An important match ahead and both stand under huge pressure as a look on the table show. After the results from yesterday Nürnberg fall down to place 17 and this means that they are relegated directly. Ok, they have the same number of Points with Hamburg only the wore goal difference but the other teams are not far away from them. Therefore two important home games ahead of them, today against Frankfurt and a few days laster against Stuttgart. Nevertheless in both encounter they have not the best record but they should try to get the best out of it. But if we compare the lastest performances they were much weaker as in some matches where they lost in first half of the season. They made a lot of mistakes in the past and also the play was not such good. In Hamburg they lost only 1-2 last sunday but they should have lost much higher. It was almost nothing from them in offensive. Coach Verbeek mentioned it already that he never saw such a weak team from him.
The team from Hessen can take their focus now on the league as the EL matches are gone. This can be the key here as they had lost a lot of power in such international matches. They could prepare the whole week for this encounter now and this can give some much more freshness as in the past matches. Nevertheless they lost last weekend very high 1-4 at home to Freiburg but to beginning they played much better and if they had used all their good chances they may be took the lead and also with a higher margin but Freiburg scored with the first shot on traget. They are not so bad and I think that they are able to be maybe the better side here. Moreover they should not lose anyway because with only 3 Points ahead from Nürnberg it can put them in a very bad situation again.
Close encounter where both sides miss a few players, but after what I have seen from both in the past matches I count more on Frankfurt as on Nürnberg at the moment.
