They are, however, unbeaten in their last three on their own turf in league action (one win, two draws).
Darmstadt have not been faring well of late. Dirk Schuster’s Lilies have lost six of their past nine league matches, winning just one and drawing two in the process. After suffering a 3-2 defeat away at rock-bottom Duisburg in round 20, Darmstadt lost 2-1 at home against promotion contenders Heidenheim last weekend. Only five of their 22 league points have come on the road, with no other side performing worse away from home. The club are now just six points above the bottom three in 14th place.
This is a huge league fixture at the bottom of the league table, with both sides in need of points. I can see them cancelling each other out and will back the draw in this one.

Sandhausen have scored only one goal on average at home while Darmstadt have barely netted more on their travels, recording 12 goals in their ten away league matches.
