MATCH PREVIEW
MAIN PREDICTION: HOME WIN
Union Berlin were beaten for the second time in league action in 2019 two weeks ago, losing 2-1 at Heidenheim. They have won five and drawn one of their other six league matches this year. Urs Fischer’s side have been strong at home all season, winning nine and drawing four of their 13 home league matches at Alte Forsterei. They have in fact the best home record in Germany’s second division.

Paderborn currently occupy seventh spot and are six points behind Union Berlin, who are in third. The team picked up their first win since mid-February last time out, beating rock-bottom Ingolstadt 3-1 at Benteler Arena. Prior to that victory, the club had taken only one point from the last nine on offer in league action, drawing one and losing two.

Union Berlin will want to keep hold of their promotion/relegation playoff spot with a convincing victory over Paderborn. The home side should be far too strong for the struggling travelers, who have won only one of their last five away league matches (one draw, three losses). My money is going on the home win.

SECOND PREDICTION: ODD/EVEN - EVEN
73% of Union Berlin’s and 62% of Paderborn’s league matches this season have finished with even total goals. Expect even total goals here, too.

HEAD TO HEAD
Paderborn are unbeaten in their last three league meetings at Alte Forsterei, winning two and drawing one.
