MATCH PREVIEW
MAIN PREDICTION: HOME WIN
Despite having a player sent off in the second half, Duisburg battled to a 0-0 draw with mid-table side Aue at Erzgebirgs Stadium in their last league outing. Rooted to the bottom of the table with 17 points and five points from safety, the draw did little to increase their chances of avoiding the drop. However, they did at least avoid defeat – for only the second time in their last nine league fixtures (one win, one draw, seven losses).

Magdeburg have done well so far in 2019, winning three and drawing two of their five league outings this year. After beating Bielefeld 3-1 away from home two weeks ago, they held in-form Paderborn to a 1-1 home draw last weekend. Their incredible run has allowed the team to climb out of the drop zone and they are now sitting three points above the bottom three.

Duisburg have the worst home record in the German second division, winning two and losing nine of their 11 home league games. However, this league fixture will be key for the home team, given that they will have the chance to reduce the gap to safety to only two points. I think they will come out on top here.

SECOND PREDICTION: ODD/EVEN – ODD
Duisburg’s last two league wins have been secured by one-goal margins. Take a punt on odd total goals to be netted here, too.

HEAD TO HEAD
There have only been three recent league meeting between these sides. In September, they played out an entertaining 3-3 draw at Benteler Arena, while in the third division back in 2016-17, Duisburg won away and drew at home.
