Bayer Leverkusen - Fortuna Düsseldorf

Very hard to beat, keeper Giefer from Düsseldorf

This is an encounter where both teams played in Cup under the week and both andvance after Extre time. Seems no advantage for one side fitness wise. They should be all a bit tired maybe or it need some time if their legs are fresh enough, as we saw yesterday at Hannover where they need some minutes but after that they managed their job.

Ok Bayer Leverkusen managed some nice wins in the past, they won in EL 4-0 away from home and also after 23 years without any win in Munich they won there 2-1. Sure a bit lucky in the end but win is win and this count. In Cup against 3rd league team Bielefeld they were the better team but it was very hard for there and advanced only in Extra time. The other side of them is that they are not able to keep this level for a long time and they very unstable from time to time. Above all at home it was not much from Bayer in the past matches. They dominated the beginning of the match against Mainz but in 2nd half they were far away from their normal level and was very lucky in the end to get a draw. I know, some of you think that this win in Munich said more about the strength of this team but I am a bit different opinion. Leverkusen has much problems if they must make the match and can not go for their counter style of play with open space for Schürle, Castro, Kießling. Exatly this, what they did in Munich, do Düsseldorf today. They are defending very deep and they have to show if they can break through the wall. I doubt, that it can be so easy for them. With Bellarabi, Leno, Kadlec they miss three players from starting lineup normally.

Fortuna Düsseldorf played a good season so far. They are very hard to beat above all away from home where they conceded only one single goal so far but scored 4. They play a very defensive style and they are hard working every match. Additional the win in Cup gave them self confidence and motivation back after 2 hard loses at home against Bayern 0-5 and Wolfsburg 1-4. After this matches Coach Meier takes more focuse on the defensive play again and they did it already very well again against Gladbach 0-0 after 90. mins in Cup. They allowed not many chances for their opponent and I think they do it so to Leverkusen. With Fink suspended, Bruno Soares and Malezas are 3 players out for Fortuna.

All in all I can not understand such a big move on the market. It is not a match like Bayern – Leverkusen where they have many space for their counters, this is a different one. They have to push and Fortuna defends and go for counter. Leverkusen was not able in the past against such playing teams to score much or get many. They are to unflexible against teams like this.

1899 Hoffenheim - FC Schalke 04

Hope for a big fight from Hoffenheim !!!

Ok sure, I wrote often in the past from the problems Hoffenheim had but I think I give them a try today. They are a bit better at home in their own stadium and after many talks the players know now what the situation is. They have to work as a team on the pitch and give all for the team. Against Fürth they were a bit unlucky in the end as they got the equalizer in last second but sooner or later it turns for them, maybe today. Player wise they are a good team but they miss to show it so far. Their only imp. missings are Salihovic with suspension and Vukcevic after accident.

The bavaria hunters from Schalke 04 wants the next win and for this coach Stevens rested a lot of players under the week in Cup against Sandhausen where they won easy 3-0. The only problem after so many matches the players lost their rythmn. According to their style they play saturday, wednesday and now rested. I think they need some minutes that they are back in business. This assessment is only by me but it can happen for sure. Schalke should have all imp. players ready, only Höger is out who had some minutes in the past.

Sure normally is this a clear thing for Schalke but they always had problems there in the past and never won at Hoffenheim since they are in BL. Maybe in this one it can happen a surprise today. I hope so.

Borussia Dortmund - VfB Stuttgart

What a bad start for Dortmund, maybe their concentration was to much on CL and they lost some percent for the league. But all should be good now according to their last results they are on a good way. They won against Real Madrid, at Freiburg and at Aalen under the week their Cup match. Against Aalen coach Klopp rested some players for the upcoming matches. But they should return against Stuttgart into the starting lineup. However at home they are very strong, lost only to big rival Schalke 04 but the other matches are all won very easy and they scored very well too. I think that no one can stop Reus, Götze, Lewandowski, only they themself. Out for them are only Kuba and Bender while Owomoyela is long term injured and anyway no option for Klopp in the past.

