Union Berlin - Erzgebirge Aue

Thanks to the defeat from Greuther Fürth on Friday Union Berlin has the chance to take some advantage and use the chance with a win against Erzgebirge Aue. This win put them in a very good position and they are for sure one of the biggest promotion candidates anyway. With a win they open the gap to four Points to third place. But on the other side Aue celebrated an enormously important win 2-1 against Bochum last weekend and with at least a Point here they want to establish themselves away from the relegation places in midfield.

Comapred to the goalless draw in Cottbus Union Berlin starting lineup is not expected for many changes. It is only possible that Michael Parensen move beside Kreilach in central midfield for a more comapct play and Kohlmann defends on the left wing for him. Unfortunately this change would put Baris Özbek out of the starting lineup who could not convince in his last match much. The same situation for striker Terodde in attack which is feeling the pressure of Adam Nemec but nevertheless may well start again and to contribute the necessary goals for the win today. If they manages the win today and put another three Points on their side the absolutely top game awaits them next monday when they face the leader Cologne. But with a success of a four goals margin today they midght even already be overthrown Cologne.

Aue’s Coach Falko Götz has to change at least on two positions in his starting lineup to previous week because left back Nils Miatke got his fifth yellow card and is suspended here while Oliver Schröder is out as well, who has broken the cruciate ligament against Bochum. Therefore captain Klingbeil move from central back to the left wing and plays instead Miatke there while Thomas Paulus gives his comeback after a long break in the middle. More tricky is already the central midfield position where Schröder is out and Fink had an incredible weak day against Bochum. It is conceivable therefore that a completely new midfield row plays today. Possible is that Götz sends with Diring and Pezzoni a complete new double six on the pitch. On the offensive, however, the Violets are likely to begin unchanged, especially the good form of the successful twice goals scorer Guido Kocer makes some hopes for a good offensive play at the „Alten Försterei“.

It is very nice to see how Union is playing at the moment, they are known for their home strength and because of their good away style too this season they are more as a promotion candidate. This gives a lot of hope in Berlin and the fans are celebration every game at home anyway. The support is absolutely great and the team give a lot back anyway. They have a very good and balanced squad and they found the right players to strength the squad additional. All worked well so far and I see them above Aue anyway. As I already wrote Aue has to change some and not even on unimportant positions what give me a lot of confidence that Union can win this match today. Additional fact can be that we have no home win so far in 2.BL this Round and hopefully I picked the right match here !!!
