MATCH PREVIEW
MAIN PREDICTION: AWAY WIN
Aue were beaten 1-0 by Magdeburg at MDCC Arena in midweek, which was their seventh loss on the road during this campaign. However, Aue have been strong in front of their own fans, winning four, drawing three and losing only two of their nine home league fixtures, while they have conceded only ten goals in those league matches, with Union Berlin the only team to have shipped even fewer (five). Before the winter break, Aue were in good shape, registering draws with Jahn Regensburg and Darmstadt whilst registering wins over Greuther Furth and then-unbeaten Union Berlin.

Cologne were defeated only their final league game in 2018 and winning the five league matches prior to that. The team travelled to fellow promotion candidates Union Berlin in midweek and kicked off the new year with a 2-0 loss. The result means they remain in second, trailing leaders Hamburg by four points.

Cologne have been the second best team on the road so far. Although Aue have a good home record giants Cologne are on another level. I fancy the visitors to secure a vital win at Erzgebirgs Stadium this weekend.

SECOND PREDICTION: ODD/EVEN – EVEN
The last three times these team met at Erzgebirgs Stadium there have been even total goals. Have a punt on even total goals in this one.

HEAD TO HEAD
Aue have failed to beat Cologne in their last four league meetings, drawing one and losing three.