VfB Stuttgart run out a very easy win against Pauli 3-0, it was decided at half time already. Also they stopped Eintracht Frankfurt where they scored a late winner. They are on track more or less maybe. Success help to put their problems behind and get more focused and with more self confidence on upcoming matches. They have huge injury problems and with only 16 players available coach Labbadia can not change a lot. They miss with Torun, Cacau, Didavi, Audel, Boka and Bah (no option anymore under Labbadia)  a lot. Back wing Sakai has also some problems and was rested against Pauli, Holzhauser too. For Sakai maybe plays young Rüdiger as he did in Cup already, also defender Tasci is doubtful, in this case Maza take the place beside Niedermeier.

It is very hard not to see any goals in this encounter, they producing much in the past and it is sure that Stuttgart gets more trouble as against St. Pauli .... and with many matches in their legs it could be that they make more mistakes and Dortmund is one of the teams in this league who can take advantage about.

MSV Duisburg - FSV Frankfurt

Zebras at the bottom of the table and they knocked out of the Cup under the week against 3rd league team from KSC. They lost 0-1 in an absolutely boring match, both sides created not much and also were far away to score normally, the only goal was after a free kick in the end of the match. At their league matches MSV showed a small uptrend and they were able to score in 3 from the last 4 matches. This give a little bit more hope at the moment because they are not known as a high scoring team at the moment. But most of their players upfront are back after injury and need some matches but they are on a good way. If they want to leave the bottom zone they have to risk some and maybe play more offensive as they do or did in other games. They chances is there, because with a win they overcome 4 teams. I think they know this and they want to push a lot at beginning.

Also FSV Frankfurt knocked out from Cup but they lost to VfL Wolfsburg who are on a better way now after Magath is fired. They played solid there but had no chance anyway. They can concentrate on the league now and they are on a good position at the moment. They collected a lot of points so far and after three matches without a win they won against Jahn Regensburg with 10 men 3-1. With Schlicke and Gledson they miss both central defenders. Also Yelen, Gaus, and Tosunoglu are injured, sure they are away longer so far but the situation is better as in some other matches.

I like the goals here, because both teams played cup matches and both should be a bit tired in the end and in this case some mistakes will come for sure and open this for some goals anyway.

Eintracht Braunschweig - SV Sandhausen

Last weekend we oppose Eintracht Braunschweig in order to their great home stats from 5-0-0, because sooner or later every team failed. We were right with and they got only a 1-1 draw. They were the much weaker side in this encounter against giant and promotion candidate Hertha BSC Berlin. Berlin created much more and was the much dangerous side here but had not the luck on their side to win this one. Also against SC Freiburg under the week they knocked out from Cup and lost very easy 0-2. This was maybe the mistake of the Eintracht coach because he changed some in his squad. I do not think that he does the same mistake against bottom team from Sandhausen. They should return to their normal style of play and also to their normal starting eleven. The only blow should be the injury from defender Correija who got injured against Freiburg and is not available while Kluft, Henn, Kratz and Petersch are long term injured. The others are ready and Coach Lieberknecht count on Davari, Boland and Kumbela again after they were only on bench in Cup. Ecactly after two not so good matches they should be motivated enough to get back on track and also their excellent supporters help a lot too. Additional big home strength, good offensive and with 2 goals conceded their defensive is one of the best in 2.BL. Moreover they won against bottom teams like Bochum and Duisburg very easy at home.

Sandhausen hosts Schalke 04 at Veltins Arena and at the beginning it looks like that they are only to visiting the great Arena. They played very bad and with no self confidence. It seems to huge was their respect from Schalke and the stadium and their supporters. After some minutes the match was decided after Schalke 04 took the lead and in the following minutes Sandhausen did not find the way to a dangerous attempt infront of Schalke’s goal. They provided the same harmless performance against bottom team MSV Duisburg at home, and they lost also deserved 0-2. In the whole 90 minutes they had only 2-3 dangerous attempts nothing more, it is much to less for a home team and also if you need to collect points. Weeks ago they had problems with many injured players, some of them are back and on the way back but their play remain static. They conceded a lot away from home and scored only 3 goals so far in their 5 away matches. All in all a lot to do but to many problems, what should coach Dais force? Working on offensive or on defensive .... maybe he wants both but with less time according to their shedule.

