MATCH PREVIEW
MAIN PREDICTION: HOME WIN
St. Pauli have dropped down to sixth after losing 2-1 away at Holstein Kiel in the league last weekend, despite playing with one more man on the pitch for the entire second half and going into the break 1-0 up. Sitting in sixth and four points below the coveted playoff spot, the team will now be desperate for all three points this weekend. Overall, Markus Kauczinski’s men have been decent at home with only four other sides boasting more points in front of their own crowd. However, they have lost two, drawn one and won only one of their last four league matches on their own patch.

Bielefeld have improved drastically since mid-December, losing just three, drawing two and winning seven of their last 12 matches in the league. Since losing 5-1 to leaders Cologne last month, the side have won two and drawn one of their past three league matches, with their latest league outing a 2-1 home victory against Aue. Their upswing in fortunes has seen them move away from trouble, with Bielefeld now sitting in ninth place on 38 points.

St. Pauli have been in underwhelming form of late, but the club will be targeting all three points against average travellers Bielefeld at Millerntor. My money is going on a St. Pauli victory here.

SECOND PREDICTION: ODD/EVEN - ODD
St. Pauli’s last three victories in the league have been by one goal. Meanwhile Bielefeld’s last three league defeats against St. Pauli have also come by a one-goal margin. Therefore, back odd total goals to be scored in this one.

HEAD TO HEAD
Three of the last five league meetings have been won by St. Pauli with Bielefeld registering only one win during this time, along with one draw.
