Bayer Leverkusen - FC Augsburg

The „Werks“ Team from Bayer Leverkusen is the only team which can compete with Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund this season so far. They are only one Point behind leader Bayern Munich and even with Borussia Dortmund. What is a great success for them at the moment but it can be that the double stress with League and Champions League can cost some Points. Nevertheless they did well and looked very well in the recent matches but actual they had a lot of luck in their two last matches. Against Bayern Munich they were totally outplayed but it was only due to their luck and keeper Leno that they did not lose this one. Also last weekend they got a lot of help from Referee Brych, who did not count a clear goal for Hoffenheim and also allowed a goal for them where ball did not reach beyond the normal way into the goal, but came through the side netting through a hole in the net. A lot of luck what they had but sooner or later this can go an other way and they have to work more to win matches. Nevertheless their offensive style is very good above all the wings with Sam and Son are always good for some actions where striker Kießling get supported very well. This was shown in CL match against Donezk under the week with some great actions and goals from them. Ok, they had again some luck on their side as the penalty was not one and additional one goal was offside scored from them. Although both central midfield player with Bender and Reinartz were out in CL and maybe are not available on Saturday Coach Hyppiä has a good hand with inform Rolfes and Can, both made their job very well. This showed already that they have some players in back where they can count if the situation getting worse. Overall almost the same lineup from CL is expected for the match today. Kießling is  a doubt here, all know but Coach decides in the end of he plays today !!!

The “Fuggerstädter” are very proud of her team and what has been achieved so far. Of course they got not much out of the past matches and they are getting closer to red zone. This should not be such a problem for them because they know the situation and handle it very well. Nevertheless Coach Weinzierl demands for more input to turn things around but he has to replace both back wings due to suspension. This takes de Jong and Voigt in a good position for a place in starting lineup against Leverkusen. All other positions should be the same as against Wolfsburg, only DEF Klavan can move into the team after returning from suspension. Despite their bad away record they played well and push from beginning on to create some good opportunities but according to their good and balanced play they are not so often able to score or use their great chances. If they can only use a few it is not far away that they get something in the upcoming matches. All in team know this and they travel very confident to Leverkusen to annoy one of the BL top team.

Normally this match is a clear one for the home team but I am not sure about according to their luck in the past and additional their run with winning all home HC’s this season so far. Therefore it might be much wiser to wait for some in running action as I am not very confident that they can beat -1 here. In running we can get -0,75 or -0,5 even if they fall behind it is worth a shot anyway. Moreover it is nice to see how they come into the game after the CL match under the week. I expect a dangerous team from Augsburg who should be able to hurt Leverkusen. Although Augsburg offensive line needs a lot to score I believe in them today and from what is Leverkusen’s offensive able to bring we all know therefore it can be a good opportunity to take the OVER line here instead of side bet.