Jahn Regensburg - SC Paderborn

After a good start into new season Jahn Regensburg is back in relegation trouble and as many experts said that they have to fight until the end of the season but with an unknown finish so far. Also their performances were not the best in the past three matches where they lost all. Against Aue 1-3 it was deserved and they had no real chance but against Köln they was 2-0 up and lost within 5-7 minutes because of some mistakes from keeper Hofmann and so on they conceded 3. Moreover they played almost 60 minutes with one man more against FSV Frankurt but lost 1-3. Many problems at the moment for Jahn Regensburg and also with these big lose against Köln they are more a bit down as they want to admit. Their biggest problems are their defensive where their best player and captain Laurito got injured, he was the head of the defensive and no one can replace him so far. A big miss anyway for Regensburg because he is not back so quick. The next one should be the offensive, the only dangerous striker is Sembolo and he is always alone upfront, ok, he did a great job so far and scored already 5 goals but it is to less. They creating good opportunities but waste with it or missed it feeble like Djuricin did against Köln. The whole team is not dangerous enough and in this case they are not able to win matches, or if they concede they get very nervous as we saw against Köln. It is very hard to trust them at the moment and with all their problems they have to work hard to get out of these. In addition I read that keeper Hofmann and left back Rahn could not train so far and they face a late test on matchday. If both are out, it could be hard to replace them equal.

Paderborn is unbeaten in their past three matches and they scored in all their  six away matches at least one goal. Their defensive worked very well and if they can go over their fast counter attacks they can create always some dangerous situations. They had a lot against Union Berlin above all in the first half but they missed all. In second half they scored a very nice goal and won deserved 1-0. It is very hard to play against Paderborn at the moment, they work well and what is important as team. Some of their young players push a lot and they want to commend herself for higher duties. The only matches they lost away from home so far was against Braunschweig and Cottbus and both with 2-1. As you can see, it is very hard to score against them and not many teams managed it above all twice. I think they have really a chance at Regensburg if they can hold their form and their play like in the past. I doubt that Regensburg can score twice. For this I like the DNB option here on Paderborn very well.

Hertha BSC Berlin - FC Ingolstadt 04

As I wrote already last weekend, Hertha started bad but turn things around and they found their form and system to compete in 2.BL. The aim is clearly stated with returning to 1.BL. They are on the way with huge motivation and self confidence in their bag. All the problems are gone at the moment although they miss some players again here but, however, every new player who came in, did his job very well, and it is not necessary what age the player has. Coach Luhukay work with young talented players and he knows when he can trust them or not. With Niemeyer (suspended) and Ben Hatira (injured) they miss again two imp. players but they have the deepness in their squad to replace them. They was the better side against Braunschweig and pushed a lot but had not the luck on their side although they got a draw in the end but it was even more possible. And at home they are very hard to beat anyway with an excellent record so far. They won 4 in a row now and they are always able to score some goals while they concede not much.

German soccer experts sais it already, that they should keep an eye on FC Ingolstadt this season. They signed some excellent players and if they work as team they can reach a lot this season, also promotion is possible. They showed it already and they are only 2 points behind 3rd place and only 3 points behind 2nd placed team Hertha BSC Berlin. They are unbeaten on the road so far and they are very hard to play additional. They play very well and controlled in defensive and upfront with some excellent players they are always able to score some. But if we take a look at their opponents at the road, they played no top team so far. With 13.Pauli 1-1 (was a bit lucky), 9.Paderborn 3-1, 14.Dresden 1-0, 17.Bochum 1-1, 18.Duisburg 2-0 are only teams from lower position at the moment. Therefore Hertha BSC is a different caliber and a first serious heavy test fort he newly formed team. In this encounter they can prove what they are able to afford. But all in all, sooner or later they suffered their first defeat away and according to their luck sometimes it is possible today.

