MATCH PREVIEW

MAIN PREDICTION: HOME WIN

Kaiserslautern are running out of time to save their 2. Bundesliga lives. Producing a spirited display at Vonovia Stadium last Friday, they took the lead early in the game but could not hold on until the end, losing 3-2 against in-form Bochum. Michael Frontzeck’s men, who occupy 18thspot, have now picked up five wins, two draws and five defeats of their past 12 2. Bundesliga matches in 2018. The Red Devils look destined for the third tier.

Dresden suffered a crushing 4-0 loss against Holstein Kiel on home turf in their last match, in what was their worst defeat of the season – their second worst, a 3-0 loss, was also suffered by the same opponents in November. Dynamo have now won only one of their last six league matches, with two draws and three defeats. The team are sitting in 15thposition in the table and have a poor goal difference of -9. They have won five, drawn three and lost seven on the road this season.

This is a big match for the home team at Betzenberg and I believe Kaiserslautern are good enough to make home advantage count. I’m backing a narrow victory for the Red Devils this weekend.

SECOND PREDICTION: ODD/EVEN – ODD

Three of Kaiserslautern’s last four wins over Dresden have seen an odd amount of total goals. Have a punt on odd goals to be scored again here.

HEAD TO HEAD
Kaiserslautern have won six of their seven home meetings against Dresden, with the other match ending in a draw. The reverse fixture finished 2-1 in Kaiserslautern’s favour at DDV Arena last November.
