1.FC Köln - SV Sandhausen

Bad start into the season for Köln. Their coach Stanislawski and his team was not able to beat Eintracht Braunschweig and lost in the end 0-1. This was because of their slow play above all in midfield where they were not able to play fast and efficent. Although Köln has much more ball possession as Braunschweig but created less chances and was not dangerous enough infront of the goal too. Many new faces were in the starting lineup with 6 but they need a bit more time as they showed already.

Also Sandhausen with a very slow start into the new season what is almost a adventure for them. The newcomer played a bit to careful and the 3 new guys in the starting lineup were not able to bring more quality and maybe more power in their play forward. With Tüting a new player scored but it seems that the team need some time one class higher and they have to do a lot to bring some dangerous situations or create much much more as they did against FSV Frankfurt.

Both teams have to bring a lot more as they did at their first match. Let's see how both can react in their second match. Köln with zero points almost in a must win situation but their fans will help a lot because it's an absolutely new situation for Sandhausen to play for such a big crowd. They do not know this and they never played. The only good thing for Sandhausen should be that only 23.000 allowed due to punishment from DFB for fan excess last season. Last but not least both teams have to exploit infront of the goal if they want to win this encounter.

Both sides miss some players as follows:

Köln: Kessler (gebrochener Handwurzelknochen), McKenna (Sprunggelenk-OP), Clemens (Bänderanriss im Sprunggelenk)

Sandhausen: Hiegl (Muskelfaserriss), Kandziora (Muskelfaserriss), Danneberg (Reha), Ulm (Knieprobleme)