Bayern München - Bayer Leverkusen

Bayern Munich won all eight league matches so far and showed very good form at the moment. Maybe it is a bit different as to the other season where they had problems in the league but won all in CL. They strength their squad very well and coach Heynckes has much more options now. All positions are occupied twice and let much more to choose. For this it is not such important in my eyes that with Ribery, Martinez, van Buyten and Gomez they miss some players but if we take a look it is only Ribery who is a miss at the moment but his replacment should be huge motivated and showed also that he is able to replace him. Shakiri should be the man here. On the other wing plays Müller every week and he had good performances as well. Double six should be Schweinsteiger and Gustavo. Defensive row maybe can be changed according to Alaba's return. Upfront with Mandzukic anyway.

Bayer Leverkusen showed an average performance against Mainz but set an exclamation point under the week at their EL match with a clear 4-0 win away from home. Some bad news they got from this match because their back wing Kadlec got injured and is out for this match, also Renato Augusto ist not available. Bayer Leverkusen has always problems if they have to play in Munich and they are winless since 23 years there. They said that they do not count to much on stats and they looking forward to the match. But when they stand on the pitch in Allianz Arena or former Olympia Stadium they are harmless and nervous and moreover helpless. They missed often a lot against Bayern.

Both teams with international matches under the week and both had to travel, so no advantage for one side. I rate Bayern Munich as the much better side at the moment and above all at home they are very hard to beat and they push and press a lot. If Leverkusen plays like in the past here, they have no chance.

VfB Stuttgart - Eintracht Frankfurt

Hope for goals, as many matches before !!

VfB Stuttgart with a lot of problems at the moment, they have a very small squad and exactly coach Labbadia miss some imp. players at the moment. And in addition a lot of matches are sheduled. They came from a win last weekend against Hamburg but were a lot weaker in EL against FC Kopenhagen and got only a 0-0. It means that Coach Labbadia has only 16 players left but things are getting worser at the moment. To the long injured list with Cacau, Hoogland, Boka, Audel, Didavi and Bah are not enough because with fresh injuries are sure out Torun while Gentner and Sakai are doubtful.

Not much left for changes, maybe Rüdiger and Kuzmanovic are some options in midfield fort he coach. For some special seasons coach Labbadia changed his system and play only with one player in central midfield, normally all teams play with two. This gives a little bit more opporunities in offense as he works with more offensive midfielder and the only striker upfront Ibisevic.

As I wrote last weekend about Frankfurt, maybe the same again. None of them have expected such a good start and 2nd place one league higher. They build up a very good team and they work very well all together. They are very offensive minded and the wings push a lot where they ingnore sometimes their defensive work. But coach Veh forgives mistakes and let they play as they did in the past. He has almost all players available and with Inui, Occean, Aigner, Meier they have a lot to offer. They are scoring for free at the moment and they are rolling, with huge self confidence and motivation they are for sure a very hard nut.

Stuttgart with some problems against a team with huge form and offensive minded, this speaks for Goals.

Union Berlin - SC Paderborn

Mattuschka's free kicks are very dangerous !!

As I wrote already last weekend, Union’s form showed a clear uptrend in recent weeks after a medicore start into the season. They have huge self confidence now with an 5 matches unbeaten run in their bags and they won the last 3 matches at „Alten Försterei“ with a goal difference from 6-2. Also they welcome back defender Schönheim after suspension and miss only long term injured Kopplin, Gallegos and Parensen.

Maybe this gives coach Neuhaus more option in defensive because he was not very pleased about his defensive in the last match against FSV Frankfurt. Almost 70 minutes they were one man more on the field but they play to slow and also made some mistakes in opening play. But this was not all, the offensive waste a lot with their opportunities and in this case they had to tremble until the end. If they had used only one of their big chances it would have been a lot easier for them. But all in all they were able to create some and this gives them a lot of hope for today’s match too.

