FC St. Pauli - Fortuna Düsseldorf

Every week the same, last match in 2.Bundesliga on monday evening where FC St. Pauli hosts Fortuna Düsseldorf at “Millerntor”. With a win, both teams could make a huge step forward in table. Sankt Pauli can climb from actually Place 10. to 3. with a win while Fortuna Düsseldorf can move away from rank 15 to eleven and put some Points between them and the bottom places. But could make a bigger step according to win with higher margin.
St. Pauli Coach Michael Frontzeck was indeed pleased with the 2-1 win against FSV Frankfurt last weekend but should not go conform with the performance of his team. Even they could have lost this encounter as well against FSV. The Kiez kickers lacking especially in the central regions of the necessary compactness which allowed the opponent too many chances, what Coach Frontzeck wanted to solve during the recent trainings week. Whether his team can transfer this into the match must be seen today but with another win they go up anyway. In terms of personal, he is going to change maybe. According to news, Bernd Nehrig is fit again after his hamstring problems and take over his former position on the right wing while Kevin Schindler must not longer play on this defensive position where he played very shaky against FSV and allowed too much there. Not available for Frontzeck is top Joker Sebastian Maier, who is struggling with a thigh bruise today.
Not many has changed in Düsseldorf according to disappointing 1-1 draw against bottom team from Dresden. Coach Mike Büskens hoped that important players like DEF Latka and MID fighter Bellinghausen returns this week but they are not fit. Therefore only playmaker Kenia is expected to play from beginning on after he was only ready for a few minutes against Dresden. With Kenia in the starting lineup they change the system for him and start with 4-2-3-1 with the Georgian as a fixe Point in their offensive. Of course, for him one attacker must on bench and it will tend more to Erwin Hoffer than Bance although both late signings could not convince much so far. Two players recovering from injury and both Benshop and Malezas should be in the squad for today’s match but first on bench. As in general no more changes expected, the only one is Kenia but of course Büskens can decide otherwise anyway.
