and success in their play. Some former team mates from Ruthenbeck came from Aalen like Gjasula and Hofmann. Both are ahead of their rivals and should be in the starting lineup today.
Coach Ruthenbeck counts on a 4-1-4-1 or on a 4-3-3 system. In goal Mielitz has some advantage against Flekken and should start here. The new signing form Freiburg must show now that they are able to bring his performance constant over a Season and give his team some help. The defensive line should be the same as from last season because some of the players are not ready. With Schröck and Korcsmar are two players out injured. Marco Caligiuri should be the head of the defensive line.
In their offensive area they have a lot of open positions. Coach Ruthenbeck is not sure what he wants to field there but he is clever and he does not want to give out all of his tactics. But some winners are there with Zulu and Tropic, both should get a place in starting lineup. In this case it is close and Stiepermann can be on bench first. But if Ruthenbeck does not count on Berisha who need still some time it is not impossible that Stiepermann move into the starting lineup. In attack they have two options who are very good with Freis and Kumbela. One of them are on bench but Kumbela is not ready 100% and in this case Freis starts.
The test friendlies were good with 9 out of 9 but the last test was a big disaster in their own stadium against Celta de Vigo with 1-5.


The KSC has done not so much on the market and they count more on a team from last Season. This could be an advantage because all know the style of Coach Kauczinski or it can be a disadvantage if some of them are meaning they are to safe and they have no fresh blood in their rows. From starting lineup they lost Yabo but they got some new guys as well with Thoelke, Köpke, Hoffer, Manzon. They are still searching for a replacement for Yabo but they have not found one so far. Also with Max and Hennings they have two players in their squad who wants to leave them. Above all Max wants to sign a contract in Augsburg.
Coach Kauczinski counts on the well known system 4-2-3-1 or 4-4-2. Top Scorer Hennings got with Hoffer a new and excellent partner. They should hold the offensive flag high for KSC. But nevertheless they have also some problems at the moment above all on the right wing. With Traut, Valentini and Bader are 3 players out who can play there. According to this central defender Stoll must play this part now. But he has made some good matches on this position in friendlies. Also their playmaker Yamada is out injured.
In all their tests they made a good figure and lost only to begin of the trainings camp 0-1 against a lower division team. The other results were rather positive for KSC. Above all against Aarau 2-0 and Malaga 3-1 they showed their strength.

MSV Duisburg - 1.FC Kaiserslautern

Two traditional teams play the Season opener this Friday. After two years MSV Duisburg is back in 2.Bundesliga and they want to start the Season well in their own Stadium while 1.FC Kaiserslautern goes in their fourth Season in 2.Bundesliga. Maybe it is a good sign for them because 2010 they managed after 4 years promotion. But nevertheless they have to build a new team again and this helps not much. They do a lot of understatement and avoid to give a real goal for this Season. The quality should be there for a top place but it is as every Season.

The euphoria is back in Duisburg after promotion and they are back in their home now again. They could hold all their important players, only a few from second row left the club. Therefore they can count on their successful team from last season and additional on their starting eleven as well. Although they signed six new players, only two managed it into the starting lineup while shortly signed central midfield player Holland is a candidate too but he is only a few days in training and not an option yet. The well balanced team knew each other well, only Bomheuer in central back and Bröker on the wing are the two new guys in starting lineup.

The other 4 guys are Iljutcenko and Brandstetter who both are ready and on the bench first while Poggenberg got injured in training and is out longer now, also Wiegel in not ready due to injury. Additional Wille and Scheidhauer are injured as well but not a problem at all for MSV. 

The test friendlies were successful to begin with two wins and a draw but the last major test against Bochum (1-2) and Porto (0-2) were both lost and was not the best for their self confidence.

Kaiserslautern must build a new team after 7 Starters left the club (Zoller, Demirbay, Matmour, Stöger, Heintz, Orban and Sippel). But they were able to sign 8 new players. DEF Vucur, MID Halfar, STR Przybylko, STR Mugosa which are all in starting lineup up for today. It is up to Coach Runjaic now to build up a successful team. It is also very open if he wants to play with two attackers or only one. The options are there with Mugosa or Görtler as replacement. Sure in the starting lineup is Przybylko up front, his partner is open.

