SV Sandhausen - Greuther Fürth

After the win from leader Cologne over FSV Frankfurt yesterday, Greuther Fürth can not overcome them but they can take the basis that they are on second place after 17 Rounds with a win. Therefore they must not hope that Kaiserslautern drop points but the win is needed here. Overall not an easy task at Sandhausen where most of the opponents left with only one or without points. This team is very strong at home and they are very hard to play and crack anyway. They come into this match without losing a single home match so far but they had a hard cup match under the week and maybe this can be an advantage for the rested Greuther Fürther team.

During the week Sandhausen got a lot of self confidence despite their Cup knock out against Frankfurt. They played really well and they were a hard and fair opponent for Eintracht. This maybe gives them an additional boost for the league matches here. This is now against Fürth their target again, but this time they do not want to lose the game. Compared to the Cup game some changes are expected in starting lineup from Schwartz. Striefler is not available after his fifth yellow card and therefore the first change must be done. The system should be the same as in the past with 4-1-3-1 as it was very successful for them. Coach Schwartz mentioned that this is a home game and he wants to field a bit more offensive lineup as in Cup away. Therefore on the six with Linsmayer and Tüting ahead of these duo should be on the wings Klotz and Thiede while David Ulm plays central offensive. In attack they must field Blum again although he is not a striker, more a midfield player but the alternatives are less and both strikers Jovanovic and Alder will miss again today.

Unlike to Sandhausen was Fürth not involved in the Cup matches and they could prepare the whole week for this encounter what give them a huge advantage. It is assumed that coach Frank Kramer has tried to find the right balance in team with some effort to refine the processes after winning last week to Energie Cottbus 1-0 but they missed a lot of good opportunities to decided the match early. Not many changes expected, maybe none. Only in central back is defender Korcsmar back and he can replace maybe Kleine in starting lineup but it is not out yet. Also in offensive Murdrinski is an option for Füllkrug who was not at his best level against Cottbus and is maybe a candidate to change. But overall the same team from the game last sunday should start.
