Eintracht Frankfurt - VfB Stuttgart

Frankfurt played under the week a big match in EL but knocked out although they lost none of the two matches. Only because of the more scored away goals advanced Porto. Maybe this can be a huge problem for this encounter maybe. They were up 2-0 and 3-2 and knocked out in the end. It is a big head problem from some of the players today. They must find the right balance and find back to their normal way and business. According to the situation they miss some important players like Schwegler and Rode what makes things not easier. On the other side Stuttgart is on a huge downtrend and they won nothing from all their recent matches. From week to week they get more and more in danger and the bottom zone is not far away. Above all if they continue this way.

Statistic:

- Frankfurt won only one of their last 13 BL matches against Stuttgart.
- This was in October 2010 with 2-1, and the record looks as follows 1-3-9.
- The "Hessen" are winless since 13 years at home. The last success was 2000/01 with 2-1.
- Since then they are 0-2-6 in this period.
- Stuttgart are on a huge downtrend, they lost all their last 7 BL matches.
- Also VfB conceded always in the past at least one goal.
- Since Eintracht plays EL this season they won not much before or after such a match.
- They won only 2 of their 14 matches before or after an EL game (2-6-6).
- Eintracht could kept 3 times a clean sheet in their last home matches.

Frankfurt with some problems above all in central midfield where Schwegler suspended and Rode injured are not available. Therefore Veh must change a bit and let Russ and Lanig play in the central position.

Some important news as with captain Gentner is and important man back in the squad and also suspended midfielder Leitner is back and can help here. The only big miss is striker Ibisevic who is still suspended.