SC Paderborn neigbour from Union on table with 12 points they are only separately because of goal difference. Paderborn is an average team but fights a lot and they are able to score and create some what helps a lot above all their offensive with Brückner, Kempe, Yilmaz and Hofmann are always good for some goals. The next weapon are the free kicks from Meha who are very dangerous. Away from home they can go for counter attacks where are they very good over their quick players. As I saw that Union gives a lot of space and with some dangerous actions in defensive Paderborn can hurt Union very well. With Lange, Pallonios, Poljanec are 3 players injured while Zeitz is suspended.

I like the matchup here and I like the goals in this encounter. Both teams are able to score as  described above. And I do not think that Union waste so much as last sunday, not every week, sorry.

FSV Mainz 05 - 1899 Hoffenheim

FSV Mainz 05 started not so well but are on a good way now. They managed some wins and they are only one point behind 4th place. At home they are strong enough to beat every opponent in this league. Coach Tuchel changes always a lot on tactic, system and players but players know him very well and they know also what he wants to tell. So in this case I think not to much problems for them overall. In their defense row maybe Svensson move to the bench and Kirchhoff gets a chance but it is not comfirmed yet. The other positions maybe are the same according to their very good match against Leverkusen.

1899 Hoffenheim with many problems at the beginning, then they are a bit better but in the past matches they showed the same as to beginning. Above all their defensive is very unstable and conceded in 3 from 4 matches and always 2 goals or more. If their 1st keeper Wiese was injured they won matches and with him they never won so far this season. Wiese is back and they got only a draw against Fürth and also against Mainz he stands in goal. Moreover their imp. midfielder Salihovic is suspended and Vukcevic after his accident in hospital. While Weis, Jaissle and Gregoritsch are all at U23.

As I wrote already Hoffenheim has some problems after the accident from Vukicevic, it was not easy for them mental wise and also with the other problems in their team, maybe scoring, defensive and so on they have a lot of problems and they can only solve one after the other.

I think Mainz has some advantage here mentally wise and also the better self confidence to win this, Hoffenheim with problems and also with the rabbit punch in injury time against Fürth last week. For me home win.

SC Freiburg - Borussia Dortmund

The team from coach Streich is in good shape at the moment and without any worries. They played very well in the past weeks and managed some wins. But what confuse me is more that they scored already 10 goals at home. Freiburg is more known as a low scoring team but maybe they have find some way this season now. Overall they are always a tuff opponent to play and if Dortmund lost to much of their power against Real Madrid sure, Freiburg take advantage. Some players are not at 100% because of slight injuries and if Ginter is not available Höhn can replace him, also Sorg can be replaced by Hedenstad or Schmid takes Sorg’s position and Flum plays on the right wing and so on. All are possible but I think they bring a very good and motivated eleven on the pitch.

What is going on in Dortmund, last season they knocked out from CL very easy and played really great in Bundesliga but this season it is more different. It means that they want to show some of the experts that they are able to play on international level. Those which has criticized them last season have now some other point of attack. The only good thing should be that they take huge motivation and self confidence out of the win against giant Real Madrid. This can push a lot for Bundesliga matches and they want the first win this season away from home, after 3 draws and 1 lose they are focused to get the important one. Their defensive looked a bit unstable so far this season but on the other side they are always able to score with such players like Reus, Götze (doubtful), Lewandowski. Although they miss imp. midfielder Kuba they should be able to get back on track and also score some goals.

I expect some goals in this encounter because both defensive are not the best at the moment and the offensive are always able for some finish from both sides.

Eintracht Braunschweig - Hertha BSC Berlin

High flying Eintracht Braunschweig are unbeaten this season in 10 matches and they had an incredible run so far. From this 10 matches they won eight and draw two times and with 18-3 goals they are top at the moment. At home they keep a clean sheet so far with 5-0-0 and 10-1 goals but it was not so easy and they had some luck in the past matches as well. Against Bochum there was a little confused, especially after the first goal from Braunschweig that Bochum saw as irregular. But the referee count this goal and Braunschweig took the lead and if they are up it is always hard to overcome them and they can play more relaxed on go for their fast counter attacks. Also last match against Dresden it was some advantage for them .... because refree send off 2 players with red card from Dynamo and in the end Braunschweig won easy. Sure they worked hard for their success but sooner or later this or their luck ends. Also their long run without losing a point at home come sooner or later to an end. For this match they miss midfielder Kratz who was in good shape and imp. for them.

