SC Freiburg - 1.FC Nürnberg

Must he help as CDEF (Simons) ?

This can be a match where both teams are almost on the same level also from their form and results in the past. Both lost the last two matches and both want to return on track now. Freiburg with 5 points on their side while Nürnberg with 7 points are not that bad but the last matches were not very good for them.

At home Freiburg showed some ups and downs so far. They were the weaker team against Mainz but got a lucky point. Against Hoffenheim they took advantage from their opponent weak form in defense and scored 5 times and won 5-3. Last match against Bremen was maybe even at the beginning but after they took the lead with a nice free kick they gave Bremen more and more space and they turned it around to an 2-1 win. Freiburg is not a top team, this is only a team who fights against relegation but they do and did it in the past very well. They miss Rosenthal, Flum and suspended Guede today. Coach Streich motivating his team very well and has also some surprise effects sometimes because he change the side from both wings with Mujdza and Sorg, maybe he move back to their normal side today. Otherwise no major changes.

What a drama for FCN against Hannover where they got trashed huge and it was only due to their bad working defensive or maybe to some players who acted very weak like Nillson did. Also against Stuttgart where Nillson got a break from coach Hecking but after some minutes replacement Antonio made a huge mistake and Stuttgart took the lead and the match was lost. Coach Hecking changed again and brought Nillson for Antonio. All in all not a very trustable situation for Nürnberg. The problems are getting worse and worser because Nillson got injured, Antonio is not trustable anymore and at this time only Klose as the last defender left. Coach Hecking want to decide between MID Simons and a young talented player. We have to wait and look a bit where is playing then. If Simons plays in central DEF, he must change the double six as well and Simons replacement can be Cohen beside Balitsch. Not bad for sure because both are excellent fighters. In the offensive it was also not their best time and maybe Hecking change here too. Some alternatives are Frentz, Gebhardt and Polter while Esswein, Mak and Pekhardt have to fear for their place in the starting eleven.

Sure some things are bad at the moment for Nürnberg but they played much better away from home as at home and I think it is worth to take them here. Although they got a huge defeat against Hannover but the other two matches they won at Hamburg 1-0 and Gladbach 3-2 and if we compare these teams they are almost on the same level as Freiburg. I try this.