Their key striker Hofmann left the club yesterday, he signed a contract at Brentford. Also Schulze, Gaus and Jacob are not available because all these guys are injured. The other new signings are expected on bench with Mockenhaupt, Alomerovic and Ziegler. Despite Vucur and Halfar are both parts defensive and midfield are very balanced with guys who are there already last season. So this can be an advantage maybe to begin as well. First keeper is Müller who won against Alomerovic and he knows the leagues already with some matches last season.

The test friendlies were very successful for Kaiserslautern. They were able to win 7 of these 8 games. Only against Danish team from Köge they lost 1-2, in all the others they showed that they are on a good way and had some great performances as well. The defensive worked very well and allowed not much while the offensive did a great job and scored and scored. 

Review and Forecast !!

Hi Guys,

Season is over and we want to take the opportunity to thank all for the trust and patience in our Service. Below we want to give a small review and maybe a short look at next Season 2015/16.

First half of the season was maybe a bit average but we had a great 2015 so far. Almost all Month end up in a decent Plus, only last Month (May) produced a slight Minus. We have to say sorry for that and the negative May. Unfortunately, it was up to me, I was not so brave and missed 3 Winners. These games had put us in a comfortable position in May too and we should have end 2015 with a clean sheet …. Sorry once again. We hope we learn from our mistakes for the future and can continue the positive trend from last seasons. Overall we had the next successful season, the third in a row, which shows that our system can not be that worse.

The break is short and next season starts again on 24. of July with the 2.Bundesliga games. The focus is on 2.BL on the first two Rounds, then comes the first Cup Round and one week later on 14. of August 1.Bundesliga open their gates. We have to admit that we are not going to be involved in the first 6 Rounds because we need this time to collect some numbers for our system. We practiced this already for a few seasons and success proves us right so far.

We are fully back in business with our advices in the middle of September (18. of Sep. with 2.BL Round 7 and 25. of Sep. with 1.BL Round 7).

Some plans for next Season are already there and we want to expand our Portfolio with some other leagues additional to our preferred German Leagues. The German Section will be on the same high standard like all seasons while all the other Top Leagues from England, France, Italy and Spain comes without any preview. Nevertheless all the advices we give from there are on high level and worked out with the same System. We proved this already last season and we are very keen to have the same success there too.

1860 München - Holstein Kiel

This is the last decision in Season 2014/15 when 1860 Munich hosts Holstein Kiel this evening. The stadium should be sold out and 1860 can expect a huge support because from the 70.000 are not many from Kiel. With their fans in back they want to avoid relegation and do not want to return after 22 years into 3.League. On the other side Kiel has the chance after 33 years to return into 2.Bundesliga, for this a draw is enough for them while 1860 must win. But goals must come for sure to get a decision as the first match ends 0-0.

Last time 1860 Munich got such a support it was against Nürnberg some weeks ago. They won 2-1 and hold them alive with this win. Therefore they know the situation already to play for such a big crowd. Coach Fröhling wants to make some changes because he was not very pleased with their play on Friday. Wittek played as back wing while Bandowski plays the offensive part there but he could not convince much and it is not impossible that Wittek move forward and the the offensive part this time. Also on the other side was Simon very weak, he can be replaced by youngster Wolf who can bring some fresh power with his quick actions. In attack they must count on Okotie again although he is far away from his best level but they have no alternatives. Rodri is not in the squad and Hain is not fit to start anway.

After a very good run from Round 22 till 36 which was the basis for 3rd place in 3.Bundesliga they lost the important match to Duisburg 1-3 and also the last one at home what cost them a better position and maybe the direct promotion. This maybe has cost them additional some self confidence what was seen in match on Friday where they work solid but in their offensive action they were very harmless and without any idea. Therefore it is very interesting to see how they react on the big crowd today. Of course they are very focused and they want the surprise. All are hot but it is a bit different before the game and if they stand on the pitch. The nerves can play an important role anyway. Coach Neitzel did a great job and he motivates his team very good. He said that they have to enjoy this game and invest all what they have available. But he wants to see his team to play very organized as he did on Friday already. The defense is their best part and they are very solid anyway, but nevertheless it is not expected that Neitzel changes anything compared to last game. The same lineup is expected.   