Very bad start for Hertha BSC Berlin into the season but the things were clear. They changed their coach, also some players and their system as well. But match after match coach Luhukay has found the right tactic and also words to motivated his players and could make his system all players clearly. They are on a good way and run now and they know that they are able to beat everyone in this league because they are strong enough anyway. Although they had and have some problems in defensive with injured players they won their last two matches without conceding a single goal. They keep both times a clean sheet and the young players in defensive fell the confident from the coach. This give them a lot of self confidence and motivation that they work very hard and well. Again they miss Ben Hatira, Bastians, Beichler, Franz, Lasogga, Janker, Kobiashvili and Radjabali-Fardi.

This is more a bet against Braunschweig’s run at home as against them. Sooner or later they lose some points and I think this is the right opponent and it would be not so easy for them. Luck is also over and Hertha gets at least a draw, I am confident.

1.FC Nürnberg - FC Augsburg

Amsif gets the place in goal against Nürnberg !!

Nürnberg started very well into the season and got 7 points from the first three matches but after some big mistakes in their defensive row where many players are involved like Nilsson and Antonio they are in a huge downtrend or maybe in a bad period at the moment. They lost 4 in a row now and played not to good, also their moral is not the best and self confidence anyway. Coach Hecking had a lot to do at national break to bring his team back on track. He said that they should not bring often such performances as against Hannover, Stuttgart or Freiburg because in this case it would be very hard to get points. He wants that all players work together and not as the only one on the pitch. He mentioned that his team needs a successful match to get their self confidence back and maybe can play more relaxed at at the moment where the pressure is overall. Also the offensive worked not well and they score not much moreover they waste.

Against Augsburg they want to play compact and take some pressure on their opponent, they are unbeaten against them and maybe it ist the right team to face at the right time. With four loses in a row I think that they are able to get here something above all they never lose five in a row with Hecking as coach.

After a great last season Augsburg level is set a bit to high from some and the team can’t hold the pressure and started very bad. But after the first win against Bremen before the break many  breathe deeply and looking forward to the next matches. Coach Weinzierl has a lot to do because it is not all fine in the team and around the club. But anyway with the first win in the bag they can work a bit more relaxed as before. Their focuse should be on defense and offense because they scored only 5 and conceded still 11 and away with 1-5 very weak so far.

All in all both teams are not known as the scoring maschines of the Bundesliga and both with less goals. Nürnberg overall 7-14 (2-5 at home) and Augsburg with 5-11 (1-5 away) and additional this encounter produce not a lot of goals as the last four meetings showed. (1-0 / 0-0 and 1-0 / 2-0) was Augsburg never able to score a single goal against Nürnberg. All in all I expect a very close game with less goals and in this case UNDER should be the best option here. 

Union Berlin - FSV Frankfurt

With huge self confidence and optimism starts Union Berlin today’s prepairing against FSV Frankfurt. After a medicore start into the season their form in recent weeks showed a clear uptrend. In four matches are the „Eisernen“ unbeaten at their „Alten Försterei“ stadium and managed two home wins in a row. But this is not enough because they face their lovely opponent FSV Frankfurt who is always very welcome and lost all hree previous encounter there with scoring only a single goal.

In addition to the suspended player Schönheim (with red card) only lacks the long term injured Kopplin, Gallegos and Parensen. Eintracht Frankfurt - Hannover 96

Newcomer Eintracht Frankfurt plays a very good season so far. No one expect them so strong but it looks that they have a very good team building and they work very well together. Coach Veh mentioned that he can play only offensive with this players and according to this they score a lot but conceded also some. Above all at home it is always spectacle for their supporters with many goals. Coach Veh can choose from almost all and he has his weapons available with Inui, Occean, Aigner, Meier and so on. These guys have huge potential above all in offensive while on the other side they work not so well against the ball. For this reason they conceded in all matches at home so far. I expect the same against Hannover because this team is always offensive minded and as Coach Veh announced he won’t change this.

