MATCH PREVIEW
MAIN PREDICTION: DRAW
Holstein Kiel’s impressive performances
continue week after week. The league’s second best attack was in scoring mood
again last weekend and they easily saw off Duisburg in a 3-1 win, with the
attacking trio Dominik Drexler, Kevin Schindler and Marvin Ducksch playing a convincing
once again. With five wins, one draw and two defeats they are in third and by
far the best newly promoted team this season.
After kicking the league
campaign off with two wins, one draw and one defeat, Bochum’s euphoria grounded
to a halt earlier this month as they lost two games in a row. Their performances
and results have been too unpredictable lately and this prevents them from
dreaming of a return to Germany’s top flight. Nevertheless they managed to stop
that downtrend with a deserved 2-0 win over Ingolstadt at home on Sunday. This is
bound to give them some of their confidence back ahead of this fixture.
A hard fight is expected
between these two sides and although Holstein Kiel are absolutely in-form I
expect Bochum to hurt them here. Draw.
SECOND PREDICTION: HALF TIME HAD – HOME WIN
Holstein Kiel have scored
11 of their 18 goals in the first half in their eight league matches. Bochum
have netted just four so far away from home and have scored only one of these
in first half on the road. I expect Holstein Kiel to lead after 45 minutes.
HEAD TO HEAD
These teams will meet for
the first time in 2. Bundesliga