Holstein Kiel - 1860 München

This is the first game between Holstein Kiel and 1860 Munich. After 33 years Kiel has the chance to return to 2.Bundesliga while 1860 was in third league 22 years ago. Both teams meet each other exactly one year ago. This was in Cup and it was a very close one but 1860 could win the game 2-1 and advanced. This time Holstein Kiel is hot and wants to turn things around.

The team from Coach Neitzel has not the best start and they did not well in first half of the season and stands only on Place 8 but in second half they start a good run and they were unbeaten 15 times in a row but the 7 wins between Round 24 and 30 put them in a very good position. They had the chance till the end to get promoted directly but they lost the direct duel against rival MSV Duisburg. Additional the weak performance on the road where they lost all last 4 games let them fail in the end.

The man of success is for sure Coach Neitzel who did a great job and he trust a very balanced starting lineup over the last weeks, month. Therefore it is not far away that he changes not much. He trusts the same as he did lately. They play a very good system above all in offensive where the players change the positions a lot what is hard to defend for the opponent. The guys who are there are very quick and a big hope is on former 1860 player Schläffler who plays up front. Behind him are Siedschlag, Kazior and Heider which support him. Nevertheless the best part from Kiel is the defense, they allowed only 30 goals in 38 matches what is a very good number. The defensive line is working very well and they are very hard to beat although they have not much experience there. Only Kohlmann has played high before but the team spirit is very good and allows them to play on a high level.

The team from Munich 1860 had some problems in the past but this season is a disaster. Before the start new Coach Moniz talk from promotion but this was far away from reality. He must leave after a very bad start, next one von Ahlen could also not manage the turnaround and was fired. After U23 Coach Fröhling took over the situation is getting a bit better but not as expected. He collected 18 Points in 13 matches what was enough to end up on Place 16. It was very close till the end but they have the chance to avoid to be relegated in these two games. If you take a look at some of the last games you can see that the luck was on their side like against Nürnberg or on last Round where Aue played only 2-2.

The personal situation is better as one week ago. With Kagelmacher returns a important player after suspension and replace youngster Kovac who played against KSC but could not convince much. All the other positions remain unchanged in defense, also in central midfield with Weigl and Stahl. In offensive there can be a few changes because with Rama is an important and dangerous player back from suspension. He can be an option for the starting lineup also youngster Wolf, both are alternatives to Wittek and Simon. It is absolutely needed because the offensive play was not exists against KSC and needs some fresh power. Up front they have not much available, all Spain players are not in the squad anyway and Rodri and Hain could not convince in the past what allow long injured Okotie to start here. They hope for his goals but he is far away from good after his injury. He search for his form but he has some good memories on Kiel because he scored twice in Cup against them.   

Hamburger SV - Karlsruher SC

Still one Place left in 1.Bundesliga. For this last Place fight Hamburger SV and Karlsruher SC. This is the first game which will be played in Hamburg today while some days later KSC has home advantage. It is the same scenario as last Season for Hamburg where they saved them with two draws (0-0 and 1-1) against Greuther Fürth. It was only due to the away goal that they could avoid relegation. They were totally outplayed in first game at home but Fürth was not able to take advantage despite big opportunities to score. Nevertheless Hamburg’s players know the situation already but they can not sit back and relax. It is a do or die game and the nerves can be very important here. Of course Karlsruher has nothing to lose and they come to Hamburg with a lot of self confidence anyway. They was already in 3.Bundesliga for one year but after 2013/14 they are back in 2.Bundesliga and they did a good job so far. They are a team with an absolutely uptrend and they want to celebrate the comeback into 1.Bundesliga after 6 years absent now. Overall the last play off matches between 1.Bundesliga and 2.Bundesliga speaks clear for the 1.BL.

It was already very close for Hamburg but they made the right chance and their fourth Coach this Season Labbadia has found the right words and tricks to motivate this weak team. He came 6 Rounds before the Season ends and he managed to collect 10 Points what brought them on 16. Place. This was only due to their win against Schalke and some of their rivals lose. Maybe this time they come with a better mood in the two games above all after recent success. A big difference to last season, they came into these important two games with 5 defeats in a row.

