MATCH PREVIEW
MAIN PREDICTION: HOME WIN
Heidenheim were not far off beating leaders Cologne away from home last time out to seal their fifth league win of the season. They opened the scoring only nine minutes into the league match, but the hosts' Sehrou Guirassy netted the equaliser in the 58thminute to rescue a point at Rhein Energie Stadium for Markus Anfang’s men. Nevertheless, the 1-1 draw was a welcome result for Heidenheim. The team have accumulated 16 points so far, with four wins, four draws and three defeats, and are sitting in eighth, with only three points separating them from the top three.
Aue are unbeaten in their last three league matches with two wins and one draw, after beating Bielefeld 1-0 at home last weekend. Sitting only three places and five points above the drop zone, it is their away form that has cost them so far. Only four of their 14 points have been claimed on the road where they have won just once so far, along with one draw and four losses.
Heidenheim have been superb at home this term, winning three, drawing one and losing one of their five league matches at Voith Arena. I expect them to seal their fourth home win this weekend against poor travellers Aue.
SECOND PREDICTION: ODD/EVEN – EVEN
Two of Heidenheim's four league wins have come by a two-goal margin while Aue have lost two of their four league defeats by two goals too. My money is going on even total goals.
HEAD TO HEAD
Heidenheim have won their last two home league meetings with Aue, with their latest a 2-1 victory in August 2017.
