Bayern München - Eintracht Frankfurt

It looks like Bayern Munich has some problems if they have to play without of their two best offensive wings. The defeat against Gladbach hurts big and after Robben got injured in this game Bayern was almost helpless in their offensive play. Also against Dortmund they showed nothing in offensive and they created nothing. They took the lead due to one action from Lewandowski and Müller but all in all in 90 minutes nothing. Ok, the absent of Robben, Ribery, Schweinsteiger, Benatia and Alaba is a big blow also for a team like team although they talk that they have the quality in their squad but none of the available players were or is able to surprise in one against one and open the space for some other offensive players. Nevertheless against Dortmund Coach Guardiola changed his tactic from ball possession to a more defensive controlled game. They looked only to give Dortmund not the space they need for their counter attacks and their fast players like Reus and Aubameyang. This was one of the key facts and not the normal play from Bayern Munich but the situation forced this anyway. The Cup game showed some other sign and they played compact but had some good attempts on target. This means that they are able above all at home to hurt a weak Frankfurt's defensive side although they miss their important wings. And Guardiola said without both it is a different style of play from Bayern right now.

Overall Frankfurt is doing well and they are far away from any trouble, also they have the top scorer of the league in their rows. Nevertheless they had a lot of problems on the road recently. Several times they took the lead and played a really good first half but were not able to take advantage of it and in second half they disappeared and conceded a lot. If this was in Freiburg, Stuttgart or last weekend at home to Hannover, they have problems in second half. Of course they have one of the best offensive lines of the league and they are always able to create and score anytime but their defensive play is also one of the weakest in the league and they conceded a lot. This is due to their offensive minded players and the bad work against the ball. All know this but Coach Schaaf said that he does not change anything because if he does, he stop their strength in offensive, he is more for spectacle as only playing for a result. This means that they are playing the same style in Munich and it can be a hard match because Munich loves such opponents like opposite teams like Gladbach played or some others against them. The biggest miss for Frankfurt is their top scorer Meier who could not travel with the team to Munich due to injury worries. This means that they have one big weapon out, also imp. defender Zambrano will miss what makes it not better in defensive for them too.

Overall I think have Bayern the better players despite their missing here and they should take the Points above all after the last home lose they never lose twice. Therefore I have to go with them, although the HC is big and although they have 120 minutes in their legs under the week.