Hannover 96 is one of the top teams according to their results in the past years and they are established under the top 6. Coach Slomka, Manager Schmadtke and Boss Kind build up a very solid team with some great players too. Coach Slomka created a very good and effective tactic, is more a counter attack style but they have success with it. It is also a fast switch from defensive to offensive and the players must react very fast. This can put a lot of pressure on their opponent and they are able to create a lot. They lost their last match against Hamburg with 0-1 but in this derby they were very unlucky. They had absolutely great opportunities to score and it was only thanks to keeper from HSV Adler who saved all. I do not think that they are again without scoring goals as they have to much potential there.

SpVgg Unterhaching - RW Erfurt

SpVgg Unterhaching is one of the big surprise teams this season. No one has expected such a good performance from them. According to some Experts Unterhaching was one of the relegation candidates but showed that they are able to be successful. Less money and only young players and many many other problems were there. They still looking for a Trikot Sponsor, but so far without success. Nevertheless Schromm / Bromm had a good hand and formed a well balanced team where every players is very motivated and fight a lot and also their excellent fitness is an additional advantage. They compensated the sale of playmaker Bigalke to Köln and also some other difficult situations. What should stop them? With one of the best offensive they are always able to score and put a lot of pressure on their opponent. They never give up and try a lot the whole time. With this new mentality of the young players they can reach a lot in Unterhaching this season.     

RW Erfurt started with huge ambitions into the new season. But  the reality was more different because after 6 Rounds they managed only a single point under Coach Emmerling. What happened was clear, Coach was fired and new one Schwartz took over. He came from 1.FC Kaiserslautern Amas where he worked with many young talented players. This should be the future for Erfurt as well but he has to work with the squad which Erfurt has already at the moment. Maybe a few changes follow at winter break but still long time to it. The new coach was successful in his first two matches where he could get 4 points but after the downtrend was the same as under former coach Emmerling. They lost 3 matches in a row without scoring a single goal but conceded nine. After their last lose many of their supporters were very angry and want some changes immediately. Out of fear, the team left the city and went to a trainings camp in Bavaria. He worked very hard there and Coach Schwartz was very pleased about it. Although he mentioned that the fitness from his squad is not the best and also some players have mental problems. This was a slight criticism of the trainings work of former Coach Emmerling. Additonal said some players that they are no team at the moment and many miss their form as well. Moreover some of their imp. Players are out or were out in the past weeks and in this case they are weaker. If their top striker Morabit is available or not is a big questionmark but I think he was out for some weeks now and should not on his best level as well. Also some other maybe returns but if they are fit enough is also questionable. Many many problems at Erfurt anyway whether intern, offensive, defensive and so on.

Jahn Regensburg - 1.FC Köln

Can Regensburg's best Striker Sembolo score again?

While Jahn Regensburg with nine points from their first nine matches at least not completely statisfied, expecially they are above the red zone was at Cologne much more expected. Before the international break they played only 1-1 at home against Dresden and midfielder Bigalke was one of the weakest there, maybe he moves to the bench and Matuschyk probably will put in the team. No alternative however is Hector, who stayed in Cologne and Clemens who is ill also ignored McKenna and Tesse.

VfL Bochum - Hertha BSC Berlin

Things are going to be a bit frustrating in Bochum above all they expected much more from their team but they were not able to use their excellent situations infront of the goal. They played very well and created a lot of good opportunities but what happened is well known. The young team maybe need some time but time is not there if we take a look at the table. This is exactly the situation who no one want from the management, manager, coach and so on. After an average until bad start they are one point above the red zone and the pressure is there now. They have to bring the performance on the pitch and they should immediately use their opportunities to score. With only 5 goals they are at the bottom of this stats. At home with 1-2-2 and 4-5 goals not so bad at all but overall to less. Coach Bergmann has some hope because he gets some players back. With Aydin a long term injured players returns but maybe only on bench, also Delura, Acquistapace and Toski returns into training. This gives Bergmann more options and also maybe more punch infront of the goal. Defender Sinkiewicz is doubtful and face a last test but they hope that he can play while Rzatkowski sit on bench.