Some important decisions must be made by Labbadia because with Van der Vaart is a player back from suspension but he has not the best form lately but is important for some standard actions. Against Schalke Diaz played well and can replace him well again this time. Apart from Kacar is the same lineup expected from Saturday. But some problems arrived because with Lassoga and Olic are two players doubtful. Both have slight problems but if he must pass it is not the best sign above all in offensive the alternatives are less. With Rudnevs is the first replacement sure out while all the other players like Jiracek, Janssen, Behrami and Drobny are all not available too.

Till Round 31 KSC was unbeaten 2015 but with the lose in Aue and the following match against rival Darmstadt all their promotion hopes seems gone but they managed a good comeback with two wins in the last two Rounds what brought them in this situation. If they had continued the way they are sure direct promoted but they have to go this way now. Nevertheless the chance exists for promotion and they want to take it, of course.

It is like always for KSC this season, they have squad problems. Coach Kauczinski has to replace some despite two guys are back from suspension (Yabo and Peitz) and can help the team maybe. Compared to the last game it is not sure if these three players can play. DEF Gordon is doubtful but he has the best chance to play, if not, Stoll is the first alternative. MID Yamada is not able to train and he is out for sure, he will be replaced by Yabo who takes the central offensive position in midfield then. The other player who returns with Peitz is on bench and only a sub anyway. The biggest miss can be their best scorer Hennings. He could not train on Tuesday and Wednesday and the situation is not the best for him. This can be that he faces a late test if he can play or not. If he must pass the first option is Micanski.

SV Darmstadt 98 - FC St. Pauli

This it the next match with almost the same scenario. Darmstadt is currently on second Place what means they are directly promoted but they have to do their home work first. A win is necessary if they want to be absolutely sure and if they do not want to look on both KSC and Kaiserslautern. But on the other side St. Pauli is fighting against relegation and they are only 1 Points ahead of FSV and 2 of Aue. This means that they need a result here above all if they do not want to look on other teams. If they do not want to get in trouble or must play relegation play off they need a win here too. With a draw they can fall down to place 16, nothing more.

The new promoted team from Darmstadt can hope for the next surprise this season again. They are very close and they can do the last step today. They had already a Matchpoint last weekend against Fürth but they could not use it and lost 0-1 there. But hold all in their own hands again. They had some weak weeks but turn things around and won against both rival Lautern and KSC in recent weeks. This put them back big in promotion race.
The team from Coach Schuster knows the situation and they can handle the pressure as they did already almost one year ago if they come to Bielefeld and no known has put a cent on them but they managed the comeback and they turn this encounter completely. This time it is the next final for them and they can not count on important Bregerie who is suspended today. His replacement is Gorka who replaced Sulu some weeks ago very well. So it should not be a big change anyway. All expect the same lineup as against Fürth, the only change can be maybe up front when Stroh-Engel move back into the starting lineup while König must on bench then.

St. Pauli coming to Darmstadt with good self confidence and moral. They were down but they did a very good job and won 5 of their last 7 what brings them in a good position but this is not enough. They must go all in for the last game if they do not want to get in play off matches. Of course it depends also on the result from all other teams who are involved on the bottom.
The Mission from Coach Lienen is to hold St. Pauli on track and they must look forward and go into the final match with all they have available. Before the match in Kaiserslautern said Coach Lienen: Normally we have not chance here but they won 2-0 in the end. The form is there, for sure. He counts on the same lineup he trusts in the past weeks already. The only change is Alushi who is back from suspension and replace Rzatkowski. A big question mark stands behind captain Gonther who was out early against Bochum with some muscle problems and he could not train this week. They decide short before the match if he can play or not. If Gonther must pass, Ziereis is the first alternative for him.

Karlsruher SC - 1860 München

We have tow teams with different situations. First KSC is big involved in promotion battle, with a win they can secure third place for sure and can hope on the other side if Darmstadt fail that they get promoted immediately. On the other side 1860 is fighting against relegation, they have all in their hand, what a look on the table show. Nevertheless they are even with FSV Frankfurt and only 1 Point ahead of Aue. Of course they have the better goal difference but they must try to win this if they do not want to give this out of their hands and must look on both others.

