S04 has again a long list of players who are not available. With Höger, Farfan, Kirchhoff, Papadopoulos, Höwedes, Fuchs, Uchida, Clemens and Aogo they miss a lot.
Less problems on Gladbach's side because with Xhaka and Wendt they miss only two.
Ok, Schalke played a great second half of the season but in the past matches it looks like that the young team has lost a lot of power and they are not in such good condition anymore. This can be a key fact in the end now. The youngsters were great but they are all tired now and according to the huge injury problems they can get no rest again. Not many players left and Coach Keller must count on the same as in the past what is not such easy at the moment.
The team from Gladbach played a great first half of the season but lost the good play in the winter break maybe. They are far away from these good matches they made 2013. No one knows what happen there because they did not much different as before but success was not as good as before. Therefore they have to be much more focused and maybe work harder to get the right position they want in the end. Some points are needed to get an international spot anyway.
Close match expected but if Schalke play like they did in Stuttgart this can be an easy walk over for Gladbach as they have the much experienced players in their rows while Schalke must count on a lot of youngsters again.
