MATCH PREVIEW
MAIN PREDICTION: HOME WIN
Following back-to-back defeats at the beginning of February, things are finally starting to look up for Jahn Regensburg. The side are unbeaten in their three league matches as Achim Beierlorzer’s men managed to hold Dresden to a 0-0 draw before beating promotion contenders Hamburg at home and sixth-placed Heidenheim away, both by a 2-1 scoreline. Having registered nine wins, nine draws and six losses in the league so far, Regensburg are in eighth with 36 points.
Since arriving at Schauinslandreisen Arena back in October, Torsten Lieberknecht has picked up five wins, three draws and eight losses in the league as Duisburg boss. Two of those victories have arrived in their last five league outings (one draw, two losses), including in the form of a 1-0 success at home over Magdeburg last time out, but the team are still in a precarious position, sitting in 16th place with two points from safety.
Jahn Regensburg have been in decent form of late and will be targeting all three points against their lowly opponents. I’m predicting a win for the home team.
SECOND PREDICTION: HILO - HIGH
The last three league fixtures between these two sides have produced 13 goals in total, or 4.33 on average. With that in mind, take a punt on a high-scoring outcome.
HEAD TO HEAD
Jahn Regensburg have won two and lost one of their three league meetings against Duisburg.