The year 2015 was good for KSC, they did really well from Round 19 to Round 30 but in the past they could not hold their level high and with to defeats in a row they gave a lot away. Nevertheless they are in the battle for promotion with Darmstadt and Kaiserslautern. With the win last weekend in Braunschweig they brought them back in a good position but they must go the last step today what is a hard one anyway. 

All in all they need a win here to be absolutely sure because with Kaiserslautern in their back what has normally an easy match against Champion Ingolstadt who celebrated almost all week now. But the squad situation is not the best before this encounter. Coach Kauczinski miss with Kempe and Traut both long term injured also central back Mauersberger injured and key midfield player Yabo and Peitz suspended. Both can play in central midfield and they are less of options there now. Additional they have with Krebs and Yamada two guys not 100% ready as both are facing slight injuries. Both are doubtful for this game but maybe they bring them ready because of this important game today. If both can play Krebs and Meffert playing the central position in midfield while Yamada plays on the wing and rotate with Nazarov in the central offensive position. The defensive row is completely the same from last weekend. Also top scorer Hennings is ready up front and one of the big hopes for KSC today. 

This is one of their most important games above all for their club history. With 10 Points out of 5 games has 1860 done well and they put them in a good position right now. They have all in their own hands but they have to win if they want to be absolutely sure that they fall now down and become relegated what is the worst case for them anyway. For 1860 it is all up from their form as they had good games but also very weak games in the past above all the home game against Union 0-3 was a big disaster. If they win they do this very close, therefore this one can be stretched.

The situation is not the best at 1860 squad wise, they miss a lot of players today. The half defensive line is not available today. With Kagelmacher and Rama they miss two guys suspended while Vallori face a huge knee injury. Coach Fröhling must build up a new defensive line a he trust there Bülow in central back and Angha on the back wing. Both have played several times already and this maybe should not the biggest problem but in such a important match so many changes it is not the best sign. Before they travel to Karlsruher all the plans from Coach are invalid because Angha got ill and they have a big problem on the back wing now. With Angha, Kagelmacher and Volz are all players for this position out now. But what should they do, they must bring all their power on the pitch and this is what counts today. This put Kovac from second team U23 in the starting lineup today. He gives his debut today. The offensive power should bring Vollmann (replace Rama), Wittek and Simon. Up front is a changes possible because Rodri was really bad against Nürnberg and the alternatives are back with Hain and Okotie.

Bayern München - FSV Mainz 05

Statistic:

- Augsburg and Gladbach collected both 27 Points in the first 17 matches.
- But Augsburg played their weakest second half of the season with only 19 Points.
- Nevertheless they are coming out with their best result in BL history so far (EL spot).
- Never before allowed Gladbach so less goals as in this season (23).
- Gladbach has a very bad average with only 0,86 Points against Augsburg.

1.Bundesliga Update I

Borussia Dortmund - Werder Bremen

Statistic:

- Dortmund won 6 of their last 7 games against Werder Bremen by 17-4 goals.
- The first game this season ends with a success for Bremen with 2-1.
- Dortmund won 3 of their 4 games on the last Round in the past.
- Only 2012/13 they lost in their own stadium to Hoffenheim 1-2 who saved them with this result.
- Dortmund played two times against Bremen at Round 34, both matches won they.
- Bremen won only 2 from their last 9 BL games (2-4-3).
- Only Paderborn conceded more goals (63) as Bremen (62).
- From these 62 goals against them were 38 on the road.


1.FC Köln - VfL Wolfsburg

- But Cologne has big problems to score, they are goalless in 5 of their last 9 games.
- Only Hamburg (23) and Paderborn (30) has a weaker offense as they have this season.
- In their last 9 BL games they scored only 7 goals what is not the best outcome but they are save.
- Cologne has one of the best defensive lines, they kept 13 times a clean sheet already.