Giant Hertha with a very bad start into the season maybe this was because of some changes and new players also new coach who have to know each other a bit better and also the new tactic and system from Coach Luhukay. Overall they get their way and they managed their bad period and showed some uptrend in the past although many problems in their defensive with injured players. This is not solved for the match against Bochum because with Janker, Franz, Bastians, Radjabali-Fardi and Kobiashvili are many players still out. Hubnik is back but it is not confirmed if he stands in starting eleven or first on bench. Absolutely sure is that young defender Brooks gets another match as starter according to his good performance against 1860 Munich and training. Also the other positions should be not changed much as Luhukay mentioned. In this case Sahar, Allagui and Ronny must sit on bench, 3rd one is a doubt according to news as he was ill as I read. 

Overall Hertha is back on track but had some problems away from home this season and they won only a single match from four. Additional their scoring rate is also not the best. It is not an easy match for them and I expect that they get problems. Bochum showed against Kaiserslautern that they are able to be an equal opponent and are hard nut.

Deutschland - Schweden 4:4

Germany dominated the match until 60. minutes and had some great actions in their play but after Sweden scored their first goal, they got shaky legs. Defensive line was more a disaster. But watch self. 

Review H96 - BvB 1-1

Both teams played very well but missed a lot. Also one goal was disallowed for Hannover. But if I compare the whole match it was very close for the OVER. But watch for yourself and I think Diouf missed an incredible empty net. If you see this action maybe some of you would be laughing but after losing this one it is not very laughable.

Review ING - FCK 1-1

All in all I think I was very unlucky here because one goal from Kaiserslautern was disallowed and also Bunjaku and Idrissou missed big opportunities. Normally they should have won this match with 2-0 or maybe 2-1. But as always, if you waste with your chances you concede on the other side. Very disappointing in the end for me.

Hannover 96 - Borussia Dortmund

Hannover is unbeaten since 21 matches at home in their AWD Arena and they want to continue their excellent run today. Champion Borussia Dortmund had also and excellent run but were beaten from Hamburg some weeks ago. Both teams have huge offensive potential and both are able to score, above all Hannover at home are always good for goals according to their excellent counter attackts. On the other side Dortmund’s defensive was not so excellent in the past and showed some weakness. For this encounter goals are expected and I call this more „Match with goal guarantee“. Most of their matches finished with more than 2 goals if these two meet each other at Hannover.

Hannover got some self confidence under the week as they won against Levante 2-1 although they were down to 10 men because Haggui was sent off and also 0-1 behind. They showed huge moral and won in the end deserved. Man of the match or maybe man of the past weeks is new signing Husti who is in incredible form, he scores and assists his team mates very well. Maybe some changes are expected because coach Slomka changes to a more defensive system as against spain opponent Levante. In this case Schmiedebach plays on double six while Schlaudraff move from midfield to striker position. All in all not a big problems because it would bet he same style as in the past matches against Dortmund and they love to play against. Last season they won 2-1.

Average start from Dortmund into the season but they had to integrate some new players in their system and also some imp. left. They did better in the past and what they are able showed they midweeks against Manchester City where they were almost the whole match the much better side and should have won this very easy but wasted with their excellent chances to much. Above all their offensive is one of the best in BL if we compare these excellent players like Götze, Reus, Kuba and Lewandowski. Offense is rolling but defensive with some mistakes this season and coach Klopp said that they are a bit away from their opponent players and they do not the last step they did last season. They want to work on it but time is less with this rythmn. On double six they have to replace Gündogan today who is out. Also DEF Hummels got injured against City and is a doubt but he should be replaced equal with Santana but not decided yet.

I like the matchup and I am sure, this match has goals in them.
