Bor. M'Gladbach - FC Schalke 04

It seems that Borussia M’Gladbach is on a good way for the european spot this season. They are doing very well and celebrating win after win in the past. They are on a five match consecutive winning streak in which they open the gap to place 5 to four points already. This is a huge advantage at the moment and their good home record speaks additional for them. In all their seven home matches they have left the pitch as a winner. This means 7-0-0 record at home but in recent matches the offensive power was very less and they did hard above all against bottom teams like Nürnberg and Freiburg. Within seven days they have the next home match ahead and it is an important one against a direct rival for fourth place. The run is incredible and it is the best in their home history ever so far, they never won more from beginning. Despite the new record they looked very harmless and have less idea and also missed the fresh and quick offensive play. This is because in almost all matches Coach Favre counts on the same offensive players, it means that they are tired at the end of the year now. Arango, Kruse, Hermann, Raffael stands on the pitch in all the recent matches and most of them had no breaks. According to this huge effort it is acceptable that the play is not much constant as to beginning of the season. Also the long run can bring some satisfaction of the players and they do not go the last step what is needed now. But overall sooner or later they lose points at home, no team walk through the league with clean home record.

The tree is burning at Schalke after the unexpected Cup knock out against Hoffenheim in their arena. It was more as harmless what they brought on the pitch in the first 45 minutes. I can not see that Gladbach is walking through the league.