Eintracht Frankfurt - Bayer Leverkusen

Statistic:

- Goals are coming for sure in this encounter because the average is 3,1 goals / game.
- Leverkusen scored 97 goals against Frankfurt, they need still 3 for 100 !!
- Frankfurt is unbeaten since 10 home games (6-4-0), 2000 they managed 15 games without a lose.
- The last home defeat was in November last year to Bayern 0-4.
- 29 of their 40 Points collected Frankfurt in their Arena, with 1 win more they have a new record.
- Leverkusen lost only 1 of the last 6 road games (3-2-1).
- This was last game in Gladbach where they dominated long time but lost in the end 0-3.
- It was also the only game from last 9 in which Leverkusen could not score away from home .
- The game in Berlin end with 0-0 and this was the 5th time from the last 6 where Frankfurt was goalless.
- Since their top striker Meier (19 goals) is injured they scored only against Hoffenheim 3-1.

1860 München - 1.FC Nürnberg

The derby in the „Allianz Arena“ between 1860 Munich and 1.FC Nürnberg is one of the most important games in club history for 1860 today. They are on Place 17. right now and only two Rounds left. This means that they must win this one to be in the race fort he last matchday to avoid relegation. If they must go down it would be the biggest worst case for them. The opponent from Nürnberg comes to Munich without any pressure, their season is gone and they play for nothing. It was a disappointing one but nevertheless they are safe and can hurt 1860 here. Also they come with 10.000 supporters to Munich.

The last home games from 1860 in the big Arena were watched from only 20.000 fans but this time the stadium is maybe sold out with 70.000. This can be additional pressure for the players because they do not know this maybe. It is more as questionable how the players react on the huge crowd today. Moreover the home games were not much successful for them anyway. In 16 home games they got only 13 Points what brought them in such a bad situation. If they lose this game today, the are almost relegated.

Coach Fröhling has to do a lot of work and he has to changes a lot too. Their top striker Okotie is not available due to suspension but he was not fit 100% after his long injury time anyway. The next one with Hain was very hopeful that he can play but after saturday it is clear that he must pass. Despite two strikers already out he must find the next one, Rodri can be the man for that today. Behind him he can field a midfield with 3 offensive guys like Rama, Wolf and Adlung. If Adlung move to offenisve a play in defensive midfield is open and this can play Stahl who is back again. He plays then beside Weigl.

All from team Nürnberg talk about this game and they want to be a hard opponent. They take this game very serious and this is very good to give a sign to all the other teams in the league. The form is good and they got 7 Points from the last 3 games and this must be continued.

The offensive must be build new compared to the game against Braunschweig. With Burgstaller is a guy suspended today while Sylvestr returns from suspension what is a 1 to 1 change and not a lot of problems to Weiler anyway. A problem is Kerk so far who has some problmes, if he is not available Koch can move into the team and replace him. The defensive line will be unchanged because of less alternatives. Both Mössmer and Polak are not available longer but with only two matches to play it should be not the biggest problem in the end.

Erzgebirge Aue - 1.FC Kaiserslautern

Both team have to play for something here. Aue has a lot to do to avoid releagation while Kaiserslautern had all in their hand but gave this away last weekend with the lose to St. Pauli. They need help from other teams to get back on 2nd place and manage the direct promotion. Both teams Aue 16. And Kaiserslautern 3. are on places which makes them not very happy. They want to climb up at least one but for this they should win both last games. Therefore this can be a very interesting one.

Aue is in good shape and they won 4 of their last 6 games what put them in this position they are now. Coach Stipic was very pleased with the results lately and he wants to field the same lineup who won twice recently. All guys are ready, only Novikovas has to pass what means that Coach Stipic has a lot to choose and a lot to choose in running too. With Alibaz and Kortzorg they have to creative players while Klingbeil and Paulus are really defenisve specialists. With Mugosa they have a player in their rows who comes form Kaiserslautern on loan and he wants to bring in all to hold them in 2.Bundesliga. In this case he has to hurt his former club here. The form is there as he scored 3 goals in the last 2 games.

After two defeats in a row Kaiserslautern fall down but all are very positive and they are very happy to be in the race for promotion. They want to try all to get back on 2nd place. The motivation is there and the team is working hard for this aim under the week. Nevertheless they big problems in front of the goal.

