Casting Show

What a funny monday in Regensburg. Manager Gerber, Coach Corrochano and Co. Santelli organized a casting show for 20 players to present their skills and qualities. Manager Gerber said that he has many inquiries from scouts and players. To solve this and go trough the huge list he organizes this casting show for 20 players who made a practice session and after a match 11 against 11 where Jahn Regensburg provided the keepers for both sides with Wiegers 2nd man and U23 Keeper from 2nd team.

Some known names under these 20 players like Milchraum, Uzoma and Pappas who played all for 1860 Munich in former days. And the following nationalities were still in process too like 2 from Brazil, 2 from Croatia, 2 from Africa, 1 from Czech, 1 from Greece. But no many could show his best and were far away from the level they need for 2.Bundesliga to be a boost for Jahn Regensburg and so did not many convince the Manager and Coaches. At the same time Regensburg's manager didn't want to say much about the players and refer of the coming days/weeks. Maybe we know more about them then.

                                                      FC Schalke 04 signed Tranquillo Barnetta

Swiss national player and 27 years old midfielder signed a contract at Schalke. He came from Bayer Leverkusen and got a contract till 30. June 2015.

Schalke Manager Horst Heldt was very pleased about Barnetta signing. He found very nice words about him. Barnetta played from 2004-2012 for Leverkusen and made 194 matches and scored 25 goals. Also 61 matches for Swiss national team.

                                                      Occean signed contract at Frankfurt

Olivier Occean top scorer for Greuther Fürth in 2.Bundesliga last year signed a 3 years contract at Frankfurt. He is 30 years old and was not for free, Frankfurt had to pay for him but it's absolutley secret how much. He scored 17 goals last season and were with Meier and Proschwitz the best scorer.

Additional signed Frankfurt Takashi Inui from VfL Bochum. This contract is also for 3 years and also top secret about the transfer fee.

                                                      Milan Petrzela got a contract at Augsburg

The czech national player Milan Petrzela signed a contract at Augsburg for 3 years. He came from Viktoria Pilsen although more clubs were interested in him but he wants to play in 1.Bundesliga. He played for Czech national team against Russia (1-4) at EM but should arrive on 9. July in Augsburg.

The team from coach Magath start into the preperation for the new season with a goal festival. They won very easy their first friendly match against a lower division team VfL Wittingen 16-0 (7-0). Best scorer was new signing Bas Dost with 4 goals. He came from Heerenven and was best scorer in Ehrendivisie last season. Also successful Patrick Helmes and Yohandry Orozco, both with 3 goals.

Coach Magath was also testing one player from Dukla Banska Bystrica, young 19 years old Slovakian Norbert Gyömber who plays also for national U21. He can show his potential and recommend for future tasks.

New Sport Manager for Bayern Munich

New Sport Manager or New Leader !!

The bomb burst at midday as many news stations came oout with news that Bayern Munich sacked their Manager Christian Nerlinger and present with Matthias Sammer the new Sport Manager. After some time Bayern Munich gave the confirmation. None around in this szene understand such a reaction from them. What are the reasons behind?

Nerlinger worked 4 years for Bayern in this position and was very successful at the beginning where they won the Championship and Cup also at the same season they were in Champions League Final but lost to Inter Mailand. One season later he signed no new players as coach van Gaal said to him he needs no one. He worked almost with the same team but with less success and he was sacked then from Nerlinger. Coach Heynckes tooks over and he finished on the 3rd and imp. place. They go trough Champions League Qualifikation and went straight to the Final there. Also their league performance was not such bad with 2nd place and additional they were in Cup Final as well. But if you know the philosophy and high standard from this club ... 2nd place is not enough and 2 years without any Cup in their hands is more or less lost time. 

Nerlinger blows out 61 Mio for new players but without much success and this is the key, and maybe what counts for this ambitions. Höneß said in an interview that also some different views about the future from the team was there and in this case they have to do this step.

New man Sammer is the big man now. He gets much more potency as Nerlinger has and is called "Sport Manager". He proofed his knowledge and excellent apprecation at the German Football Association (DFB) for 6 years. He changed a lot for DFB above all the youth teams are more successfully now. Also their scouting have much more quality and so on.

Sammer is not an easy one but he has success and this is what Bayern Munich need again !!!

Battle for the title

We have the new season ahead and it looks like that we have the same teams to battle out the title. With defending champion Dortmund and record champion Bayern München. Maybe some surprises happen as well as every season but i can’t see any team which can hold the pressure high on both for a whole distance or all season.

Dortmund won the title two times in a row and broke the streak from Bayern München in that past years a bit. They have a young and hungry team with an absolutely excellent management and a well balanced coaching crew. Also their budget is not as high as Bayern has and in this case they work with youong an talented players or sell some like they did with Kagawa to Manchester United. They got around 15 Mio. for him and they replaced him with Marco Reus from Bor. M’Gladbach. Maybe a big lose for Dortmund because Kagawa played really strong for Dortmund and he was one of the best players they have but on the other side with Reus, they got a real replacement. His best years for sure ahead and he’ s in an huge uptrend too. Otherwise if the do not sell Lewandowski or any other player to a big club they start almost with the same team into new season.

Season 2011/2012 was not the one from Bayern München or their players. They got damaged in almost all Competitions. They have to let the title Dortmund again and lost big at cup finale with 2-5 against Dortmund too. Also their aim to win the Champions League in their own stadium bursted like a soap bubble in the penalty shoot out. But not enough damage done because many of their players are in national team and they lost the semi final to Italy where most of the player showed some of the negative things they have in their head after all this. All this negative experiences must be processed for a start but how to forget such a bad season / year?

After EM is gone for the national players they get their well deserved holidays to fill up their batteries and switch off a bit from all. On the other side after 2 years without a title the alarm bells are ringing in Munich and the managment are working hard to bring more quality and deppness in their squad again. They signed alreay defender Dante from Bor. M’Gladbach, midfielder Shakiri from Basel, Pizarro from Bremen and Mandzukic from Wolfsburg to refresh the team a bit and give them a new face. One place are still open because they search for a central midfielder like Marquez from Bilbao is but he is very expensive right now. Some squad players left the team already but nothing important.