The last game was not the best and it is very possible that Coach Runjaic changes a lot today. The first one is maybe in goal, Sippel returns and replace Müller there. In defensive Heubach is back and he can replace weak Heintz. The offenisve part is absolutely less an alternatives because with Matmour and Gaus are two creative players injured while Stöger is suspended today. This is not the best time as mentioned the offenisve is the biggest problem right now above all scoring. With Hofmann can play a tall guy in the box while Zoller comes over the wing and play also beside Hofmann in some periods of the game. Whatever it is needed. Next big problem is maybe that they never could win in Aue !!!

The season is not over for Wolfsburg they have still to play for second place. According to the last results they lost a bit to third Gladbach. Above all the Cup Final in Berlin against Dortmund, this can be a warm up for both. The next big thing is to bring Bas Dost in as best Goalgetter of the league. Coach Hecking and also the team said that he wants to bring him in good position and try to assist him in the last two games. After one of the weakest first half of the season Dortmund is bouncing back a bit and they have the chance for an international spot again. They brought them in a good position in the last games already and they want to try to get the job done. If on the normal way, like league where they only 3 Points back to 6 Place or Cup Final. The chances are there and Coach Klopp wants to leave Dortmund with a good feeling and something in hand he can remember maybe. They are doing by far better as to the end of last year although they have always some injured players to replace. With Bender and Kehl they have to guys in central midfield doubtful again while Reus is back in team training. If they want to reach the international spot over the league they have to continue they style of play from recent weeks. The offensive is doing well and with Reus back they can get an additional boost.

Both Coaches said that they do not want to rest players or play with a B-Team according to the Cup Final ahead in two weeks. Therefore I am very keen that this can be an interesting encounter who can be very open if the first goal comes. Both teams have to play for here and they can not sit back. Goals are there for sure !!!

We spoke a lot about Bremen this season and they did use a great favor this season as well with some nice wins. Once again we want to trust them maybe in this encounter. Coach Skripnik is the right man  on the right place at the moment. He gave Bremen back a lot of self confidence, motivation, moral and sprit even all what a team needs for success. All the players are doing a great job so far and they are trying to improve form week to week. The outcome is very good, from a relegation candidate up to a team who have the chance for a European Spot this season what happened for long time here. No one is talking about the EL but they hope or dream from. The defensive line is a bit less of alternatives as with Galvez, Garcia and Fritz they have 3 players not ready here but with Prödl returns one central back who was ill last weekend. The offensive looks great and all their weapons are ready. Coach Skripnik can choose from a lot there and maybe he changes a bit and bring fresh and young guns in with Öztunali and Bartels. Above all Bartels who was not ready in Hannover can make the difference in their offensive play above all in counter attacks. His quickness is needed and he bring both Di Santo and Selke in good positions maybe.

We must not talk a lot from Gladbach, they play a very good season and they did their job in the last games very well. They are high flying at the moment and it looks like their run never ends. But let's take a look at some games. From the last 7 games they won 6 !!! What is incredible, most of them at home because they have a run there with 9 wins in a row, away from home they have their problems. But against which opponents they have won? Bayern Munich, 1899 Hoffenheim, Dortmund, VfL Wolfsburg, Hertha BSC and Leverkusen. What have all these teams together? Of course they do not play defensive minded, they play offensive and they want to control the game what speaks a lot for Gladbach. If you watched all these games, it was always the same. Gladbach maybe took the lead early and play a huge defensive system after that. Their opponent must open and they can come out with their fast and amazing counter attacks above all Hermann is one of the key players here. Against Hertha they won of course but they did hard although Hertha is not such an offensive minded team from all mentioned above. Against Frankfurt they got only a draw and this was not their best play anyway there. This time they have to come out and try to take part in the game what is not their biggest strength right now. They are much better if they can play in this from Favre excellent developed system. They have the players for this .... like Hahn, Hermann, Traore, Kruse, Johnson, Hazard and Raffael.

Many think the run from Goldbach continues but I am not sure anyway. We talked a lot about this match and we think that this can be a hard match for them and if you win only 5 games from 45 in Bremen it is an absolutely hard place for them. The HC is moving more and more. We are sure that this match is close above all both have to play here for something, Bremen for EL and Gladbach for 2nd place. The HC +1 is very tasty and we try this as we think the style of Bremen is not what Gladbach like and need.
